I Have A Bump On My Left Testicle

Lump on my testicle gone?

I'm 18 and about three weeks ago I found a small hard round lump on the left side of my left testicle. Then two weeks ago I went to the doctor to have my testicles checked. The doctor told me that the bump seemed unusual. He told me that it was not cancerous nor did it seem like a cyst. He said that the bump was not on the testicle itself but on the outer layer of the testicle (not the scrotum). He said I was ok and saw nothing wrong, and told me to check myself periodically and to come back if there are any changes.

Now when I feel for the hard lump it's hardly there. I can barely find it. When I do, it feels more like a small elongated bump that I can barely feel, rather than a hard round lump that I had previously. Sometimes I think I'm confusing it with a possible artery. What does this possible lump mean? Should I get it checked again?

I have a lump on my left testicle.. ?

A hard lump in either testis could be a symptom of testicular cancer. This can be painful or tender in 10 to 20% of affected men.
Is a lump in the testis always cancer?
There are other lumps that can be found in the testis that can be non-cancerous. It is important to see a doctor to make sure any lumps felt are not testicular cancer. An ultrasound examination of the testis can find out what type of lump it is. The main types of non-cancerous lumps are:

Epididymal cyst
Epididymal cysts are fluid-filled cysts that come from the epididymis, and are very common. Often discovered when about the size of a pea, they feel slightly separate from the top of the testis. These lumps can slowly increase in size and can feel like a third testis. Epididymal cysts can happen at any age and should be left alone when still small, but can be removed with surgery if they become larger.

Spermatocele
Spermatocele are similar to epididymal cysts. The only differences are that the lump is usually connected to the testis, and the swelling is filled with fluid containing sperm and sperm-like cells.

Hydatid of Morgagni
Found at the top of the testis, a Hydatid of Morgagni is a small cyst that is separate from the epididymis and sometimes found on a thin strand of tissue. These common cysts are moveable and can cause pain if they twist. There is no risk of cancer from these cysts, and unless they are causing pain, should be left alone.

Who should I see for help?
If you notice a hard lump or any change in your testes you should see a local doctor straight away. The local doctor may then give a referral to a specialist (urologist). A urologist deals specifically with problems in the genital and urinary tracts of both men and women.

What else could a lump on my testicle be?

Testicular cancers occur in the testicle. There is stuff outside the testicle that include the epididymis and blood vessels. Bumps and swelling of this stuff outside the testicle are common and sometimes there's discomfort from inflammation and/or infection.A lump within the testicle needs examination by ultrasound. If there is any question, make an appointment with a urologist. These doctors specialize in treating problems in that area. Testicular Self Exam

Small squishy lump on left testicle?

okay, not to panic just yet.

1 if you feel your testical, it's best to sort of put all your fingers together, and sort of roll or move your fingers over each testical to feel for a lump. there is a small squashy lump on the end of each testical, this is connected to a tube/duct and is normal. if you feel any hard lumps consult a doctor immidiatly.

2, there are tubes in the scrotum sack, these tubes can feel funny, try to feel if it is a tube or a lump, and the size of the lump.

3 sometimes the hairs that grow on your scrotum sack can get infected and cause a small hard lump, dont mistake this for a lump onside the scrotum.

if you find anything odd, it's really best to get it checked out by a doctor, trust me they wont think your stupid or wasting there time, they will tell you exactly what it is.
it's like a minute check, not even that, and there very discreet and will tell you exactly what will happen and when. it's best to get it checked by a professional then to worry for the next few years on what it could be and then discover it was nothing, or it was something serious that you could have treated then, but left it too late!

I’ve had a small lump on my left testicle for quite some time, it hasn’t grown or anything. It’s about a pea size and is hard. What could it be? If it was cancer wouldn’t it have grown?

On http://emedicinehealth.com the following is the first listing under abnormal results in a testicular self examination.A small, hard lump (often about the size of a pea) is felt on the surface of the testicle, or the testicle is swollen or enlarged. If you notice a lump or swelling during TSE, contact your doctor immediately. Do not delay or wait for the lump to go away, because it may be an early sign of testicular cancer. Immediate treatment provides the best chance for a cure.If the cancer is a seminomas, slow growth would be normal.I nothing else, you should see a doctor so you can stop worrying.

Why do I have a small soft lump in my testicles? Can this be testicular cancer? I’m a 19 year old male and recently noticed a lump on the left testicle.

A baseball bat could have made its way there.Maybe you swallowed a pin.Maybe your thyroid is in overdrive. What is my point? This is an online forum and you should not be asking medical advice from us rather than speaking to a doctor. It could be cancer, it could be something else but as someone whose sister put off going to the doctor for a while after she had a suspicious looking lump, it led to harsh chemo and a far more severe stage of cancer if she had just gone in when she first found it.Be safe. See a doctor.
