I Have A Chem And Physic Problem

What should I take, Ap bio, ap chem, physics...?

you should definitely take Physics next year, because I'm kind of in your situation right now too, and i was going to take AP Chem however I'm not very good at chemistry, so i decided just to take Honors Physics next year because colleges look at Biology, Chemistry and Physics, so it's important to take those classes, and then for senior year, you can take whatever science you want, especially take Physics Junior year because Junior year matters the most. and who knows you might be good at Physics.

Physics or chemistry?

Chemistry. By far. It depends on what you like the most, do a little research about both. Look up some basic chemistry and physics problems and see what is most interesting to you. I thought I wanted to go into physics until I realized it is black magic and definitely not for me. Physics requires a special brain that is very detailed. I have high respect for physics majors. However, it seems to me that with all my friends who were majoring in physics, they hated chemistry. They were amazing at physics, but horrible at chemistry, and I was amazing at chemistry but horrible at physics. The best way is to do problems and see if you like it and understand it. The more you don't understand or it doesn't come too natural you might get frustrated. You have to try hard at whatever you do, that is given! But although physics sounds amazing, it is some rough stuff! Go with your gut. Good luck! :)

What Is Harder, Physics Or Chemistry?

I would say physics is harder.

For me, it's easier to visualise molecular orbitals, the reaction of chemical species or structure of chemical compounds. I ended up with a PhD in the subject and later lectured in the subject and carried out published research.

With physics I always felt that, beyond a certain level, I simply accepted the veracity of the equations and applied them as appropriate, but often struggling with attempts to visualise the equations in the physical context - and I don't just mean quantum-level physics.

I think if you're good at maths and/or good at abstraction of abstruse ideas the physics is relatively easy. If not, then chemistry is easier.

High school chemistry problem?

A chemistry student needs 30.0mL of ethanolamine for an experiment. By consulting the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics, the student discovers that the density of ethanolamine is 1.02g*cm^-3. Calculate the mass of ethanolamine the student should weigh out. Round to 3 significant figures.

Thanks for all the help!!!!!!!!

Physics chemistry question?

I have this chemistry-ish question in my physics book.

The relative humidity is 64% on a day when the temperature is 30.0 oC. Using the graph that accompanies this problem, determine the number of moles of water vapor per cubic meter of air.

There is a graph showing vapor pressure of water (pa) at 30 degrees celcius is 4200pa

I assume I use PV=nRT but I m not sure where to use that to 64%

I love biology, but I'm terrible at chem, physics, and calculus. All hope is lost?

Don't sweat it. I suck at maths too, and I never even studied physics or chemistry in High School.

You don't actually need much maths for a biology degree, just some basic statistics which you can learn by rote. That's how I did it. Never understood a damn bit of biometry until well after I graduated. I never once used calculus during my undergrad work and only used trigonometry once.

You can get through almost any biology degree without doing any physics at all if you wish.

Chemistry is relatively important, but not impossible to get through if you are prepared to put in a bit of work. As I said, I didn't even study chem in HS and never had any problems with tertiary chem. The main thing to remember is that if you suck at the subject just study for the exam, don't try to understand it. That is being honest. Study so you can answer the exam questions and forget everything else.

Take it form someone who's been there, you can get through undergrad biol with no mathematical ability whatsoever.
