At least until EVERYTHING, little bumps, dropping something, etc., repeats also. He finally gets back to sleep, but the next morning, same song, etc. This goes on for a while until he thinks about his life and changes his way.Now when he wakes up, he goes to take piano lessons. at first, of course, he is terrible. Later, with practice, he is thought to be a professional pianist.The key to changing his life was to change his ways and become a better man. One way, was for him to learn the piano. Legolas is not immortal. He will not live forever. In fact, no elf will live forever (except for Luthien). You see, when Men die, their souls go off (through Mandos, through the exit, blah, blah, blah) to some unknown paradise, since they are not attached to Arda. On the other hand, even though elves will eventually return from Mandos if they are killed, there is still that giant apocalypse in their futures- Dagor Dagorath, or the Final Battle (similar to Armageddon). And since lots of people will die in that battle, and Eru Iluvatar has no further plan for the elves and has not stated their role in the new world, it is assumed that they will just all be wiped out. There you have it- everyone has mixed up LotR’s two main species. Elves are not the immortal ones- the Atani (Mankind) are.I know, right? That contradicts literally everything they say in the movies, but don’t listen to the movies. They changed so much stuff in there, especially with Legolas. He wasn’t even a blonde! It was specifically stated “Frodo looked up at the Elf standing tall above him, as he gazed into the night, seeking a mark to shoot at. His head was dark, crowned with sharp white stars that glittered in the black pools of the sky behind.” (page 387) See? Legolas is a brunette. Elves can die. And elves will die (since their souls are forever trapped inside Arda and Arda will be destroyed).

Oropher’s mentioned because he founded the kingdom in Greenwood and because he died at the end of the Second Age. He’s described as a noble Sinda of Doriath. Thranduil became king after his death. Since Thranduil had at least one child, we know that he was married. Mrs. Thranduil might well be alive at the time of The Hobbit. All we know is that Bilbo either didn’t see her or didn’t mention her. Legolas might have siblings. He might have aunts, uncles, and cousins. If they exist they play no part in the story.For what it’s worth, we aren’t told the name of Gimli’s mother either.
