I Have A Dodge Ram 1500 Year 2000 Van And The Break Lights Stop Working. Any .

Dodge ram 1500 interior lights wont turn off?

make sure you dont have them turned on at the control switch for them if you do they wont turn off, theres a switch on the dash that turns them off,if that isnt it its the timer that has went bad on it or the door jam switch is sticking on it,good luck.

Brake light and abs light came on at the same time on my dodge ram 1500 4 door truck?

If it has 4 wheel ABS the red brake lamp (which is normally reserved for the parking brake) will come on by default with the yellow ABS lamp whenever the ABS module detects a problem, so it's normal to see both lights at the same time. All it means is the ABS Module has detected a fault in the system. When this happens the module will light the warning lamps and inhibit ABS operation but your service brakes wont be affected.
You need to have it scanned by a shop with proper diagnostic equipment, there will be a code that points you in the direction of the problem.
Usually you will find a bad wheel bearing or speed sensor but there are allot of other possibilities.
If you want to check the basics yourself you can jack up the front wheels and check for play in the front wheel bearings. Check the speed sensor wiring from the hubs up to the fender wells for chaffing or breakage and check the wiring to the sensor on the rear differential, that one gets caught by brush or snow and damaged pretty regularly. Other than that you will need a scan to get to the problem.
Best of Luck!

2001 dodge ram hard brake line diameter?

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500, 4x4, 5.9L. The hard brake line on the drivers side rusted through and blew on me a couple days ago. Obviously I need to replace it - does anyone know where I can find out what the diameter on the hard brake line is? Otherwise I'm going to have to cut it to take to the parts store to get the proper diameter and I really don't want to do that. I'm buying all the parts and someone else is fixing for me - I don't really have the proper tools to cut this line!! Would really like to avoid doing that!

Thanks in advance!

Dodge Ram cluster not working, no gauges, read "No Bus", runs fine?

I'm not entirely sure but I think the NOBUS display is due to a failure to receive the readout for the instrument display, generally either a short or a bad connector will conk ou the whole instrument panel.

Most panels come apart fairly easily with a few screws that retain the cluster, then another 4 or so that hold it in.

I would check the connection if there is no issue at the fuse, there may have been a problem that developed somewhere.

edit: also check possible BCM (body control module) issues
generally a good deal of readout for the dash run through the BCM.

Towing Capacity- 2001 Dodge Ram 1500?

I have just purchased a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 regular cab, long bed pickup. It has a 5.2L and automatic, and also a factory tow package.
It has a 3.55:1 rear, trans cooler, bigger radiator, and oil cooler.
What is the maximum towing capacity for this truck? The manual states 7,800lbs. but the GCWR isn't high enough to support that claim.
I have a 31ft. travel trailer that I need to tow with it, the trailer weighs 6,300lbs fully loaded, and is a bumper pull.
The truck also has a Class IV hitch rated at 10,000lbs, and the truck already has an electric brake controller.
Thanks

Van jerks when slowing to a stop?

The 41TE has always had issues with "bump stop" a condition where the L/R clutch seals become worn, or harden and cause a momentary delay in engagement, causing a noticeable bump when coming to a stop. Sometimes this condition will manifest itself as a delay in engagement when cold also.
The only real way to accurately diagnose it it to look at transmission data, (CVI, codes in memory) and perform an air test on the clutch pack, (requiring the valve body to be removed).
I would want to pull diagnostic codes first and look at engineering data (@ clutch volume indexes (CVI's)
perform clutch tests, and verify proper speed sensor operation.
Q. Does it ever go into "limp-in mode"?
The transmission uses a highly friction modified synthetic fluid, partly because of high operating temperatures, so if the van has an overheat issue this could decrease the use full life of the transmission.

Dodge Ram 1500 life expectancy?

man that truck has a lot of miles on it and is going to be needing some work done to it before too long, even though the price is real cheap on it id think about it real good, your buying a truck that is over half way worn out,and regardless of how good a dodge is you will be spending some money on that one,i guarantee it,i got a ram 1500 with well over two hundred thousand on it, but it has also had the timing chain replaced and several major repairs done to it to keep it going, good luck.

Why do my hazard lights work, but not my turn signals?

Hazard lights and turn signals use the same bulb, so it is not the bulb, the lamp, or the cables to them. Turn signals only work when the ignition is on; hazard lights work whether the ignition is on or not. The two systems have separate power supplies, so they have separate fuses. You may have a blown fuse.Different vehicles use different circuits, and it is not possible to accurately diagnose the fault with the small amount of information provided. You need a circuit diagram and a voltmeter, and a continuity tester. First locate and test the turn signal fuse. Do you have voltage to and from the turn signal switch? The hazard light switch is not a simple on/off switch. In the “on” position, a fused battery feed connects to left and right turn signal. In the “off” position, the left turn switch wire is connected to the left turn lamp and the right turn switch wire is connected to the right turn lamp, so there are 3 inputs and 2 outputs. The fault could be a fuse, turn signal switch, hazard switch, flasher unit, or a broken wire or connection.

My dodge ram wont stay running unless i keep giving it gas why?

The car needs a good tune up. If the check engine is not on, check the sensors. You need to go to a place where they have a scanner and see what are the codes. Good luck! ( :
