I Have A Hp Inspiron 560s And I Want To Buy A Graphics Card. Iam Gonna Buy It Online. But Im Not

Graphic card recommendations?

In response to C-Man:

My resolution is at 1680x1050. Although I operate my games at lower resolutions because I find the higher resolutions do have a rather negative effect on the FPS. You talk about the PSU requirements for a variety of graphic cards, but what about the other specifications in the PC? If I wanted to opt for the GeForce GTS450 you talk about (having watched videos of this card being used in the games I play it looks awesome) would updating processor etc help? (I ask this because each video I have seen with this GTS450 card seems to have i7 processors or equivalent)

Is a 2.9ghz AMD processor good enough?

I assume you're talking about the Pavilion HPE h8m (regular tower) because the slimline model h8m is terribly limited in terms of upgrades, and wouldn't be good for gaming.

2.9Ghz is fine for what you've described. Moving up to 3.0Ghz wouldn't really be worthwhile. The price of a 6-core isn't justified because that won't help your gaming performance either.

The BIGGEST factor affecting gaming performance is your graphics card. And neither of those options from HP are very palatable. The GT 530 is an improvement, but it's actually slower than the Radeon HD 6570 which costs $20 less. The extra memory is raising the price without affecting performance. Having 2gb of video memory is only useful when running multiple monitors or gaming at ultra-high resolutions like 2560x1600 (which none of the cards offered by HP are powerful enough to handle)

The best of HP's options is the Radeon HD 6570. But for even better value.... buy the computer with the minimum graphics option (Radeon HD 6450). Then order one of these online:

Both of those cards are superior to HP's best option. Either would be plenty for the type of gaming you've described, and MUCH better than a GT530. The 5670 is unbeatable for the price. You don't need anything more expensive for Steam games (besides, cards above a 6670 would require a power supply upgrade). Just replace your original Radeon HD 6450 card, which could probably sell for $35 or so.

The GT 440 is just a GT 240 updated with DX11 support, it's not any faster. And the GT530 is slower than all cards on that chart.

Finally- if you're planning to do lots of movie editing, a 2nd hard drive is useful. Transcoding video goes faster when the source and destination folders are on separate physical drives.

Which laptop should I buy? I had the new Mac Book Pro 2017 in my mind but everyone keeps telling me it's not worth the money. Also, I need it for Partial gaming, music making and video editing.

You’re thinking about the new macbook pro 15 that can do gaming, so we’re looking at $2800 budget to get the radeon pro 560. Which is an insane amount of money for a notebook. And yes, most people said that apple has bad value for money. I liked both windows OS and mac OS. So the question is, what windows machine we could get for half of the new 15″ macbook pro?MBP has I7-7820HQ which slightly faster than I7-7700HQ, and Radeon 560 pro has similar performance with GTX960m, so for better gaming experience we’re looking for 7700hq with gtx 1050ti/1060 card and here’s what i found:$1269 ROG Strix GL502VM 15.6" G-SYNC VR Ready Thin and Light Gaming Laptop NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB Intel Core i7-7700HQ 16GB DDR4 128GB$1399 Alienware AAW17R4-7002SLV-PUS 17" Laptop (7th Generation Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Silver) with NVIDIA GTX 1060and many more you can see here yourselfHow does radeon pro 560 compared to 1060 mobile? I can’t find any comparison yet. But on theoretically 1060 is 2.5x fasterSo, do the macbook pro worth the money? For gaming, a BIG NOFor working with apps that’s only available on mac os, maybe YESGood luck

I’m going to a college in Russia. I need a laptop for college. Should I buy it where I live or should I wait and buy it in Russia (I live in Central America)?

A2A. I do not know how prices in Central America compare to those in Russia. I do know how they compare to USA, though. Good electronics are more expensive in Russia. I buy all my electronics in US. I use expensive stuff, though (Apple, mostly). A cheap laptop will be cheap, no matter where you buy it, if you are happy with a low-powered lower-quality laptop — it does not matter where you buy. I do know that brands like Apple and Dell are at least 20% more expensive in Russia than in US.The OS version argument is not an argument, really — every OS, Windows or MacOS, is multilingual by definition, out of the box. You don’t need to get a special version or anything — you just change your system locale in settings, and you have whatever language you want. Some programs may require a language pack — that can be downloaded and installed in five clicks and about an hour, and language packs are free. Apple (and Dell) warranty is worldwide, no matter where you buy it will be honored in Russia. Personally, I don’t even have Cyrillic alphabet on my keyboard — I installed a YaWerty keyboard driver that puts Russian letters under their Latin counterparts, so when I need a Russian “М” I just hit the English “M” key, etc. I type quite fast on the English keyboard but I really suck at using the normal Russian layout.I suggest finding a specific laptop you want to buy in Central America, and then checking the price for the same machine on a Russian resource, like Яндекс , to compare prices.
