I Have A Never Ending Pain In My Left Side. It Is Worse When I Wake Up Or Bend Over. This Has Going

Very painful pinching pain in lower back on left side just above buttocks..HELP!!!!?

Having had my share of back problems, I fell out of a care when I was three and hit by one when I was seven, I know how bad they can be and how little others seem to know about them at that point. I was going to the chiriopractor 2 times minimum a month for treatment. That all stopped last Dec. when I used the muscle relaxing techniques I found. They release the muscles where the pain comes from because they are being pinched. Once the muscles were released the pain was gone and no need for the chiropractor anymore. Here are the two exercises I used for my back. The one for your lower back you can do all the way to the tip of the tailbone and find relief. Also is included one for your lower leg muscle and tendon which must be what is giving you trouble there. Here they are:
Back:
Place your left hand on your left knee. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and with your fingertips find the muscle next to your spine. Press on it and hold. Relax, take a deep breath and exhale and don’t tense up any part of your body. After about 30 seconds there should be a release happening and when it does slowly lower yourself forward onto your right leg or even over it if you can, the more over the better it is. Continue holding for a total of one minute. Then release but rest your body there for one minute longer. Then reverse and do the right side.
For lower back, on the buttocks:
Put both hands behind your back and place them on the muscles alongside your spine and press on them and hold. Now relax, take a deep breath and exhale and don’t tense up any part of your body. When the release starts to happen, slowly lower yourself forward as far as you can go. Then release the pressure but hold your body there for one minute longer.
foot:
With that foot in your lap, take both your hands and place them on the back of the tendon about one inch apart at ankle level. Press the tendon hard between your fingers and thumbs and hold that pressure there. Relax, take a deep breath and exhale and don’t tense up any part of your body. After 30 seconds slowly raise the front of your foot as far as it will go. Then remove the pressure but hold your foot there for one minute longer.

Throbbing headaches when holding breath, bending over, standing up etc?

My head hurts really bad with a pulsating ache when i do things like standing up, bending over to get something, holding breath, breathing too deeply, stretching. I have had high blood pressure in the past but this isn't like i've experienced with that. It feels tense around my neck and lower head but the pain feels like the blood is rushing through the whole brain. And i was recently sick like slight cold (just slight). Help?

A water like clear fluid runs down my nose when I bend down. Even sometimes when I sit idle, it happens mostly from my right nose. My right eye also gets wet, sometimes it hurts. I feel a disturbance on the right side of my head. What should I do?

I am a neurosurgeon  and what you are describing could be a case of spontaneous CSF rhinorrhea. CSF means cerebrospinal fluid and it's the fluid which is giving nutrition and cushioning effect to your brain. And rhinorrhea means leaking from nose. This leaking usually is more on sneezing coughing or bending forwards....and there is a salty taste to it. This usually starts when there is some bony defect within the nose which let's the sterile CSF out through the nose.The feeling of dizziness and black outs can also be explained because if this as it can cause intracranial hypotension ( sorry for using medical terms). Intracranial hypotension occurs when the Cushioning effect of CSF is lost momentarily and the pressure the head decreases causing dizziness.You should get yourself evaluated by a neurosurgeon. As this leaking is not a normal thing and this increases the chance of infection spreading into the sterile csf and which has its own consequences ( details your doctor can provide).First he will ask you to collect that fluid in a sterile container and do some tests to make are that it's CSF and nothing else.And after that depending on the results, further imaging to find the cause will be done.This should not be taken lightly and visit your doctor as early as possible.Dont get scared or alarmed.All these are treatable conditions.As far as the question of memory impairment is concerned. There is no way this CSF leak can cause memory loss. There are no neurons lost ( it's absolutely absurd) and the memory region of the brain is in entirely different location.You can get your memory also evaluated by your neurosurgeon ( but I am pretty sure it's not needed).To repeat again....don't take this condition lightly.If you have1) Watery discharge coming thru nose with sneezing coughing bending forward etc2) If that fluid is salty to taste 3) If you are having some fever along with the leak4) If you have a history of injury to nose , head or were involved in some accident many years ago.If you have these symptoms.Go visit your doctor. it's essential.

Why can't I get over the box of my pointe shoe without bending my leg?

So, lately I've been having problems getting over the box of my pointe shoe when we do things like piqué turns across the floor. If I keep my leg straight, I can't get over the box, but I know you're not supposed to bend your leg.

The weird thing is, it's only my right leg. Normally I would assume that the vamp of the shoe was too high, or the shank was too hard, or maybe something about my technique wasn't right. But it's not both sides. I can get up onto my left shoe, keeping my leg straight, without a problem. It's just my right leg.

And it's not just the shoe, because this has been a problem with almost all of the pointe shoes I've worn. Anyone know what's going on, or even better, what to do about it?

Why does my head hurt after standing up?

I agree with Jennifer I think you have orthostatic hypotension. Jennifer explained it rather well but she implies that you simply need to be better controlled standing up more slowly. Unfortunately it could be two other conditions that require some serious attention.You may be dehydrated. In a young person who is very active that can occur over the course of a couple of days of significant activity especially if your in a hot climate. You should be drinking at least 2 liters daily. The hypotension can make you dizzy and weak especially when you first get up. As Jennifer pointed out your Arteries will equilibrate in a few seconds after you stand, but initially you will feel weak and dizzy and in some cases your head could hurt too.The second potential is that certain medications can cause this orthostatic hypotension to occur. I had several patients who were using tricyclate antidepressants such as pamalor who had a normal pulse rate and blood pressure laying down. But on standing their pulse rate doubled while their blood pressure dropped.Try laying down for 3 minutes then take your pulse rate for a minute. Then stand and keep standing for 3 minutes. Retake your pulse rate for another minute. Laying down it should be 60–100. If higher than 100 to 120 you need to consider fluids. Greater than 120 you need a doctor's assessment.While standing if the pulse rate increases after waiting 3 minutes to equalize,and it goes to less than 20 beats higher then while laying down you have some orthostatic hypertension. While if the pulse rate is greater than 20 bpm you need to be checked or at least rehydrated.

Random bursts of sharp lower back pain in what feels like base of spine, cause?

Well I can help you with your lower back problems since I have been dealing with back problems for 4 years and I'm 26 y/o male. Is your sharp pain strictly in your back? Does it go down in to you buttocks region or part of your legs? If you have pain that goes in to your legs, its a bulge disc or herniated disc. The difference is the bulge disc has yet to collapse the fluid from the spine, so the herniated disc is the worse because it can strictly compress on the nerve in that region which will cause sharp nerve pain down certain part of your leg. Like me for instance, I have L4-L5, L5-S1 disc herniation, where my pain goes down the outside of my legs, and its very excruiciating. But if you do not have any pain going down your legs, then its only muscles, but you need to take it easy, because if you don't you are putting more pressure on your discs, and it will lead to bulging disc or herniated disc. You don't want that, because you will live with that for the rest of your life. I had L5-S1 discectomy, and it did not help at all. Now my neuro surgeon wanted to fuse the L4-L5, and L5-S1 disc with 6 metal screws, and two metal rods but I did not do the surgery due to it was a 50/50 chance it can get worse. So I live with my back pain, and it's hard because you make the vicodins, the percocets, prednizone meds habit. Those meds can ruin your liver but are the only meds that really help the back. You can try neurontin, but for me I am allergic to it. Best result to see if you have an herniated disc is an MRI, or a discogram. And if you have a discrogram done, be prepared for the longest 40 minutes excruicating pain of your life. They have to inject really big needles into your disc, and they can only numb your skin, and cannot give you any kind of pain meds or sedative during it so they know exactly where you are hurting in the disc space. But once they are done, they will dope you up pretty well, but during the procedure, it was the worse pain ever. So if your back does not get better, and you get leg pain, you need to see your PCP immediately to get an MRI done. Good luck with that, I hope you didn't do what I did, because if so, it's with you forever unless they come out with some good treatment for it in the future.

Can your back injury get worse over time?

I had a back injury back in 2006 while on active duty. I had 2 herniated disc L4/L5 and L5/S1 and they caused sciatica and degenerative disc disease. I got out of the army for this. I had a MRI done back in late 2008 showing that I was forming lumbar scoliosis and that discs that never shower up before on out of place. I still get numbness going down the back of my left leg from sitting down too long. I can't bend backwards or forwards like I used to. My pain has increased and I've never had any treatment for my back injury other than steroid injections. What is going on with my back and has it gotten worse since the original injury?
