Living in Ontario, Canada: Why is living in Brampton so looked down on while everyone wants to live in Oakville/ Mississauga?
The honest truth.I personally do not and will not look down upon people who live in Brampton.Other than living in downtown Toronto for the first year of my life, I have grown up in Mississauga and I know plenty of people from here and Oakville, many of them are white collar workers.These are some of the things I have heard some people who sadly look down upon “Brampton people” say:They think that Brampton is ghettoThey think that there is no multiculturalism, just a bunch of brown and black people (I know some people of South Asian descent even say this and they wouldn't want to move over there because they think there are too many brown people already there and they want to live in a multi-ethnic neighbourhood)They think that due to the city's high volume of South Asian residents that Brampton is really conservativeThey know there are really nice houses in Brampton but they think that the property won't increase in value unlike Mississauga or Oakville where we see some shit houses go for two million easilyBrampton is not fully developed, it's still in developing mode. It is just comprised of houses, malls and factories. Downtown Brampton is tiny.There are not many things young people can do for fun in Brampton.* This is not what I think personally. These are all the things I’ve heard about Brampton.
Could this be something else?
Well its a lil embarrassing but I went and got checked out at a walk in clinic for some red itchy bumps that have been on my feet for about a week. They itch really bad and I know this isn't althelets foot since the sores don't peel. The Dr. at the clinic didn't listen to all of my symptoms before she said you have scabies and gave me a perscription for some cream. Well I was quite embarrassed and came home to look on the internet about scabies since I had no idea what they are. Everything I've read about them sounds nothing like what I have. No one else in my family has anything wrong with their feet or anywhere else. The bumps are only on my feet and the internet said scabies can spread anywhere. Also I thought scabies came from being dirty. I shower everyday and my house is clean? I don't know how i would have gotten them, should I get a second opioin? Any ideas what I could have? I'm going crazy!?!?
What are the disadvantage of letting pets sleep besides you?
I am up right now, it is 12:14 AM. Why am I up? Well it isn’t because I went out Thursday night to trip the night fantastic and just got home if that is what you are thinking? I retired for bed at 9 PM and could be, should be, would be still asleep.It’s just this cat, this frustrating, selfish, bed hogging, pillow stealing cat. He wedges himself in between my husbands and my pillows every night. With his head on my pillow and his body under the blankets just like a human. Then we all fall asleep. Usually by 11PM he has somehow pushed me to the very edge of the bed and pretty much stolen my pillow which at that point I pick the little fluff bum up and place him on the floor and I fall back to sleep.This is exactly how it plays out tonight, around 11 when I go to grab him and pull him toward me to put him on the floor he lets out this adorably loud purr thinking I am pulling him toward me to cuddle. With outstretched front limbs, he paws my face, and pulls in, love nips my nose, affectionately purring all the way. I didn’t have the heart to put him down on the floor completely sucked into his adorable kitty spell.I cuddled him told him that “Him is his Mama’s baby” he let out more love purring, pushing his forehead into mine and he falls back to sleep. Only by now I am wide awake. I find myself avoiding finding a more comfortable position because I don’t want to disturb the blasted cat. I might mention too I played sucker a bit easier tonight because he has a ear infection and he has been in pain. Finally I start to fad back off and Butch (the cat) suddenly jumps up and peels out of the bed all four paws smashing me in the face on the way out. I about had a heart attack. Now of course I am awake.I look over at him and he is sleeping on my husbands desk chair cuddled up in his blanket I crocheted last year and just draped over him. The disadvantages to sleeping with pets? Sleep deprivation.
