I Have A Science Test Next Mon. And I Dont Know Most Of The Things Thats Going To Be It What

Why do tornado warnings/watches and monthly siren tests scare me?

I know what you mean. Im the same way. When i was about 6 or 7, maybe 8.. I was at my grandma's house and there was a tornado. I was crying in my grandma's arms and ive been in some experiences where ive almost been in other tornadoes. They arnt common here either. I live in Pennsylvania. Ive been getting better with it lately. But i used to be at the point where even a thunder storm made me scared because i knew it could lead to a tornado.

The best advice that i think you can get,
is to just find something that will relate tornadoes and storms, to something that you like.
Maybe a song that says tornadoes in it, as a metaphor?
lolol. sounds silly but its true. if you just find something that relates to them, that you also like, it would probably help your fear.
And with the tv tests, i used to be the same.
This is a really hard thing to overcome, and a very hard thing to give advice on.
I think that part you just have to overcome, over time. :/
But just try to not think about them or have them on your mind, and really try to relate them to other things that you like, it will help

How can I come to know that Computer Science is the best field for me?

I am assuming we are referring to computer science and engineering (graduate level) here.Engineering is not yet another extension of school that you join first and then figure out. It will prove to be a ‘costly’ mistake for many. You intend to earn some livelihood using your skills for at least a few decades after graduation. And you also want to make sure you enjoy your work. Right? Then please spend a few months doing some ground work before you sign up for a particular engineering stream.I will talk about Computer science here. It is unique in a sense. Here is how you can do the ground work.1, Get a laptop (smartphones are too congested to work) and Internet connectivity and start exploring.2. Start programming. Refer any online tutorial. Let’s say you picked Java. Write simple programs for a month. Understand the various constructs available in the programming language.3. Grab any data structures and algorithms book with implementations in Java (you may find some decent and free ebooks, if you search). Watch plenty of YouTube videos to understand. Continue to code DS & A. Spend a month on this.4. Gather the courage to build a small app. How about tic-tac-toe?5. Will you be able to sacrifice the next IPL/football match/new year celebrations in order to finish the above implementation or fix some annoying bug? That shows your passion and level of commitment. It is an indicator of how far you will go in this field. Be prepared to miss some events in your early life of CS if you are serious about a career in it.Computer science is not for everyone. It requiresstaring at the screen for long hours daily.sitting for long hours daily.applying Math, DS & A and good coding/design practices.learning new things and/or applying your learning almost daily.debugging hard issues without much help.doing proof of concepts, turning them into real products, testing, documenting and maintaining and moving to new proof of concepts. You see the cycle?working under tight deadlines (now, you can forget IPL) under a not-so-nice boss/client/culture.Do you think you can do it and will enjoy it most of all?

I am having a physics exam tomorrow and I haven't studied yet. What to do?

I can understand that you’re worried. The first thing that you have to do is calm down. I had the same worry back when I was in my 12th grade. I had to study for a chemistry test and I hadn’t prepared. I just had the night to study. I was scared of failing. I hadn’t failed before but it seemed like I would. There was no way for me or so I thought. It took me an hour to realise something. I had an entire night! This was around 7 PM and I think the test was at 9 AM. So I had around 9 hours. If I spent 1 hours per chapter (I had eight) and spent five hours sleeping I could manage to scrape by. Then I decided to make a call. I called a friend and spoke for ten minutes. I had to distract myself a bit and calm down. I was fretting but speaking to someone and letting out my worries helped (I wouldn’t suggest talking to a classmate or you’ll just end up getting even more worried). Eventually I decided that it’s more effective to focus on the chapters I felt confident in and just skim through the others. In the end I did pass but not with flying colours. So,Stop worrying about the marksTake a deep breath, it isn’t the end of the world (even though it might seem so)Plan and allocate the time you have for each chapter (take the ones you find easy first and then tackle the harder ones)Sleep well for at least 7 hours (no amount of studying will be fruitful if you don’t sleep)Some chapters are more of theory and rote learning. If you’re good at that stuff then take those out first then try the others. You shouldn’t feel frustrated. If you are more mathematically inclined then do the sums first.Talk to someone who you feel relaxed aroundGo write the paper with a smile.Don’t worry about the results if they aren’t great but always know you gave it your best.

How hard is it to raise your ACT score 3 points?

I just got back my score and I got a 28 Composite (English 30, Math 26, Reading 30, Writing/English 26). This was my first time and I thought I did really good. I studied a lot for it maybe 2 or 3 months worth however I am a junior and I am only in Algebra II so I haven't had much experience with upper level math. I thought I did a lot worse on the science section because I had to guess on mostly all of them. Do you think if I studied more and took the ACT in a few more months after more experience I could get a 31 ACT? What are your opinions and advise? Thanks!

BFP???? Does Early-Pregnancy-Tests.com strips have evap lines? Is this finally it for me!!!!!?

i took several early childhood education classes and have had 2 babies myself. i just felt preg so i tested about 5-7 days before i would every start so my line was very very thin but still there. These tests are designed to detect a hormone that is only present during pregnancy. There isn't a false possitive. if it is even very light the test is detecting something there. You can have many false negatives because there may not be enough of the hormone to make the test show yet. The cool thing is that you dont have to wait until morning. I suggest going to kmart or somewhere they would have a store brand. Get one that is an early response they seem to be more sensitive). Buy the cheap store brand it works just as well. Don't pee for about 3-4 hours if you can hold it. Then take that test. Make sure you follow all the directions to the T. Good luck to you and your husband. it is a beautiful experience. god bless

Asking for roommate bondage tie up ?

If you want to appraoch this with her, then the most important thing is to be honest about your intentions and your needs. Being honest with your partner is vital in any kind of BDSM relationship, mainly for your own safety.

If you get along well, then you could bring the subject up and see how she feels about it. If she's not interested though then don't put pressure on her - that's where it could start to seem perverted. There will be other women out there who'll be more than happy to explore this with you.

If you do decide to try it, then have a look online for the safety advice you both need to know. And enjoy ;)

How to study for SAT Subject Tests?

If you are not planning to go into Engineering, you should switch one of the subject tests to history. That way, you will look more well-rounded (as in, you can do more than just science and math--you are also good at humanities).

But if you want to do Engineering, Math 2, Chemistry, and Physics might be the way to go. Of course, you'll have to score about 700 in Physics to look good (as in 50 points above average). If you want to just do a science major, then take math 2, the one science you want to major in, and another of your choice (in history or whatever).

For Math 1 and 2, the Princeton Review Book is a good book (although I scored a lot lower on the PR practice tests than I did on the real thing--practice tests questions are too hard). I didn't take any of the others you listed above, so I don't know what to suggest.

I have taken the US History (700), Math 1 (730), and Latin (760) tests if you want to know more about them. US History is pretty easy if you have had AP US History--I did well without studying much even though my teacher didn't cover the material past the Civil War well.

If I am struggling in my introduction to programming class, am I not fit for a computer science degree? I never programmed up until 6 months ago with CodeAcademy, and I never really programmed much then. I am discouraged by people doing better.

I was you.I started programming at 18, as a Freshman in college. All of my peers had been programming since highschool or before.I almost dropped out of CS 101. Every lab assignment was like shoving bamboo under my fingernails, and I didn't understand anything. I spent so much time with the TA's that they stopped helping me.I didn't get "methods", and I had no idea what an "object" was. My version of debugging was running the program over and over and praying the output would change. We had one assignment to write a function testing a graph for cycles. I noticed that any graph with a cycle would cause a StackOverflowException in Java. So I caught that, and called it good.I just didn't get it.But the key was that I kept going. I had always liked computers, and I thought the ability to make them do what you wanted was damn cool. Plus I didn't know what else I would do if I quit.Just Let Go and forgive yourself for not getting the results you want right now.Do you like computers? Have you ever seen a computer program that makes you "ooh" and "ahh"?If your answer to either is yes, then you're in the right place.Programming is hard to pick up, but easier once you get over the hump.Accept that you're going to feel like an idiot for awhile, but realize that feeling like an idiot isn't the same as being one.Don't be envious of people who "get it" easier than you. Accept your suckiness and use it as fuel to outwork them. Focus on giving more to this challenge. As for me, I didn't drop out of my intro class. It took everything I had, but I passed. I worked summers at startups, and I spent my free time programming for one of the research labs on campus. In 3.5 years, I leapfrogged most of my peers, and I went to work for Google. My CS 101 professor took a job there as well.I pinged him a few months after graduation and asked: "Do you remember me?"Good luck.
