I Have A Soft Lump On My Left Leg

Soft lump on outside of vagina?

For a couple years or so I've had this soft lump on the left side of my vagina right between my legs on the outside. It is extremely soft and mushy. Its not painful at all. Its about the size of a marble. I am now noticing another one near the top of my vagina. My gyno had seen it and never said a word to me about it. I am pregnant so I've been checked often. Any experience or idea as to what this could be? Thank you! :)

Painless lump on lower leg?

A painless lump that seems to be growing should never be ignored . . ever. It is a classic sign of a type of cancer called sarcoma and could be related to a bone tumor or a soft tissue cancer. No one knows from your description what this might be . . it needs to be clinically examined and if possible a biopsy done. However, a sarcoma is one of the more common types of cancer to hit young adults. You have an unidentified lump that seems to be growing and you are at the right age for this type of cancer.

I am extremely concerned by some of the answers you have received. Most mean well, but I cannot over emphasize the danger you may be in . . a sarcoma is a rare cancer that a majority of general doctors including regular oncologist routinely misdiagnos. No one, you see, expects a healthy 23 year old female to have cancer . . so it is not investigated thoroughly . . and often can sit for a year or two just growing. No one can tell what a lump is, not even a doctor, just by looking . . you need a biospy and if possible, complete removal as this lump can actually at some point turn cancerous.

I know you are in a bind right now, but if at all possible go to the local hospital for a check up. Also, call home and try to arrange to be seen by a sarcoma specialist . . they are the only type of doctor who will be able to tell one way or the other if this is serious or not.

I am sorry if this scares you . . but I have good reasons . . we paid little attention to the our 17 year old son who just casually mentioned one day that he had a lump in his belly. A month later we discovered that he had stage IV abdominal sarcoma . . he was filled with tumors. Prior to that he was perfectly normal, working weekends, playing high school sports, and going to school. There was no warning and . . yeah . .he was misdiagnosed.

Please see a doctor as soon as possible or at least make an appointment to see a sarcoma specialist in three weeks.

Good luck.

Bump in leg when flexed

Hi. Whenever I flex my left leg a small one half inch soft bump appears a couple inches above my ankle bone. It doesn't show when my leg is not flexed and causes no pain or discomfort or any wierd colours. When I am not flexing my leg
you can feel a slight groove that goes inward where it would normally be a bump when flexed. The bump is soft and doesnt move around. Any help is appreciated.

Soft lump on both lower legs :)?

These lumps have been there for as long as I can remember. They're hard to explain, but it's like, when I stand or put pressure on my legs, or hold my legs out straight while sitting, these visible bumps show up on both lower legs. On my right leg, the bump is to the right of my shin bone, and on the left leg, the bump is to the left of the shin bone, in the exact same position. When I press it, it feels TOTALLY soft, not hard at all, and it doesn't hurt. It just bothers me a bit. Does anyone know what these two bumps are?

Oh, I'm a sixteen year old girl, and I don't play any sports, but I am decently active most days. XD
Thanks!

Soft lump next to my dogs armpit. What is it?

I have a 7 year old female black lab, her name is Godiva. Slightly over weight but only a few pounds.
She has a small soft or squishy lump distal to her front left leg. By the armpit area. It's a bit smaller then a golf ball.
She just was shaved less then a week ago to help reduce hair in the house. I know I should go see a vet just to be sure but I'm curious if its something to be concerned with. Thank you and I appreciate a response.

Lump on thigh?

You should have this checked immediately especially if you have noticed any recent growth. Sarcoma is an unrecognized and rare cancer that can affect bone or the soft tissue. It can be slow growing, or fast and aggressive. It is nothing to fool around with. The only way to tell for certain if an unusual lump or bump is cancerous is by a biopsy. I would not hesitate as sarcoma can grow very large and metastasize.

With sarcoma it is not unusual to be totally asymptomatic which is why it is often not diagnosed until the late stages. People feel fine and are not alarmed when finding a lump or bump . . but they should be.

What is this painless, soft lump on my shin that only appears when pressure is applied and have been there for around two years? Lately, it has been pulsating but still no pain.

Who knows, it might be a ganglion, but that doesn’t fit with only appearing when pressure is applied (what???) or maybe it is a lipoma (fatty tumour usually left alone unless it starts interfering with movement or causes irritation)That’s why you should ask a Doctor - hopefully this is nothing urgent……

My pet rat has a lump on its hind leg what is it?!?

Female rats are very prone to tumors so it is very likely to be a tumor. Tumors on rats are almost always benign (for a rat lump to be cancer is extremely rare, so I wouldn't worry about it being cancer). The tumors start out small but keep growing. If you leave it there, and it is a tumor, it will eventually grow EXTREMELY large.

She needs to go to the vet. Find names of vets in your area and call around and ask if any of them have experience with rats. Ask questions like: Have you seen many rats? Have you done surgery on rats? How long do the surgeries take on average? Have the surgeries been successful?

Surgery on rats should be quick (20 to 45 min, as it's dangerous to keep rats under for longer than that). The smaller the tumor the faster the surgery and the easier the recovery. A good vet with experience on rats should charge between $100 - $300 for the removal of a small tumor. If you are having money issues ask about a payment plan. Some vets will let you set up a $50/month payment plan. Larger tumors are more difficult and can cost more and may have more complications. This is why its best to act quickly and remove it when it's still small.

The other possibility is it could be an abscess. Did your rat have a small cut on her leg? Sometimes a small cut can get infected and turn into a round lump filled with pus. In that case it would only need to be drained and treated with some kind of ointment or antibiotic.

What is this weird small, soft, slightly darker, and painless lump under my knee?

I suggest mentioning this issue to your primary care doctor the next time you see them, as there are several potential causes of this bump. Your doctor will be able to examine your knee closely and help you decide if further work up is needed. First, this could be a sign of arthritis in the knee. "Wear and tear" arthritis --also known as osteoarthritis -- begins to be a quite common problem in middle aged and older adults, could be a cyst associated with the tendons or bursa (fluid-filled shock absorbing structures) around the knee!

My husband has a soft tissue growth on his upper left buttock. No pain, not swollen or hard. Any idea what it might be?

It is most probably a Lipoma -a benign accumulation of fat.The doctor has to physically examine the swelling and he may advise an ultrasound of the swelling.Does the swelling move easily? If so,it's mostly a Lipoma. The doctor would then assess the size and usually leave it alone. It grows very slowly . But then, some lipomas (very rare) start giving some pain and may become cosmetically bothersome. That is when surgical excision is advised.
