I Have A Tax Return Transcript But I Need A Tax Transcript.

Is a tax return summary the same as a transcript?

No its not the same. you need to order your transcript asap if you don't want to wait you can have the IRS to fax it but you have to be waiting at the fax machine to get it that way. this might help you for next time you fill out FASA use the IRS data tool it will pull all your info over and you wont have to show a transcript. hope this helps Good luck

How do I get my tax return transcript from turbo tax?

You will NOT be able to get any transcript from Turbo Tax at All but maybe you could still get a copy of your 1040 income tax return when you go back to the site where you did get your 1040 income tax completed during the 2013 tax filing season for the 2011 income tax return.
And you should already have a copy of your 1040 income tax return that you should made a copy of or the tax preparer should have given you a copy when you signed the other copy to be sent to the correct IRS address when the 1040 was sent to the IRS for processing at that time in your life.
A transcript will have to come from the IRS at this time in your life for this purpose.
The quickest way would be to go to your local IRS TAC in your area and very nicely present yourself and ask someone at the office if they would have to the time to assist you with getting the transcript for you while you are at the IRS office and they just might be able to get it faxed to then while you are there waiting BUT just make sure that you have all of the proper identification that they will want to see such as your social security card and picture ID drivers license, etc for this purpose and just plan on having some patience and see what will happen.

How do I get the IRS to fax a copy of my tax return transcript?

Although I completed my FAFSA in June, nearly two months early, I'm only now finding out that the college didn't receive it. They have now asked for a mountain of paperwork, including my parents' 2011 tax return transcript. They gave me a paper explaining how to request the transcript online and by (1-800-908-9946). I ordered a copy yesterday online, but I later talked to a friend who said she was able to get her copy faxed to her by calling the phone number. I called the number above and it's an automated system, and no matter what I do I cannot reach a representative. So I've looked online and found another number (1-800-829-1040) but still no luck. I'm aware that I have to be in the physical location of the fax machine, and I have all the information I need. I'm just lost as to how I get a live person on the line. I'm also curious as to whether or not the fact that I requested the transcript online will interfere with having it faxed to me. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I Can't Order My Tax Return Transcript. Help!?

I am trying to order my tax return transcript for 2012 online and it's not letting me. It says that the address I am entering does not match their records. I checked my tax return to make sure the address is correct on there and it is. I have been living in the same place for over 3 years. Help.

I live in an apartment complex so I don't know if that will make a difference. I tried almost every way possible to enter my right address.

What can I do if I am unable to provide a tax return transcript for fafsa and the colleges I'm applying to?

Due to the changes to the FAFSA verification process for 2017–18, some schools are now requiring tax transcripts (or proof of non-filing status) for all students and parents (unless they use the IRS Data Retrieval tool). Every school that participates in the federal financial aid programs must do this for students in some of the verification categories. If you did not file a tax return in 2015, you will not be able to use the IRS Data Retrieval tool and you won’t be able to get tax transcripts. But you will be able to request proof of non-filing status from the IRS. See instructions on this page (scroll down): Transcript Types and Ways to Order Them

Will mortgage lender require the actual transcripts of my tax return from IRS before approving my loan?

That depends on what your financial situation is. If you are a wage-earner who receives a W-2, your lender shouldn’t require a transcript. If you are self-employed or have rental or dividend income, you’ll have to provide tax returns to document your income—and the lender will get a tax transcript. It’s not a big deal; we generally get them back within a day or two.Almost all loans today are initially underwritten by an Automated Underwriting System (AUS). Fannie Mae’s is called Desktop Underwriter, Freddie Mac’s is Loan Prospector. When your loan officer submits your loan application to either AUS, he or she will get a result of (hopefully) “Approve/Eligible” or “LP Accept.” This means that your loan has been approved as submitted, but the underwriter will have to review your loan package to be sure all the information in your loan file lines up with the information your loan officer submitted in the application. The AUS findings will also tell the lender what kind of documentation is required for approval. For a wage-earner, you’ll typically provide a current month’s pay stub and the previous year’s W-2. If you are self-employed, the AUS will ask for either one or two years’ federal tax returns. The transcripts can be an issue where a borrower’s situation requires tax returns and they have filed early. A self-employed borrower may have started her business in 2015, but had a really good 2016. She might file her return early so as to be able to use that year’s net income in qualifying. Or the borrower may be applying in April or May of 2017 and filed 2016 taxes right at the deadline. Because of the IRS workload and volume, it takes a bit longer to get the transcript.Hope this helps…and thanks for the A2A.
