I Have A Title How Do I Start With The Lyrics

What is the title and lyric of the song start with the first line: when you were born into this world?

Child
by Freddie Aguilar

When you were born into this world
Your mom and dad saw a dream fulfilled
Dream come true
The answer to their prayers

You were to them a special child
Gave ‘em joy every time you smiled
Each time you cried
They’re at your side to care

Child, you don’t know
You’ll never know how far they’d go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through and God it’s true
They’d die for you, if they must, to see you live

How many seasons came and went
So many years have now been spent
For time ran fast
And now at last you’re strong

Now what has gotten over you
You seem to hate your parents too
Do speak out your mind
Why do you find them wrong

Child you don’t know
You’ll never know how far they’d go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through and God it’s true
They’d die for you, if they must, to see you live

And now your path has gone astray
Child you ain’t sure what to do or say
You’re so alone
No friends are on your side

And child you now break down in tears
Let them drive away your fears
Where must you go
Their arms stay open wide

Child you don’t know
You’ll never know how far they’d go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through and God it’s true
They’d die for you, if they must, to see you live

Child you don’t know
You’ll never know how far they’d go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through and God it’s true
They’d die for you, if they must, to see you live

Do you make the song title or the lyrics first?

Both/Either/ Neither. I know a lot of famous and successful musicians. Here is what i mean.BOTH: “Hey man, I got this idea for this song and I have a lyric in my head and the song should be called…” This songwriter has the name and a lyric, and wants the band to help with musical composition and expanding upon the lyrics. Example: Robby Krieger writing “Light My Fire.”EITHER:Title: When Elvis did the movie Viva Las Vegas, he had to have a song called Viva Las Vegas.Lyrics: Jim Morrison was a poet. Several songs by The Doors were Jim’s poetry set to music. This is how The Doors began - Jim read his poem “Moonlight Drive” to Ray Manzerak and voila! The Doors inception.NEITHER:The New Riders of the Purple Sage songs are co - written by the singer, David Nelson, and Robert Hunter, who wrote all of the greatest Grateful Dead songs. Their songs start with neither lyrics or a title. David Nelson comes up with a great piece of guitar music, either spontaneously onstage, after the show, or in a dream. He records this music with no words or title. He then gives it to Robert Hunter, who writes the lyrics and creates the title. I don't know in which order, I have never asked him. Probably goes both ways. So, inspiration strikes us all in a variety of ways!

How can I find the title of these lyrics? I feel fire when I dream of you I feel fire in a dream of lust I feel fire when I'm inside you.

Google them.

I want to write song lyrics. I don't know how to start, and I need inspiration. What are some methods I could use to start songwriting?

I write lyrics.  They aren't great but they are getting better.  I also write blog posts which aren't great but are also improving.  Here are a few tips that I can give you.1.  Study the lyrics of lyricists that you admire.  There is no better way to learn how to write lyrics that reading the lyrics of those that you admire.  That goes for novels, short stories, and blog posts as well.  My current favourites are Bob Dylan, John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats, and Andy Hull.  Your favourites will probably vary, but it doesn't matter. 2.  When an idea comes to you, write it down.  I can be walking along and have an idea pop into my head and I either write it down or record it on my phone.  It can be an idea for a song, a line that pops into your head, or whatever.  The more ideas that you have down, the better.3.  Just write!  It doesn't matter if what you write totally sucks.  Much of it probably will.  Most of what I write sucks, but I keep doing it.  I was wrong when I said above that the best way to learn is to study the lyrics of those that you admire.  The best way to learn is to just do it.  Practice, practice, practice.  You'll get better.4.  Revise.  Never stop trying to make what you have written better.  Go back a day later, a week later, a month later, and see what you can improve. Change a line here, a word there, a verse here, a chorus there.  Keep revising, and keep improving what you have written.Just the thoughts of a mediocre but improving writer.

What is your songwriting process? Do you start with lyric, melody, progression, else?

I start writing songs in any one of five different ways.I hear a melody / lead vocal in my head and imagine the chords and beat. Then I go to my studio and to begin will find the right tempo and beat. Then add the appropriate chords with a sound that creates the right mood. This method often involves actually being excited because the thing I imagined was such a strong hook.I jam on the keyboard / piano and once I find a great arrangement with moody chords I start to experiment with top lines. Lyrics are not important at this stage. I often just scat it. The important thing is melody experimentation / syllable fit for rhythm.I hear a song on radio / TV that inspires me. I may then experiment with the chords I heard… switch that up a little then write my own top line in an original manner while keeping the mood / beat that inspired me. You cant copyright a mood!I start with a drum beat. I build a rhythm from scratch when I am in the mood for finding a new inspiring rhythm. I then would just add a bass line then experiment with a top line.I get inspired for a top line melody while listening to another musician jamming such as a piano player or guitarist. The musician then begins to feel me and naturally creates further progressions. We then write a song together. For me the mood, rhythm, arrangement , choice of sounds is the most important to start with. Then once I know I have all the parts I will finalise lyrics. I know by this stage the vocal structure and melody, I just need to translate that into words.I take the words very seriously. For me; a song is only exciting if it is saying something inspiring or relevent on an intellectual level. I have a pet hate of listening to songs that have completely pointless or cliche lyrics. I get especially annoyed when I hear artists actually being negative through a song and thus encouraging the darker side of humanity. Kids take inspiration from music. Title,Artist and lyrics..for this song..It starts from my toes...?

How would one start a website to copyright lyrics and prove ownership instead of registering with the copyright office?

Before you embark on this, you should identify the shortcomings of the existing system and define what it is about your system that would address those shortcomings. In the U.S., you don't have a website to copyright lyrics. The authors get their copyright in order their lyrics by fixing them in tangible form, which they typically do without a website. They can register their copyright with the U.S. Copyright Office, but they can't really do that via an unrelated website.

Can anyone help me with the title of a song if i have very limited lyrics?

There is a song either by marvin gaye or someone of the likes that may be titled I love you. The only lyrics I know are " i loooooove you, i neeeeeeed you" then he breaks it down with an " i i i i i i i i i i i i i i i i love you!" Also, at some point in the song he stops singing and starts talking about how lonely he is and how he "goes home at night and watches TV until the TV goes off" please help?

Why does Billy Joel have "Ole Miss" in lyrics of "We Didn't Start the Fire?"?

Ole Miss is a nickname for the University of Mississippi. 1962 was the year that James Meredith became the first black student there, but not without a great deal of strife. The university prevented him from entering until federal troops came to force him in over the vehement protests of the governor. The controversy led to riots in the area around campus.
