I Have All Of These Charges On My Credit Card. I Would Like To Put A Block On These.

Is it possible for porn companies to charge my boyfriend's credit card without him using the services??

It is quite common for companies like this to rip people off and keep billing them, despite the person's best efforts to cancel. He needs to keep at them, and inform the credit card company, but if the issue is whether you should believe him, that's up to your judgment, but it is quite possible, even for companies more above-board than porn companies.

I had a similar experience with AOL long ago, and I believe AOL ended up getting sued for its practice of making it hard to cancel.

What should I do if I lose my Bank of America credit card?

You should call Bank of America and cancel the card and have it reissued immediately.  The phone number to call depends on whether it is a credit card or debit/ATM card that you lost. Here are the current phone numbers:Lost or Stolen ATM or Check Card1.800.848.6090 (Domestic)1.315.724.4022 (International Collect)Lost or Stolen Credit Card 1.800.732.9194You can call those numbers 24/7 and you'll need to either know your card number or social security number.  The process is easier and takes less time if you have your card number.

Unauthorized charge on credit card, what is my liability as an Indian credit card holder?

Credit card chargeback is a threefold process. When you raised the dispute for the first time, your card issuing bank (citibank in your case) will get in touch with the merchant bank via payment provider ( mastercard/visa etc). This process is called first prisnment. The merchant will then provide the proof of purchase to your issuer bank.If you are still not satisfied with the outcome, you will have to raise a second dispute which is called the second prisnment. Here the merchant has to prove that the transaction is done by you. For online transactions this can be traced back to the ip of the PC used for completing the transaction. If you are still not satisfied with the outcome, you can request your card issuer to go for an arbitration. Most issuer banks prefer not to go that far as that is not good for their reputation and the huge cost involved in it. They prefer to write off that transaction. In a nutshell, I believe you need not to worry. I believe you will have to pay nothing.P.S : I faced a similar incident with my credit card. That was Citibank too and I paid nothing!

Random USPS.com charges on my credit card?

I just checked my credit card statement online and it says I made six purchases from usps.com ranging from $12.96 - $62.06 each. The only description it gives was the alleged date they were purchased (all on the same day) and "USPS.COM CLICK66100611 800-3447779 DC".

It's outside of both USPS and my bank's calling hours right now, so I'll have to wait until tmo to ask them about it, but has this happened to anyone else before? My card has NEVER been outside of my own possession, so Idk how these could have gotten on there. How am I supposed to prove that I didn't make these purchases?

Is it possible to block a merchant from making further charges to my credit card?

I recently had a bad experience with a merchant concerning some charges they made to my card. Though I have resolved the issue with them, I would feel more comfortable if I could arrange it so that they could no longer charge anything to my card in the future. Is it possible to arrange this with the credit card company?

How does a credit card company know the card holder authorized the charge?

What the other answer said is correct, but we can elaborate a little bit on this.Current credit cards have a chip, using EMV technology. That technology is unhackable to date and cards with chips cannot be cloned. However, chip-less cards do not have that benefit.Nonetheless, credit card issuers have algorithms in place that track your activity. They know where you like to shop, where you last shopped, where you make withdrawals and what countries and cities you visit often. When a cardholder deviates from standard behavior once, maybe nothing happens, but it gets recorded. If it happens again, they will put a temporary block on the card and wait to hear from the cardholder. An example: This morning at 10 am you paid for your gasoline at the gas station on your way to work, something you do three times a month. This afternoon, at 1 you buy clothes at a boutique 500 miles away… you will not buy those clothes with the card because they will want to know how moved 500 miles in under 3 hours. These systems are highly sophisticated and they exist to prevent card theft losses from becoming insurmountable. they have knowing what you do and where you do it down to an almost exact science.

Cancel credit card to cancel subscription?

Call them and explain to them that you no longer want the subscription!
Speak to a manager or someone superior. And tell them that they will no longer be able to charge your card because it has been stolen from you and your bank will replace it with a new acccount number . *Wink*
Good luck!
