I was at an open audition yesterday, which means anyone can come regardless of age/race/gender/etc and regardless of if they have acting experience.When I was there, I saw a girl who looked like she was in elementary school, maybe eight years old, and she was there with her mom, who wasn’t auditioning but helped her practice the script they gave her, and I’m sure she did great (I didn’t get to see her audition because I wasn’t in her scene). Besides, kid actors are hit or miss at that age. If they need a kid they have one.If it’s just a matter of “should I” then if you want to, sure!

You have to freekventy visit there you will come across some audition or will meet production manager of production houses. If you saw audio going on they will give you form to fill . after that they will give outline of charector and some dialogue to deliver with acting. If role of house maid you have to do acting Ditto to kamwali bai with her voice style then you are selected. There is tea stall opp Mourya building on lokhandwala- Jogeshwari link road ,Near Signal where you will find huge crowd in the evening. This is a meeting point of Production Manager and strugler. You can try Luck there too.Most of the production houses also has offices like U TV, Abbas Mastan etc. You can meet there production Chief.Last but least some Production pimp will ask for physical favour don't fool your self . Judges want to see your natural beauty.Look at the judges while singing or camera(if there is a camera)Smile a little bit while singing (try to. If you can’t, it’s fine)Eat before audition. This way can make less your nervousness.Practice 2 English song and 1 Korean Song. They want to hear you sing at least 30s for each song. If you sing well, they want you sing more to show how well you are. Prepare 3 songs( 2 English, 1 Korean)Pray and always be calmPractise a little bit when you’re waiting. Some staff will pass by and check them. Staff will tell the judges about you if you give them good impression.Confident but not too much. Don’t show your nervousness.If you passed for the first audition, they will call you. School Auditions? Any help with this type of thing?!?!?
It really depends on the school. I would contact the drama teacher, and ask about when auditions are, what needs to be prepared, etc. He/She will probably hold a meeting a week or so before auditions to get you all the information you need, and let you know how auditions work for your particular school. They know there are going to be lots of freshman auditioning for the first time, and should give you all the info you need, and be able to answer all of your questions. If it's a play, you will most likely have to prepare a monologue, and/or do cold readings from the script. (meaning you don't have time to prepare the part you'll be reading). If it's a musical, you'll also have to sing a song, (again, either prepared or sight read, depending on your director), and possibly have a dance audition, where they'll teach you a dance, and you'll have to perform it for them. High schools do all types of plays and musicals, it really just depends on your school - I'm sure your drama teacher has that information, and if you email him/her, you can probably find out what play it is. It'll probably be something more contemporary than Romeo and Juliet, though. There is often times a kiss at the end, but it's really not a big deal. Awkward for the first time you run through it, maybe, but after that it's fine. (and can be fun, if you like the guy! haha) but honestly as a freshman with no previous experience, I doubt you'll beat out the upperclassmen for the lead roles, in which case they'll do any kissing that might be in the script, if that makes sense. Be prepared to accept any role you receive, no matter how small. You have to build up to getting the bigger parts, and the more practice you get, the better you'll become. Besides, even a small role is usually super fun :D Being a part of a play or musical is one of the best experiences you'll have in high school, and really gives you a chance to throw yourself out there and try something new. have fun, and break a leg! :)

I heard about the auditions on a radio show and signed up. they told me they would send me a conformation email and script to memorize but i haven't gotten it yet (after 24 hours). Has anyone who signed up for this gotten a "confirmation e-mail" with a script?
