What should I do if I have a very important question to ask but someone doesn't return my email?

Following up is the best idea where you can get answers to your questions. There are some tricks when you want to pull off a best email to get a positive response.Personalization- Sending personalized emails leave a psychological impact on the recipient which provokes the recipient to reply. Recipient may consider various things if an email is sent personal.Avoid nagging- constantly nagging about the same question makes you look like needy and that can get you in trouble. It becomes important to give space in this kind of situation.Persistency- We all know persistency is the key, Following up after perfect intervals can increase the chances of closing a deal faster. If you are a salesperson you can use tools like SalesHandy or yesware to set auto-follow-up emails to potential leads.Rechecking email- Always prepare a follow up email to check the recipient again. Your email could be unopened or couldn’t reach due to technical issues. Rechecking email might really plant a seed of considering your email again.Politeness- Never lose patience, always be polite if your emails are being ignored. Showing politeness keeps the chances of reply. Even if you are not getting reply, politeness helps to keep a positive image.Finding different ways to get responses is also advisable.

What is the single most important question you have asked in this life?

My answer will require some framework first. Failing romantic answers such as that given by both Peter Flom and Barry Hampe or existential ones such as several other posters. I cannot really answer this question adequately because it implies that my life can be distilled down to single pivots and that what I gauge as of import today will matter tomorrow. I can guarantee no such thing. There have been things that have faded in and out of importance over the years:Seemed highly significant at the time of occurrenceSeemed highly trivial in retrospect thereafter in the grander scheme.Unforeseen repercussions rendered them significant once more.Returned to triviality once those repercussions themselves seemed insignificant.  The point of this rambling is that time changes perspectives and importance is often a subjective assessment of the moment. Significance can be viewed in retrospect but even retrospection may be clouded and in further retrospect change yet again. We cannot live for the past or future and are stuck with the now. Hence, the most significant question is often the question of the moment but I am constantly reminded that such significance may not last. Which leads me back ultimately to existential questions because there is a question (or at least a theme) that undercuts most of these questions of the moment, and indeed most of these questions may be seen as variants on it. At times the question is trivial, at times existential, and at times such as when it prompts questions of the sort Peter Flom, Barry Hampe, Anonymous and a few others have asked, deeply meaningful. It is a question that has no one answer but the answer of the moment as well:"What do I want?"At times the question is coterminal with its variant:"What do I need?"and at other times the questions exist in tension. It is the question that drives the most trivial of desires and the most fundamental of changes and based on the fact that the answer is fluid is one for which I will never I think have an ultimate answer.
