I Have An Integrated Dishwasher In A Moben Kitchen. I Need Order Some Spare Parts But I Can

Sure, why not?First of all, before buying the dishwashers, we need to clear the basic concept of why do we require a dishwasher at our home. As per our culture, we are used to having a maid/house-help coming to do our utensils. We do that because it is cumbersome and labour-intensive for us, so we rather prefer some other human does that for us. But the above has its own disadvantages. When your maid cleans the utensils, he/she uses cold water (max 35 C) and uses a minimum of 2–3 buckets of water for a single wash. And as most ladies of the house would agree with me, the maids doesn’t always do the perfect job. Sometimes, there are food stains, grease or even soap left on your dishes, which we need to clean again. The utensils are also left for air-drying in a plastic basket, due to which there are water stains on your utensils, which needs to be cleaned with a cloth before using the utensils. Now, when you buy a dishwasher, you basically want more hygiene, cleanliness, and convenience over your maid. You need a buy a dishwasher which does that for you. The dishwasher brands available in India, require you to rinse your utensils with water once, before you load them in the dishwashers. But, thats again a double effort thing. You need to find a dishwasher that doesn’t require pre-rinsing of utensils, and the utensils can directly loaded from dining table to dishwasher. Plus, the dishwasher should have good jet-sprinkler system (3 sprinkles are recommended) for proper washing. Utensils placement also play an important role in your dishwasher experience.Very few niche brands, such as Miele, gives you the above features and convenience of not washing the utensils before dishwasher loading. Uptil now, pre-rinsing of utensils was required, so there is a pre-conceive notion in India that dishwasher is not that useful, as ladies used to find it “double-mehnat”. But now times are changing. With the advance of new technology, the dishwashing process has become easier and more hygienic.Research the brands available in and around your city, set a budget, study and compare the features of a selected model, ask for a live-demo, and then zero-in on a particular model.

I'm looking to buy a new kitchen and a few friends have mentioned MFI, Schreiber and Hygena as possibilities

Wouldn't touch any of them with a ten foot pole! MFI is the worst of th lot MFI stands for MUST FIX IT - which is about right - total crap!

The other two are only marginally better

Consider Ikea kitchens - I know - all the probs they have had with Watchdog and all that - that is all over hyped - the amount of complaints about Ikea kitchens is less that 0.00001 of total sales - in otehr words NOTHING!

The thing with Ikea kitchens is they are slighty larger height wise and offer more space at a lot less than those three above - the other thing is - if you decide to use Ikea - make sure you order all that you need - as everything is seperate - right down to the hinges! So make sure you have all you need!

The other thing to consider is that Ikea kitchens are made from stronger materials than most.

But, it is up to you at the end of the day -

Direct drive simply means that the motor shaft is "directly" connected to the washer / dryer drum instead of "indirectly" via. a belt.Pros:- They are usually quieter because there's no squeaking / skidding of the belt- They are marginally more energy efficient - because no energy is lost flexing the belt / with the belt slippingCons:- They are more expensive - partially because they are "shiny new" and partially because the direct drive motor is more complex and needs to be as flat as possible to fit a reasonable size drum in front of it within the standard front loader footprint- The drum will be shallower in depth - Because a motor needs to fit BEHIND it, instead of below it, within the same standard front loader footprint- They suffer more wear and tear of the drum bearing in the same number of washes - because the drum bearing now has to support both, the weight of the drum, and the weight of the direct drive motorMost of the rest of the "pros" in marketing material is just that - "marketing material"
