I dropped my iphone in water and now it won't turn off?

Hello. As I said, I dropped my iPhone 4s in water several hours ago, and since then, it's been in and out of a bag of rice. It's been working fine, except it randomly restarts itself, and if I try to turn it off, it just comes right back on. How long should I keep it in the rice, and would letting the battery run dead help with the power issue?

How do I get my iPhone speakers (internal) to work again after having water damage?

Yesterday around noon I had my iPhone 4S in my purse....along with a Gatorade. Well as it turns out the Gatorade lid was not on right , so it spilled all throughout my purse potentially reaching my phone. It was about a max of 3 minutes before I realized what had happened and I immediately took my phone out and dried it off. I put it in my pocket and then maybe 5-10 minutes later I got to my friends house and began emptying my bag out and drying everything off. As I was doing that, my friend asked to use my phone. I took it out and then I saw it, the LED flash was on. Having previously gotten an iPhone wet, I knew instantly that this was a signal for water damage. I immediately put it in a sealed container of rice. I didn't turn it off immediately and i was hesitant to touch any buttons since turning if on and off with my previous phone was what shot it). **keep in mind this phone is a replacement for my last damaged iPhone that I received from my insurance company; this meaning my current [wet] iPhone was once someone else's. that someone else broke it and sent it in to the insurance company then revived a replacement. The insurance company then refurbished this one and it was then sent to me** with that, I had very low hopes that the phone was going to work. About 27 hours later, I took it out of the rice and began charging it. It was working. I was utterly happy. It turned on and was glitching some. After several minutes, the glitching began to subside and the phone is now operating quite smoothly. The only downfall I didn't realize until an hour after I turned it on: the speakers don't work. Headphones work fine but when unplugged, the music continues playing as if they weren't which is opposite of what a normal iPhone should do. My phone won't ring or make any noise without headphones. My phone is my alarm. So I need this function. Anyone think they can help??

I kept my iphone in rice for 2 days after I dropped it in pool but when I tried opening it, it still didn't open. What should I do?

It's done.  Get a new phone. Here's the thing.  Water is not necessarily damaging to electronics.  It is, in fact, used in some manufacturing processes to clean assembled circuit boards.  However, this isn't remotely what happened to your iPhone. The idea behind the rice is for water absorption so that it doesn't cause electrical shorts.  This may have worked had the power source been removed within seconds of the dunking.  Oh, wait, the iPhone doesn't have a removable battery does it...So, the battery has had lots of time discharging over the subsequent minutes and hours through all sorts of new paths.  The likelihood is that every single electronic component in the phone is burnt out.  The certainty is that the magic smoke has been let out.By the way, if this happens again, with amenable electronics:Take the battery out.  Now!Disassemble what you can.  Get to a source of distilled water quickly.  Rinse and soak.  Brush with a soft tooth brush and dilute dish soap if it's really bad.  Do your best to remove all salts and other contaminants.  This will short circuit stuff if it is left behind.Rice is fine.  Real silica desiccant is better.I've used this process to rescue a radio transceiver that had fallen into a tidal pool.

Dropped my iphone in milk!?

At Apple's website, they show you where the water damage (or in this case milk damage) alert is on your phone. This is the page with the table showing you where to find it on Apple's website:

The way to fix water damage is this way:

Step 1) Do not press any buttons after the damage has been done. Attempting to press any buttons may shift the moisture inside the unit caused by the water damage, which can result in it pooling under the buttons. This will render the iPhone inoperable.

Step 2) Lay the iPhone on a flat surface under a bright light. This will moisture near the iPhone's surface to evaporate through the tiny cracks in the iPhone's shell. The amount of time you need to leave the iPhone under the light will vary depending on how wet it is. Light to moderate damage should only need one to two hours of light, but more severe water damage will need up to five hours.

Step 3) Get a medium-sized bowl and fill it with uncooked rice. Although it may sound a little strange, placing the iPhone LCD face down in a bowl of rice will help pull out the moisture.

Step 4) Leave the iPhone in this bowl for 2 to 3 days. Do not disturb the rice or try to replace it during this time.

Step 5) Pull the iPhone out of its rice bowl and immediately plug it in to a computer. If you see a "do not disconnect" symbol, then your iPhone has survived the water damage. If not, then you will need to replace it.

P.S. Do not trust DigiExpress to fix your iPhone! There have terrible reviews!

IPhone 5s water damage?

My phone flipped out my back jeans pocket into a toilet on a night out last night (2nd time this has happened) I literally picked it up less than 2 seconds later and it was fully submerged
I was drunk so I werent thinking smartly and I probably should of turned it off instead of messing with it and I wiped all the water off it and it seemed fine. I werent that worried because I've dropped it in a toilet before and in the bath 3 times and it worked perfectly fine afterwards but after 10 minutes the middle button stopped working and I turned it off and it was flickering grey and wouldnt come on a few times. It turned on and the touch wasnt working but started working again and today everything is working except the middle button when I press it, but the thumb sensor on the button is still working? Later on today grey lines started moving upwards from the bottom of my screen and just then a black spot has appeared from the bottom right of my screen?! I dont know what to do because I think its getting more damaged but its nearly 2 days since I dropped it in and I duno whats gona help. Also I dont have insurance and I know the warranty doesnt cover water damage so what should i do?!
