I Have Applied A Job In A Metro But They Dont Give Me Any Address They Will Only Providing My Dmrc

Can anyone give me any information about DMRC interview questions?

I was selected for interview in sept 2013 (as long as I remember). It was interview for the post of junior engineer. They did not ask me a lot about any electrical engineering ( which was my subject ) but instead they asked about which company of elevator does your building have? , where do you live?, why do you want to join DMRC   Especially when the eligibility for junior engineer is diploma and you have  a degree?? Aren't you overqualifed for the job? Etc. As I talk to my colleagues about their interviews, I have come to conclusion that the reason they call only 2-2.5 times of the candidates for interview as they purely judge you by your performance in written exam. But I must say you have to get prepared for a little current affairs and keep some knowledge about your sorroundings. One more thing, you have to let them believe that your are looking this job as final job and you are going to settle here and not think of switching to another job and will not prepare for any other job after this. Its because most of the candidates who gets selected leaves the job without informing after a year or two as they get selected to any other job. Its a big for DMRC. Its really not hard to crack the interview, the main challenge lies ahead after one or two year of joining. In one line, DMRC do not want intelligent so much as they want a person desperate to get a job and not think of anything else but DMRC.

How do I apply for a summer internship at Delhi metro?

It's good you got to know about that in 2nd year.I did my summer training from DMRC when I was in 3rd year(ECE) in 2015. So I can brief you all that which was the procedure then.Firstly, you'll have to submit your college id card along with the training letter that you've got from college at Metro Bhavan, barakhamba road,New Delhi.Ask anyone where's that when you de-board at Barakhamba Metro Station(it's hardly a walk of 5-7 mins). In acknowledgment to that, the guard present there will give you a contact slip. Then probably by 1st or 2nd week of May, call the number provided on the slip and they'll let you know if the list's out. If it is, then you'll have to go there and check yourself whether your name's on the list or not. You'll get to know this by visiting their office as they put up a list only and only there and not on their website (don't know why).P.S : If you know someone who works in any of the department in DMRC( which we call it an Approach/Source) then chance of getting your name on the list is extremely high.Good Luck

Does the Delhi metro card get deactivated if not used for long?

Of course you can use the card.Like others mentioned, the validity is "One Year from the date of purchase or one year from the date of recharge whichever is later. Renewal: No extra charge. Facility to check balance on Card: Ticket Reading Machines at all Metro Stations."Personally this has happened to me. Old cards with little or no recharge value resurface from time to time at home and you can use them. If they give problems you just need to ask the customer service people to fix it, which they do by resetting the card. There's no fine, paperwork or a long procedure involved.

What if I swipe my metro card at entry and exit points of the same station?

Well this happened with me 3 days back.I was at the New Delhi metro station and was looking for a way towards Airport Express (Its an interchange station for airport express). I saw a signboard with “Way to Airport Express” written over it pointing towards one of the exits. After I made my exit, i realized that it was the way to New Delhi Railway Station. So I had to go all the way back to security check and making a re entry. This time I got the correct path and reached the gates for AE. While exiting it showed a deduced amount of Rs. 20Well this was a special line so maybe because of that it was deduced. I don’t know about other stations.

What changes have occured in urban India over the last five years? Culture, lifestyle, values etc?

A person staying in the area won't be able to realize the changes as the changes would be gradually accepted by the person. I make frequent visits to mumbai. I find that the lifestyle is turning out to be more branded, economy improving (in terms of income), socially still the same old mumbai (people are still friendly and warm), more opportunities available, culturally - wo ich culture hai bhidu, khali bole toh thoda sa fashion badh gayela hai, apna ijjat toh sab log waisa ich karta hai jaisa paach saal paeyle karta tha....

All the best...

:-)

I lost my Delhi metro card. What should I do ? Will I get my money refund?

If card is lost by the commuter after web top before presenting it to AVM, then if top up on that card is done by another person, then DMRC is not responsible for this as all the smart cards issued by DMRC are anonymous. But if top up on that card is not done at AVM then DMRC will return the top up amount after deducting 2.5% of transaction value.DMRC/FAQs

Can a DMRC Smart Card be used by 2 people at the same time if they are travelling together?

It's not advisable to do so but there's a way if you don't want to buy a new ticket/card and it's actually cost efficient too.I came up with this idea while travelling in metro :pLet's say A and B have to travel b/w two stations and the ticket fare is INR 30 for one person(Total for 2 persons would be INR 60 )Now the idea is A enters the first station with his card ans swipes the card on the exit gate of same station but doesn't exit himself a fare of IINR 8 or 10 would be deducted. He gives his card to B waiting at the entry gate , now B enters with the cardBoth A and B are now inside the metro station .They would travel to their desired destinationNow they have to exit the metro station , let's say B exits from the exit gate and INR 30 would be deducted from the card, he then swipes the card at entry gate but doesn't enter the station and give the card to A waiting at exit gate who then exits and INR 8 or 10 would be deducted from the cardNow if you remember total expense is just 8/10+30+8/10 = 46 or 50 which is surely less than 60Up vote if you find it interesting!!!Thank you for reading.
