I Have B1b2visa So Can I Get Social Security Card And Work Permit

How do I get a social security number with a B1/B2 visa?

Follow the instructions here https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-1...Generally you are required to have employment authorization (EAD) which is only really possible with a B visa if you are going to the US as the personal servant of a non-immigrant and are accompanying your employer. See https://sa.usembassy.gov/wp-cont...Here are some other reasons you may apply for an SSN without Employment Authorization RM 10211.610 - Valid Reasons to Assign an SSN for Nonwork Purposes - 07/31/2014You can also apply for a TIN which can be used insteadTaxpayer Identification Numbers

If you have a social security number and tourist visa, can you work in the USA?

No. You cannot work just because you a visa. You need to maintain your immigration status. Visa is the key to enter a country and that is all. Just because you entered doesn't mean you can work. As long as Social security number is concerned, as of now it's only given to those individuals who have proper status and a legitimate offer by a company or a university. Even if you have a SSN somehow you cannot work on toruirst visa. Tourist visas are given to roam around, see NYC , niagra falls , vegas do a road trip see and have fun.You should have your status maintained as let's say a working status.. these could be H1, L1 , F1 and J1( cpt and opt)If you are on tourist visa and working , that would be illegal and if found you would be deported back.

How do you get social security with tourist visa?

The short answer is that you don't. To get a Social Security card, you have to be a U.S. citizen or be lawfully admitted to the U.S. under a category of admission that gives you permission to work. Tourist visas almost never grant permission to work.Honestly, if you're here on a tourist visa and you’re not planning to work (well, maybe you are, but work with me here), chances are pretty good you wouldn't need a Social Security card anyway. Most of the things people would need to present a Social Security card to obtain - to open a bank account or get a driver’s license, for example - can be done with alternative numbers like a Taxpayer Identification Number from the IRS.About the only reason Social Security will issue an SSN to someone without permission to work would be if that person qualified for some kind of benefit, like a spouse’s benefit or survivors benefit. Even then, you most likely won't be issued a card, and if you were it’d say you don’t have permission to work with it. Save yourself the trouble of going to Social Security to ask for a card.

Is there a way to invest money without a social security number?

Yes!
As long as you have a credit card, or a checking account you can wirelessly purchase stocks through institutions such as e-trade. (8%-____)
You can purchase company bonds with cash or any other payment. (7%-25%)
With any form of currancy you can set up a CD at any bank (4%-5%)
In most investment feilds you can generate a portfolio with nothing more than money. Always keep in mind that most legitimate investments today work internationally and US SS#'s mean very little outside the US.

How can I find work with only a B1/B2 visa?

Since you are here and are in good status, don't jeopardize your future by working or getting in trouble. You might get lucky and fall in love with a US Citizen, but if you get in trouble, you are going to have a hard time getting your green card in the future. Ask your family and friends to help you pay to change your status.

But if you decide to adjust your status through marriage or through a work visa, make sure you do it 90 days after entry. The government uses a 30/60/90 day rule to determine if an immigrant had fraudulent intent upon entering the USA. This means that if you entered on a tourist visa and immediately married a US citizen (say 2 days), then your application will be flagged as fraudulent and there would be a good chance of it being denied.
