I Have Been Having A Headache For About A Month Straight Now

Everyday Headache for 3 months straight?

23 year old male. Ive had this never ending headache for about 3 months now. Its never really painful. Sometimes its a dull pain or pressure on my right or left side but mostly my right side. I get pressure in my forehead as well. Sometimes i get pain on the top of my head, but like i said its never any debilitating pain. When the pressure happens i sometimes get a ringing in my ears. I sometimes get aura as well. I went to the doctor, they gave me a shot for imflammation but it didnt help, it just kind of made me nauseous (which the doctor told me the shot would make me nauseous). What kind of headache could this be?

Been having headaches for 2 straight weeks now?

I've been having these headaches for 2 weeks now, but they aren't migraines so they don't make me sick, but just a constant moderate headache...I do have one bad eye, but i recently went to eye doctor and both my eyes are fine. School started last Friday and I haven't gotten much sleep trying to get back into the routine, but that doesn't explain the last week of the headaches...I've also always drank water and every 2 or 3 months i might have a coke or something...I'm worried if it's something serious...I'm 17

I've had a headache for a month...?

Okay, I'm going to give you A LOT of detail as I think it's important that I take everything into account as I don't have a clue what is causing my headache.

Right, a bit of general background information about me. I have anxiety problems and I always worry about my health but the doctor has put me on Fluoxetine last year to help control this. I have IBS so I'm also on Merbentyl syrup which helps control the cramping I get with it. I'm also on Dianette, the contraceptive pill and have been on it for a year or so.

So about 3 and a half weeks ago I was getting ready to go to work and I had a headache coming on so I thought i'd take some paracetamol. A few hours later my headache was still there which I thought was weird as normally paracetamol gets rid of my headaches! Anyway this headache got better the next day but was still there but I thought it would just gradually go. But it didn't. It would come and go throughout the day, sometimes it would be worse in the evening, sometimes it would be bad all day, but when it wasn't there as much if I pressed above my eyes it really hurt as if that's where the pain is. My mum starting doing some accupressure and pressing on my pressure points. This was just painful and didn't really help.. so after a couple of weeks I went to see my Optican as I have recently had an eye test and needed glasses. He said my eyes were fine (he looked at them with his light and said there was no swelling or anything) so it wasn't my eyes. So I went to see my doctor and he said it was a sinus infection. I was a bit confused as I didn't have a temperature or a cold or anything :S I recently have had shingles and a cold before that but that was months ago. I get a lot of trouble with my ears as my eustation tubes are very narrow and easily get blocked so I get pain and infections sometimes. So I took the antibiotics the doctor gave me and I thought the headache was getting better but it still hurt when I press on my head. I finished the antibiotics and the headache was still there slightly. But by a couple of days later it was back again. So I took some sudafed to see if that helped but it didn't but i only took one dose. I do quite often miss periods because on the pill you can put two packs together. But i haven't had headaches before cus of this? I don't know what it is. But it's making me worry and it's becoming an annoyance. Anyone help?

I am 15 and have had a headache for 7 months straight. The pain is rarely lower than a 5, and can be up to 6.75. I have had an MRI, EEG, and extensive blood testing done. I go to acupuncture, polarity and osteopath. I have slight scoliosis. Could that be causing my headache?

In considering this diagnostic challenge , one must consider Gravity, and position and weight of the head (about 10 pounds). Anyone with a constant headache and a "scoliosis" should look to determine if one shoulder is lower, which can be a natural consequence of scoliosis. This can be determined by direct observation of shoulder heights in the upright and relaxed human. The distance from neck base to T-shirt rim might be greater on the lower-shoulder side. Important information can be gained by evaluating the girth, tenseness, and pain upon palpation of the anterior leading edges of the Superior trapezium. When one shoulder is lower, as a bio-mechanical consequence of a unilateral lower shoulder, the constant effort holding up a head tilted toward the lower shoulder side can isometrically exercise and tone, to the point of muscle spasm and chronic pain, the Superior trapezius on the side away from the direction wherein the head is tilted. A chronically spastic Superior trapezius can be experienced as a chronic headache; a chronic muscle tension headache. A unilateral shoe lift, Yoga, aquatherapy, massage, and biofeedback can help. A Physical Therapist can provide useful insight and dedicated muscle and soft tissue therapies to pursue correct muscle balance. Anyone with scoliosis should be evaluated for Hypermobility Syndrome; in which case scoliosis often remits when the person is prone; as Gravity is relatively negated. Anyone with thoracolumbar scoliosis should be evaluated for pelvic girdle unilateral sacroiliac joint instability; often found in cases of Hypermobility Syndrome and in persons with Hypermobility Syndrome who pursue extreme sports and suffer pratfalls; causing injury to a sacroiliac joint ligament thereby leading to loss of sacroiliac joint integrity.

How should I treat a migraine I've had for 3 days straight?

I have migraines. Mine were sporadic, until one day they came and never went away. I had a migraine for six months with no relief inbetween. I have them where I have a sensitivity to light and sound, ringing in my ears, I see lines or floaties, I sometimes go blind, my head throbs, one side or both goes numb, I can not speak, the come with mental confusion, and vomiting or nausea. Now that I have given you a small dose of what my migraines are like, I will tell you what I did to get rid of them.I lost my job and home due to these headaches. My children and father were having to look after me. My dad suffers from the same migraines and normally they last 2–4 days and we can sleep them off, but I would go a few hours without the pain and then it would hit again and I would be stuck in the bed.As much as you’re going to hate hearing this, there is no fast cure, or home cure to get rid of them. Trust me, I have tried everything under the sun and I have spent thousands of dollars on migraine medication, cures, home remedies, chiropractors, etc. When I am stuck at home I found that taking something and putting pressure around my head helped. My dad would squeaze my head. I would also take a ice pack and place it behind my neck and on my forehead to numb those nerves. Tylenol and Hydrocodone will not work for most migraines…I’ve tried these to the point of nearly OD. A muscle relaxer will sometimes help, but like I said, it isn’t a fix.As soon as you are able to, go to the doctor…preferably one that specializes in headaches. I take Topimax and Amitriptyline and they work wonders. I went six months with a daily migraines until it put me in th hospital. I went from weighing 135 lbs to 89 lbs. I have been on this medication for nearly 4 months and have had one migraine so far and it only lasted a few hours, but I also have other medication to combat them when I am actually having one.If you don’t have the money to go to the doctor and you live in the US, take a trip to the hospital and they can give you a shot that will help with the migraine. I have had this shot many times and it helps.

What should I do if I have had constant headaches for 6 months, and even medication is not working for me?

Sitting here it is impossible to clinically exclude thyroid, anaemia etc. Additionally you are young female. Those are usually tension headache, migraine, eyesight problem etc but basically clinical exclusion of many things needed. You should have a General Physician or visit a Goverment Medical College Hospital’s outdoor. In case of private care, you should General Physician as primary doctor. General Physician/primary care doctor is your main doctor. He/she will review from specialists on need.Read on UK Govt site on Headache Headaches - NHS Choices for a general idea and follow ordinary home made therapy like sleeping at proper time, mental relaxation, drinking adequate water etc.You can see the chart for us, your case going towards migraine, tension headache etc.

Why did I start having frequent headaches about a week and a half ago? I think it is involved with nicotine withdrawals since I have been clean for about almost 4 weeks now, but I'm not sure.

If you didn’t have them immediately after quitting nicotine, I don’t think they would suddenly start up. I don’t know where you live, but there have been some wild weather swings in the US recently (aka barometric pressure changes) & that can absolutely cause headaches. I deal with them more and more as I’ve aged, but sometimes even a day or so out from a storm has me hurting. It’s now springtime (or fall if you’re in S. Hemisphere) & that is generally allergy time. What about caffeine? Have you made a change there? Could also be a cause.Hope you feel better soon!

Are headaches that last for 4 days bad?

Before asking if you should go to the doctor, you should evaluate what you have done for this headache. Pain is your body's way to telling you something is wrong. Try to figure out what your body is telling you. Have you been especially stressed lately? Do you have a lot of tension? Both are common causes of headaches. Is your area experiencing weather changes? High and low pressure fronts moving in cause many people headaches. Have you recently changed your diet or activity level? Both can cause headaches. What have you done to try and make the headache go away? Over the counter pain medications, such as Excedrin, Aleve, or ibuprofen work for many people. Fresh air and exercise are also good remedies. Don't do anything too extreme, but a walk in the fresh air can help your headache as well as give you a chance to relax and reduce your stress and tension. Make sure you are getting plenty of water to drink, and are eating healthy, lots of fruits and veggies will help your body and give you needed nutrients. Make sure you are getting plenty of rest. Lack of sleep can also cause headaches. If all else fails and you still have the headache, talk to your doctor. It never hurts to get checked out. I do not, however, recommend going to the emergency room. A simple headache is not appropriate for the emergency room and you are taking time away from the doctors and nurses that could be helping emergent patients. Unless this came on suddenly, or is so bad you cannot function, chances are you do not have a tumor. In fact, you are more likely to get in a car accident on the way to the doctor's office then to have a tumor. If you are stressing over the idea that you have a tumor, you may very well be exacerbating the situation with the added stress you are giving yourself. Just relax!I hope you feel better soon!

I've had an ongoing headache for 2 weeks now, help?

I've had a non-stop headache for 2 weeks now. It seems to be more painful around my eyes. One more than the other. I've been trying to stick it out because I don't have the money for a doctors visit. Also, I know they will just recommend me to take medicine which I like to avoid taking anything. I was wondering what are some ways to relieve the pain without medication? Also, I've had a ongoing sinus infection these past few months. Could the headaches be happening because of that? And, the same question for the sinus infection. How can I find relief from the sinus infection without taking medication?
