What will I do to close the gap between my teeth?

Well. You can a lot many things to close gaps between ur teeth, depending upon how much gap u have in between ur teeth.Gaps in between teeth usually tend to look ugly, n people tend to rush to the orthodontist most often. If ur gaps are in large amounts or if gaps are present in between multiple teeth then it is advisable to visit the orthodontist who with the help of brackets and wires can close the gaps effectively. But you will have to wear retainers religiously for a stipulated time as told by the dentist. If gap is jus between two teeth or minor gaps, then a ceramic/porcelain crown can be given.Or else, composite resins can be used fill the gap and give an acceptable contour to the tooth. It can be noted that all these methods have acceptable esthetics and that only difference lies in the cost if the treatment. For better advice do visit youd nearest dentist!

Is it normal to have some gap between upper and lower teeth so they do not touch each other unless I make a conscious effort?

It is normal when “at rest”, to have your upper and lower jaws barely touch or not touch at all. It is also normal to have your lower front teeth (when the two jaws are together) be slightly behind the upper front teeth. Now, if the upper front teeth flare out, that can easily be fixed. Keep in mind, that that alignment of teeth is like a puzzle. When you move a few, you need to be sure that the others will not be negatively disturbed. All the teeth need to fit together properly both for chewing and for rest. The good news is that almost all of these issues can be fixed.Go to an orthodontist and have him/her take a look at your teeth. It won’t cost you much for the first visit, but it will give you a better idea than what someone can tell you on the internet without a proper exam.

Are most people's teeth naturally crooked?

I've noticed that in a fare amount of photos of people from (Japan and China come to mind) that a lot of the common folk tend to have very crooked teeth and poor hygiene. My teeth were naturally straight, but I am wondering if it is the norm that most people have crooked teeth and it is only through braces and other procedures that most people I see in the US have straight teeth?

Why does my neighbouring premolar tooth feels loose post lower first molar extraction?

Apart from the disruption due to surgery, since teeth stabilize each other, removing one—especially a molar—allows a little more “play” in neighbors. If you’re not having pain or swelling, go ahead and eat normally.

Are crooked bottom teeth a turn off?

My upper teeth are absolutely perfect (never had braces) but my two bottom front teeth are a bit crooked. Also, another tooth is starting to turn due to overcrowding.
Everyone tells me I have a beautiful smile, so I'm afraid to get braces because it might alter my smile negatively; however I will be going into the political field and want to make a good impression (nice teeth account for a lot).

So is it really that big of a turn off? And would it be weird to get braces now because I'm 18 and graduating high school in three months. Thanks in advance.

Crowded and protruding teeth. I NEED HELP!?

i have mild crowding and overlapping (wait, is that redundant?) in both my upper and lower teeth. and one of my front teeth is protruding and covering part the little incisor beside it. i also have a slight overbite. overall, my teeth don't look so bad but those problems make it hard to keep my teeth clean.

i've heard about invisalign but i don't really understand what it is and how it works. also, can braces fix my teeth? what treatment would be best for me?

thanks.

Big gap due to missing tooth, can braces close it?

Yeah, it's how pretty much anybody would close that sort of gap. You'd need braces along your entire top jaw, and the orthodontist would likely put a powerchain along the braces, which pulls the teeth together and closes any gaps and makes everything even. It would really depend on the size of the gap, and if you wanted to do any other work at the same time, but just for the gap I'd say anything from 6-12 months with braces, then the retainer afterwards...

Can impacted wisdom teeth straighten, or should I have them removed?

My two, lower wisdom teeth are impacted, as they came in crooked and point inwards (about half of each tooth has already come in).

My orthodontics dentist has recommended that I have them removed (as well as my STRAIGHT upper wisdom teeth) so that my newly aligned teeth don't become crooked again.

I'm 18, and I'm very hesitant about getting them removed. I'm not scared of the actual removal (as I've had other teeth pulled before and had no problems), but I just feel that we have wisdom teeth for a reason, and I don't want to take them out. I do not have the flap of gum over my teeth that most people have, and other than the fact that they might make my teeth crooked again, they are perfectly fine (as I'm pretty sure I have the room for them.

So... do I need to have them removed? Or will the teeth eventually straighten themselves out?
