I Have Black Hair Which Are Ultimately Falling. I Want It To Become Long And Stop Falling I Need

Im african american and my hair wont stop falling out. it keeps falling out in clumps I NEED HELP FAST!! ?

Hair loss is caused due to many reasons such as lack of vitamins, minerals or iron in the body, age, pollution, heredity, stress, lack of sleep, hormonal imbalance and illness. It is said that that losing almost100 hair in a day is normal. If you lose hair more than that then it's an alarming sign. Usually hair fall in normal quantity is normal as even they have a life and grow back again.
But if they are going through the roots and you can see bald patches on your head then its high time to go to a doctor to find out the reason and get the perfect cure for it. Its only when the situation is rally bad, you need to go to a doctor otherwise its very much in hand to tackle the problem of hair fall. Some other hair problems as dandruff, uncleanness or split ends too tend to break the hair. It's very important to look after the hair well. One needs to eat healthy food, regular cleaning of the hair, drinking plenty of water, sleeping properly to keep the hair healthy and shining.

Always keep your hair clean. It will protect them from dandruff, itching and hair lice, which ultimately results in hair fall.
Always use the shampoo(i suggest herbal essence it's amazing) and conditioner depending on your hair type.
Give regular massages to your scalp and hair with lukewarm oil at least twice a month. You can choose coconut oil, olive oil or almond oil for your hair. You can even mix these oil and apply the solution on your hair.

Use treatments every week like applying 2 spoons of Castor oil and one egg in the first week, then avocado and jojoba oil with a little bit of olive oil the next week, apply henna on your hair it's very good (don't apply heat on your hair)
Brush your hair using a wide comb

Hope it works for you (i also have the African american hair that used to fall alot but know i have the smooth curly hair, and the falling reduced alot lately)

Is it true your hair will fall out if you stop relaxing it?

Actually, it will, especially if you don't take care of it. Your hair is it's strongest at the roots. When you have new growth coupled with relaxed hair then at some point your hair will start breaking off at the new growth when you start combing/brushing/styling it. If you've ever gone longer than you should have between touch-ups then you'll see breakage at the new growth - your hair will break off and the only hair left in that spot will be the new growth. Now you probably won't have patches of bald spots, but if the breakage is bad then you'll definitely notice that your already relaxed hair broke off at the new growth. This is common.

Now, if you want to get technical, no your hair won't "fall out" but it will break off if you go too long between touch-ups. Been there, done that, which is one reason I stopped relaxing altogether. No, you won't go to school bald, lol, but some parts of your hair will be shorter than others. It might be noticeable or it might not be noticeable. You won't be completely bald in those spots, however long your new growth is is how long your hair will be in that part.

If you want to stop relaxing then I suggest you start putting your hair in a protective style like braids or weaves. If you start going without a touch-up then your hair is going to be more likely to break off at the new growth. It'll start breaking whenever you start styling, combing, or brushing your hair. Having a weave or braids keeps you from having to comb your hair and as such it keeps your hair from breaking off.

Look up some relaxed to natural transitioning videos on youtube and see how other girls transition their hair without cutting it. If you want to go natural, you'll have to cut off all the relaxed hair. You don't have to do it all at once; you can grow out your hair for a few years, but it also depends on how well you take care of it. If you don't take care of it then your relaxed hair will start breaking off at the new growth...

Black women only......I haven't had a perm in a while and I wanted to know if my hair will fall out?

My mom keeps telling me I need to hurry up and get a perm. It looks bad but I don't go anywhere so I just keep it wrapped. I don't remember exactly how long its been but I know its been more than 6 weeks. And she keeps telling me if i wait too long to get it my hair will fall out when I finally do get it. And when I do get one do I need to use a super or stick with my regular perm!! Help me....my bday is coming up soon and I dont want to have to wear a wig on my bday!!!

I am an Indian teen guy, and my hair is becoming white. What can I do to get rid of it?

I got my first white hair at age 15, so I think I have some idea how you feel. By the time I was 21 I had a fair number of white hairs scattered over the top of my head, where they were quite obvious to everyone, and over the years I got more and more. Now at age 58 the topmost layer of my hair is almost entirely white although I still have some black hairs underneath, especially at the back of my head. Here is what my hair looks like:If you have just a few white hairs you can ignore them (my college roommate plucked hers out with a tweezer, not recommended), but ultimately you have three choices: you can shave your head, you can dye your hair for the next 30-50 years, or you can accept and embrace your white hair.I began to dye my hair in my late 30s and continued for seven years. Eventually it just became such an annoyance that I decided I had to stop. When you dye your hair you have to start worrying about things like roots: how many weeks has it been since you applied dye? Are your roots showing? If I go on a business trip for two weeks do I need to move up my touchup schedule to attend to those roots before I go, or should I wait until afterwards and go on a business trip with white roots showing? Etc.Frankly I found it exhausting. I wanted to just live my life. But once you start dyeing your hair it is hard to stop. If you just stop cold you get a kind of skunk stripe down the top of your head as your roots grow out, and it takes months and months (if you keep your hair short) for the color to become even all over your head. What I did was go to a salon for "corrective color" - they bleached my hair thoroughly and then conditioned it and gave me blonde highlights. I lived with that for nine or ten months before my natural silver color grew out completely. So those are your choices. I recommend just letting it grow in and embracing it. White hair can be beautiful. I like mine a lot and I get a lot of compliments on it. Good luck!

If I keep getting perms will my hair eventually fall out?

Your hair won't fall out because of the relaxer but it could break off because of other reasons such as not moisturizing enough or...at all. You're at a good start by cutting down on using heat. If you get tired of wearing buns and you want the ends of your hair curly a good alternative to curling the ends of your hair with a wand everyday would be to curl them using flexi rods. Also, if your hair isn't over processed, then it shouldn't be stringy. Its not stringy when you wash it, so it won't be when you moisturize it. Water is a moisturizer you know. Just seal in the moisture with an oil or shea butter or something of the like and your good to go. (Focus on the ends of your hair because they are the oldest most vulnerable strands you have, so they need special attention and tlc)

Will your hair fall out if you stop getting perms (African American)?

NO!! sister, sister, sister! tell her no more perms! if your hair is falling out it is because of breakage and chemical damage done to the hair from the perm. Often women who get perms at a young age and continue throughout their lifetime wind up with damaged, unmanageable hair resistant to any chemical you put on it.
I would suggest you stop getting relaxers, TRUST me, my mother killed my hair as a child, it was to my waist and she relaxed it back2back and killed it, it was cut up to my ears! ultimately, relaxers will change the natural grade of your hair, as well as break it off. If anything, stopping now while you are so young would be very beneficial. you can still save your hair! If you like your hair straight, you can use a flat iron but first apply breakage serum to your hair before pressing it. also, pressing isn't an everyday routine, I'd say press out one day and wrap it at night so it will look fresh for days until your next hair wash.
Mane n' tail shampoo/conditioner is also excellent for hair growth as well as battling breakage and making hair stronger and longer. It's not to late to save your hair, but the relaxers need to stop. hope this helps.

you may want to tell your grandmother that you are becomming a young woman now, and you would like to maintain your hair in a way that feels comfortable for you. Natural hair is beautiful, it also grows longer and stronger than chemically treated hair. its sad because some people attribute black women to having short hair simply because we are black, this isnt the case. if you care for your hair properly (ie,no chemicals, excessive heat, etc.) you can have long strong natural hair as an afro american woman.
