I Have Bleached My Hair Its A Yellow Colour Now. What Can I Do With It

I used bleach on my white bra and now it is a yellow-ish color. Is there any way to get rid of the yellow?

I can't believe I'm answering this question.

Good luck!

Getting rid of yellow bits in my bleached hair help!?

Dye it. You can't get rid of them.

I bleached and toned my hair, it’s yellow. Can I dye it platinum instead of bleaching it again?

I wouldn’t recommend it. permanent colour is actually surprisingly harsh on hair. it also likely wont lift through the yellow. I’m assuming you are using over the counter colour if you are doing it yourself, which means that the “platinum” will likely be as strong as 40vol. you are running a high risk of really frying your hair. the best option is to go to a salon and have a professional fix it. the up keep would really only be the roots after that, and isn’t so expensive after the bigger job. I somehow feel that you aren’t going to do that though. so if you must, the best coarse of action is to use bleach, with a very low volume, 5–10vol. you will have to let it sit for longer, but low and slow will expose less warmth and be gentler. when you think it is ready to rinse let it sit another five minutes. once you rinse it out tone it with something that is deposit only (no lifting strength) and is blue-violet based. good luck!

I bleached my roots and used a toner and my hair is still yellow. Can I use a natural blonde dye to cover up the yellow?

Blonde is finicky. In theory, yes. I would strongly advise using a purple shampoo first to see if any brassiness is reduced. If your hair is still yellow- that’s the color of your hair and you’ll have to dye a darker shade of blonde as it most likely won’t lighten via the dye alone.PLEASE NOTE ALL HAIR IS DIFFERENT AND ANSWERS GIVEN BY ME ARE FOR A GENERAL AUDIENCE**

What do I do if I want my hair back to its natural colour and I bleach it and then dyed it blonde and then dyed it again dark brown. How can I get my hair back to its natural colour, is it possible to remove bleach from hair?

After using a bleaching treatment, you have stripped all pigmentation out of the shafts of your hair. So, you have to redeposit the colours back into the hair, moving up the colour chart from white to brown.I'm sure you have seen people who have yellow hair that intended it to be blonde. It's because they didn't take it down to the level past yellow. Black to browns to orange to yellow to white. You have to fill the shaft of hair with the colours, depending on how light you took it with the bleach. It can be done, I'm a senior stylist and colour Tech. If you are trying to do this on your own, I need some details please.May I ask what is your natural colour? In order to help you out, I need to know what colour you are now. Level if you know it. I also need to know what your natural is. Hair is made up of several colours, so if you can give me details about colour you pull when you first used the bleach, it can also help. For example, I'm a level 5 brown and my hair pulls copper and gold no matter what I use. Do you know what you pull and what level you are at now? As well as what you want to achieve?

Can I put blonde hair color on already bleached hair?

Of course you can put blonde hair dye on bleached hair. It’s a matter of how damaged your hair already is. So ask yourself some questions before grabbing the dye.Are you buying box dye or mixing your own? While box dye is quite a bit cheaper if you are doing this once (hard to believe), it works differently on different hair types. So while a dye might work great in my hair, it might melt yours. Something you have to figure out over time.Or. you can get it done by a salon.Do you have extra curricular activities that could damage your hair more? (i.e. Swimming)Be careful about swimming with bleached hair. Green or dry hair can happen to anyone. How often do you already bleach your hair? You do not want to over process your hair, else you have to cut it off and start over. Can you dedicate time to applying a hair mask at least once a week? This is personal. Not everyone has to do this, but I reccommend it to any of my friends wanting to dye their hair. I do it and my hair has survived being toned and bleached all the way to white. How do you feel about cold showers?Another personal one. Hot water can cause damage to your hair. You don’t have to shower exclusively in cold water, but 2–5 minutes of cold water at the end can not only make your hair shiny, but also improve your immune system (Two birds, one stone). What about dry hair?No matter what you do, bleaching and dying will dry out your hair. You will notice. So, as long as you don’t mind that, then go for it.What is your natural hair color?Naturally blonde hair is easier to bleach/dye because it doesn’t have to be processed as much. Brown and darker hair has more integrity (normally it is thicker) and can handle more dying, but it takes more to go lighter.Sooooo, all this and more comes into play when deciding whether or not you want to dye your hair.Good luck with your decision!

How do you get rid of yellow tones in bleached blonde hair?

Did you bleach it at home, or in a salon?

If you bleached in salon, you can go back to them say you are not happy with the result and they should fix it for free. (Im living in Sydney, Australia, that is the general procedure here, depends where you are or what salon you go to as to what their policy is)

If you did it at home, that's another story. I have light brown hair and have either had it fully bleached or streaked since I was 15 yo (I am now 22), my hair is prone to brassiness, even after using an in salon toner. What I use to combat this at home is an at home toner, it is pantene brand, not very expensive but I am happy with result. I also use any "purple shampoo", the purple shampoos are specifically designed to combat brassiness, most brands have a "purple shampoo" line. At the moment I am using the Toni&Guy purple shampoo and conditioner, but I also really like the loreal one (bit more expensive though, and can't buy at supermarket, in salon or price attack etc only). You need to be careful not to over use these products, when my hair is platinum blonde, overuse of "purple shampoo" sends it purple/grey!!!

You could dye over it but as your hair is quite long, I think this is going to stress it out and make it brittle and dry, maybe streaks or lowlights would add a more natural touch without the damage of a complete re-dye.

Hope this helps.

How do I color my hair light blonde over bleached hair?

How light is your bleached hair now? Are you still darker than light blonde? If you are still darker or more orange, you cannot get to light blond without more bleaching. You can, however, tone your current color so it looks more natural. These colors will counteract the color your hair is now so it looks more like a natural blonde. Toners are transparent pure colors that are mixed with a gentle (low volume) peroxide to add a little color to your base. This chart shows what colors you need to tone your hair to get a natural hue. If your hair is yellow, use a violet toner. If your hair is a little bit orange, use a blue/violet toner. If your hair is very orange, use a blue toner. If your hair is very red, using a green (“ash”) toner will turn it a natural brown. If your bleached hair is too grey looking, you can use a beige or golden toner to warm it back up.

I bleached and toned my hair, but there's still a light yellow tint it left behind?

If your aiming for platinum blonde, try maybe bleaching it a bit more, and then applying a toner.
But even still, you may not get the result you want, so the safest bet would to put on the ash blonde dye. I had this issue actually IN THE SALON many years ago, where I was aiming for platinum blonde but was left with too many yellow tones/brassiness so we had to go with a darker, ash blonde because no amount of toner was helping.
I just recently had blonde highlights put in my hair .. and we had to use a ton of toner to get red tones out of my hair from previous dye .. and it still didn't come out all the way .. so I'm thinking if you've got alot of yellow in there, its not going to work with just the toner, that you'd have to bleach again and do toner as well.

Will my slightly yellow bleached hair eventually fade? Or should I use toner?

I just bleached my hair tonite. It is alittle too light/yellowish for my liking, but it's really not THAT bad. I am going to be using Shimmer Lights (purple shampoo) and I'm hoping this will clear up the problem. I have Clairol cream champagne beige toner (violet base), but i'm kinda freaked out to use it. What do you think?? Wait it out with the purple shampoo, or use the toner??
