I Have Chronic Shoulder Pain

I have chronic neck and shoulder pain, what should i do, i dont want to have pain killer like Doctor told me t?

The chronic neck and shoulder pain could be caused by how you hold your head and or round your shoulders all day.

I was able to fix my lower back problems with info. from Dr. Bookspan.

She has done research on joint pain and gives you most of the info to start getting better.

What are the best exercises for people with chronic shoulder pain?

Pendulum. To do the pendulum exercise, start by leaning over and supporting your non-injured arm with a table or chair. Allow the sore arm to dangle straight down and then draw circles in the air. The circles should start out small but gradually grow, and you should also reverse direction periodically. Repeat this exercise 5 to 10 times throughout the day.Arm across the chest. To do this stretch, hold your right hand out in front of your body, keeping it near the waist. Then reach the left hand behind the elbow while pulling the right arm to the left and across the chest. Lower the arm until the pain lessens. Hold in this position for 30 to 50 seconds and then release. Repeat this stretch 3 to 5 times.Neck release. While sitting up straight, slowly tilt the chin toward the chest until the stretch can be felt in the back of the neck. Then lean your head toward the left to stretch the right shoulder, or conversely lean to the right to stretch the left shoulder. The stretch should be held for a minute on each side. Try breathing deeply to help relax and maximize the stretch.Chest expansion. For this exercise you’ll need an exercise band, rope, strap or a tie. Take one of these items and hold it behind your back while grasping with both hands. Move the shoulder blades toward one another and gently lift your chin toward the ceiling. Hold for 10 to 15 seconds while breathing deeply. Do this 3 to 5 times.

Severe shoulder pain?

i have severe pain in my shoulder. it's getting so if i walk the friction is enough to make it spasm. it's not frozen, i can move it but the joint pops up and down. i've tried doing little exercises to build up the rotator cuff muscles, i've tried more general shoulder exercises, the more i move it the worse it is. especially if i lift above my head, and not immediate pain but like it builds up and eventually is so bad i have to stay in bed and it makes me sick. the doctors that have examined me have only looked at me, and done xrays, no MRI scan. i have had it for a year, i've had injections. put cold on it, rested it, moved it. if anything it's more severe. i am seeing a physio soon, but i dont know if i should be resting it or moving it. when moving it makes it so bad. what should i do??

Severe pain in my shoulder...?

I have severe pain in my left shoulder that is moving up my neck and down my arm. I also have pins and needles feeling in the painful area. This does not feel like muscle pain and there is nothing that I can remember happening to me in the last few days that could have caused this. My question is what could this be and does any one have any ideas as to how I can relieve the pain? I took 800mg of motrin a few hours ago and that did not give me any relief. I know that everyone will say that I need to go to the doctor. I have an appointment tonight at 7:00 so there is quite a bit of time between now and then to suffer this pain. Any ideas?

Is it abnormal to have chronic shoulder pain months after a clavicle fracture?

Chronic pain is the plague because there does not seem to be a treatment for it. All treatments converge to treat the symptoms not the underlying reason for the pain.Treatments either numb the nerves chemically or shock them with electricity (low intensity currents).Since these treatment have no effect for the underlying reason for the pain, the pain keeps coming back, hence chronic. There is a non profitable treatment, therefore no one will promote it. It is based on the pain pattern you experience which can help you pinpoint the origin of your pain. The treatment is easy to learn and apply. It takes no time to massage the pain point. Only 30 seconds a treatment.Check with your medical professional that your pain condition has no other underlying reason.Download the free app. that will show you how to get back pain relief regardless if your condition is acute or chronic.Pain Point Therapy - Android Apps on Google PlayWe are developing the IOS version which we will make available shortly.Follow us on Twitter '@mdcure2 to get the download link when the IOS version of the app is available. How can I relieve chronic pain in my neck/shoulder muscle from heavy backpacks?

You may want to go seek help from a physical therapist but try getting a backpack that is more supportive where you can get support from your chest and core. I also recommend you perform shoulder and neck mobility exercises follow by yoga stretch moves for these muscles on a daily basis to relieve the pain but you may want to go seek professional help. Here are my go to shoulder/neck mobility and stretch exercises for myself (I lift heavy weights 6 times a week so shoulders/neck are always sore):Mobility to start: Shoulder Mobility Workout (perfect for dynamic warmup) Stretch to finish: 10 Min Beginner Yoga Stretch Routine (Great for Flexibility & Relaxation) , focus on the following yoga poses, cat and cows, forward bend, pigeons, downward and upward dog and child's pose. Hopefully this helps.

I have suffering nerves with chronic shoulder pain and numb painful fingers when resting. Is Supradyn good for me?

Who knows, truly. No one should be making medication suggestions without seeing you and doing a proper history and physical. You need to see a doctor and get evaluated with maybe some nerve conduction and muscle tests- and then decide on a plan of treatment.
