I Have Doubts About My .wmv Video For Help

Why wont my videos upload to youtube?

I just recently (2 days ago) got a new computer for gaming and recording and what not. Before that i was using 3 different computers to record/upload to youtube and never had a single problem i now have a BRAND NEW computer and my video refuses to upload. Now when i say i wont upload i dont mean it starts and then just freezes i mean i click upload select file then press open file, and it LITERALLY does NOTHING. Once i press open file the file window close's and the normal page which it takes you to when you first press upload is still there asking to "Upload or Record From Web Cam" it makes no effort to even load. Idk what this is please help. Thanks in advance. I have AVG but i DID disable the Link Scan or whatever and still nothing.

Help opening a .wmv file?

Home boy here has it. VLC all the way. It can play any file iv found yet. It's a free media player u can download, just install and it'll play all ur files (sometimes u gotta right click on the file and select "open with" then select vlc from the list.

Also, if u start archiving lots of movies and shows, it can take up lots of space. Consider getting a video converter to convert them into mkv format, which is more compact and has good quality on most videos

How do I make three videos into one?

For example, I want to record myself singing a 3 part (SSA) choir song. I made three videos, one for each different part of the song, but I don't want post up all 3 separate videos. I want to combine it into one video so it sounds like there really are 3 people singing the choir song, even though all vocals are mine. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I usually edit my videos on Windows Movie Maker, but I doubt that I could do anything on there ...

How to burn a wmv video to a CD-R?

SORry ITS LONG BUT I NEED HELP ASAP plzz readd....
I made a video on windows movie maker, and then when I saved it into my computer it saved as WMV, and it played perfectly in windows media player. I though that I could just burn it like burning songs, but I couldnt burn it thru windows media player, actually in windows media player under BURN it gives you options to choose from, there is one AUDIO CD and one DATA CD OR A DVD,. i tried both but when I tried to play it on my dvd (Insignia) it gave me a weird sound and didnt play. So I looked thru google and saw that i have to make it avi, i converted it to avi (using Any Video Converter) , but then it didnt have video on windows media player because of missing codecs or something, so again after searching for hours I downloaded DIVX and that helped me, the avi started playing with sound and video on windows media player, but i still didnt know how to burn it on cd. then i tried to vonvert the video in any video converter as NTSC and i still didnt know how to burn it. then i tried to burn using divx and again no luck, i put the blank cd in the cd rom, and then go to transfer to dvd player or tv ( i tried both) and then i put the video in there and click on start it starts to convert the video, and after it gets to 90 something percent the status said canceled. i dont know what else to do! i need this dvd tomorrow. I can buy a blank DVD tomorrow and try that too but will it work? i dont know if my computer burnd dvds or no i never tried that. I have HP Pavilion and its vista. And i dont want a data cd, because i have to play it on the tv. my dvd player is insignia or something like that, and it usually plays jpeg pictures and stuff......sorry its long i just wanted to explain every step that i took. plz help :( thanks in advance

Does anyone know a free video editing program that can read MOD files?

What conversion program are you using and into what format are you converting? Just curious, since the MOD files are simply DVD format files or VOB file extension files, which have MPEG-2 Video and AC3 Audio (very useful tool is called GSpot - it checks audio or video/audio files and determines their "actual format" in relation to audio and video codecs (mp2, mp3, mp4...etc) and lets you know what video and audio codecs you have loaded on your PC. You'll want to make sure you have the MPEG-2 and AC3 codecs on your PC, so that you can work with these files properly. Having TOO many codecs doesn't hurt. I think I have a total of around 700 codecs installed on my PC and a factory PC probably has at least a couple of hundred.

MOD files are JVC's and Panasonic's file extension, but the files are actually VOB or MPEG-2 Files (DVD format). Now here comes the easy part... converting these files to a format that will work with your FREE Windows Movie Maker application is VERY easy.

Just make sure that your file extensions are showing (uncheck the "hide file extensions for known file types" option) and then simply rename your .MOD files to .MPG files. Now you can directly import the MPG file into Windows Movie Maker directly without any converting at all.

The VideoHelp website has TONS of great free tools and applications for all your video/audio converting, editing, authoring, burning, and more. The best video editing software that I have found (and I've played with most all of them, both free and high-priced) is Sony's Vegas Pro. It truly is a professional video production tool that can do pretty much ANYTHING with ANYTHING. I also have Sony's Sound Forge (best audio editing tool around), which can be used inside Vegas Pro to "fine tune" your audio for your video.)

Hope this helps...

(you spent $200-$300 on a video camcorder, so why not spend a little money on some decent video editing software? I've played with Windows Movie Maker and it can do some cool things, but Sony's Vegas Pro Video editing software is infinitely better and it is a true professional video production tool).
This website is a VERY valuable reference for all things video (and audio with video):

For playing WMV files, you can install Perian so as to make QuickTime support WMV.However, Perian doesn't work on Mountain Lion and later versions. That means, if you want to play WMV movies in QuickTime with the help of Perian on macOS Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc, you'll need to downgrade your Mac to the previous version.

Embed a .wmv file into my website?

The page you specified is designed if you are hosting your own website, not using a web host. Upload the video to YouTube or something, then it will give you a link to embed it and everything!

Good luck!

Also, if you want to host your own web server, (Which I doubt) do a google search for XAMPP, it may be a little complicated though, best just sticking with using an external host. ;)

WMV file wont play !?!?

WMV is a video file WMV Window Media Video.

WMA is Windows Media Audio, that's the type of music file you need.

The Xbox 360 will play any audio file, as long as it's an audio file. You're attempting to play a video file.
