I Have Dream Act Paper I Wanna Go Travel My Country I Should Go

Why is travelling so important in life?

Turn your phone off, forget your mac, pack your bag and move, coz it’s one life, it’s now or never. Traveling is not just about going new places and posting on Instagram, making FB check-ins or updating your status. It is about the feeling of freedom from worldly pleasures, your professional shackles, the cobwebs of responsibilities which keep you occupied like as if that’s the only life you were meant to live, but my friend, that’s not true. Give yourself a break and explore what’s around.I love traveling and like any other Indian parent, my parents are concerned too, about the money I spend, the places I go and with whom I travel, But I still travel because it’s one life. I have not traveled a lot of places but enough of them to experience the silence of mountains, roaring of sea tides, the chilling water of waterfalls touching your bare feet, the mesmerizing beauty of clouded hill tops and the green fields of a distant village soaked in peace and serenity. This is where you might judge me as an unemployed girl with deep pockets, acting like a carefree soul. But that’s not what you think it is, I am just as anybody of you, who belongs to a middle-class family with shallow pockets, told to crack AIEEE, then went on to pursue engineering and now is a software developer in some lesser known firm, like any of you. It is about passion and determination. A lot of you mention these skills as your strength on your resume, highlighting in bold and caps, but do you really feel determined??? If you do then determine to explore places. The reason to travel is not just to go explore new places but to introspect yourself as well. You ponder over your thoughts and loosen up yourself, neither caring about the past nor the future. It’s the present what you live. To some traveling is just recreation and fun, but for others, it is when you feel yourself a free soul. Find who you really are and live for yourself instead of living for others.

Safe to ride the greyhound, as an immigrant?

I have never heard of them 'checking up' on Greyhound riders. Heck the drivers have enough to do to keep the bus on schedule. All they want to see is your ticket. If he's a legal immigrant what's he worried about anyway. If we go far enough back all of our ancestors were immigrants (unless your pure Indian). As far as safety - Greyhound is as safe as Amtrak or flying for that matter. I mean people don't get into fights on Greyhound any more than on an airliner. When was the last time you read in the paper or heard on the news of someone being stabbed or beat up on Greyhound. I think it was 2 years ago and that was out in western Canada. He will be quite safe I assure you. Greyhound is a good way to travel, the buses are better than ever and you get to see a lot of the country. Tell him not to worry and have an enjoyable trip.

How long would it take me to fix my husbands papers?

Im a us citizen by birth we have a one year old daughter. He came here illegal
w/o no visa. hes been here since 2006-7 He dosnt have a criminal record. he has been pulled over twice for no license and ows 2000 and were paying it off month by month. We have been together 3 yrs and been married for a month. We already went to a consultation in chicago with a attorney they will charge 4000 plus papers another1700. IDK if its too much or its about the price attorneys charge?. well in the consultation the attorney told me that theres a most likely possibilty that immigration offices will allow immigrants to stay here and instead of leaving and do all there finger printing here, and etc... also I need to prove that i will need of him or really be suffering for him to stay. I have a job and so does he we have owr own aprtmnt but were thinking in going with my parents so we can save up for this process .We have 5000 already but you never know if they send him out .

How do Indians feel when they go back to live in India after living in US for 5+ years?

Here is a word of advice for all NRI's who are looking to move back to India."If you are looking to move to India because you are bored of your job in the US or feel there are more opportunities here, then DON'T move back"I moved to Gurgaon 6 months back and its been a mix of pleasure and pain :)Its dusty, dirty, noisy, crowded, humid with crappy roads, even more crappier condos etc etc..you get the drift. If you want to live in a condo like you lived in the US, it will cost you atleast a lakh per month :)Most service providers and handymen will not be on time and will even be very blase about it.Shopping for good quality veggies and fruits is a pain. The fine line between a weekday and the weekend usually blurs.Maids and cooks are supposed to be a convenience but they are usually a pain in the neck because you gotta supervise them and keep an eye on them.Options for weekend breaks are very limited. If Google Maps says you will reach a place in 6 hours, it will take anywhere between 10-16hours.Sports facilities are pretty limited and the ones that are available are pretty expensive. The gyms here are crappy and are usually in the basement of some house nearby. There are good ones but usually very far from where you live and the commute is just not worth it.5kms of travel is like 25 miles of travel here.If you have been out of India for more than 3+ years, and have not been here in the last 3 years, you will get THE STICKER SHOCK of your life when you get back.Stuff has become frightfully expensive...some examples include petrol, wine, fine dining, movie tickets etc etc.Basically, everything is available here but at a price. You can almost duplicate your US lifestyle but the cost will be directly similar to what it was in the US. The only difference will be a drop in your salary (And this is if you were living in NYC or SFO. If you are living in Dallas or somewhere in the midwest in a $800/2BR apartment, the fun will be even more)Well, that's the bad part. Now to the good parts even though they may seem a bit vague :)Its home and I feel more 'alive' here. The food somehow tastes better. There is a notional sense of freedom (like zipping on the expressway at midnight without worrying about a cop car on your back)

Do Mexicans vacation in the United States of America?

LOL!!!This is a funny question, isn’t it? I think most of the US folks think we go to the U.S.A only illegally and to work as maidens/gardeners.I am a Mexican (middle class) and my family and I, we used to travel 3 - 5 times to the U.S.A per year, mostly for shopping, but also for vacation, we got to visit several cities in different States of the U.S.A and of course the amusement parks on our way (Disney, Universal, Sea world, Journey to the Holy Land, etc). That has changed a lot, even though all of us in our family, we have a Visa, we do not feel like we do want to go to the U.S.A unless really necessary. When your actual POTUS took over the presidency, it seems like all the semi-hidden hard feelings and xenophobia were free to be expressed. We hardly experienced any discrimination on our past trips, but two Months ago, my husband had to travel to Japan and his flight had a connection in Houston, when reviewing his papers, the airport agent asked him “Why did you have to stop in my Country to fly to Japan, doesn’t have your Country direct flights?”. What would happen if some Mexican agent would ask that very RUDE question to an US citizen?. You may see Mexico as a third world, poor, undeveloped Country (thanks to the Media!) but, some fresh news for you; Mexico is the 13th largest economy (out of 211) in the world, has the largest proven silver reserves in the world, sustainable manufacturing growing and part of the so-called “trillion-dollar Club”, we do have problems, the biggest is called “corruption” because of this, the salaries are low, keeping lots of hard-working families with few chances to get a decent income, leaving drug lords to act as they please in so many areas of the Country. But, still, they are thousands of families that can afford to have vacation out of the Country, we got pride on being what we are and we would never expose our children to face any kind of discrimination. So, the short answer, YES, we do travel to the US (we are soooo family-oriented, therefore; We love to travel as family!) but with such ignorant, xenophobic, clown POTUS that the US has (and his followers) we are not willing to do it anymore.
