I Have Dream Its Like The Hungry Games That Movie But

I had a dream I was in the Hunger Games. What does it mean?

Well like every dream it can mean lots of things. The connection to the hunger games means that you were thinking about it either subconsciously or consciously before you fell asleep. That's the easy part.

As for the details, these are always harder. You and Gracie being together could mean that you enjoy spending time with her, or that you feel like she's always there for you. The fact that you feel very safe while others around you die could mean that you feel safe, either socially or physically. The tree could symbolise your home, or your family, something secure in your life. The fact that you die could mean that you fear losing this secure factor in your life. And the sitting in the cinema and Gracie not talking to you about it could mean that you feel you had a better connection to the movie than other people, which ironically a lot of people feel with movies such as the hunger games.

Remember that these are just theories, but your dream could mean something along these lines :)

I had a dream I was in the hunger games?

I ain't never seen The Hunger Game, but what I do know is that dreams are the mind's way of taking a dump. Dreams don't mean $hit. When I was 6 I dreamed I fell into my big brother's butthole.... But as an aside I encourage you to research Lucid Dreaming... I love it.

Who is your dream cast for the Hunger Games movie?

I love/adore the books. I just want to know who you think should play the characters we hear about more often in the books. Please, include links to any pictures you want. Easy ten points.
Katniss Everdeen- Ellen Page or Jodelle Ferland.
Peeta Mellark- Alex Pettyfur.
Prim Everdeen- Elle Fanning?
Katniss & Prim's Mom- I have no clue right now.
Gale- Gaspard Ulliel
Haymitch Abernathy - Jack Nicholson or Robert Downey Jr. Really any person who's capable of being despicable, depraved and helpful at the same time
Flavius - Adam Lambert would be funny, and he wouldn't object to the makeup . . . .
Octavia - if we make her skin green, Queen Latifah would be good.
Cinna - Hugh Dancy would be good - someone with the looks and mannerisms of Cinna would be tough to find.

What would be your dream cast for The Hunger Games movies?

President SnowA smart and manipulative person, President Snow is a really challenging role to play, but if played right gives a lot to the story.

How to get over the hunger games?

AHA! I AM NOT ALONE :D

No way! I read them in two days as well! But then I realised I missed out on some things and had to go read them again more slowly...
Yeah, I know it drove me completely crazy. Read the series countless times. Saw the movie twice. I'm hoping going back to school will be a bit of a distraction. But you know, I went through the same thing with Harry Potter and I got over it quickly enough. I think I'll buy some posters of the Hunger Games though...you know...not because Josh Hutcherson is in it or anything...*cough*.

I wrote a few different Epilogues for it and also wrote a bit to fill the gap between the final chapter and the Epilogue. Read some fan fiction (fanfiction.net), watched interviews with the cast and read reviews and all was good. I'm obsessed, but I'm sure I'll get over it soon enough. Probably find another series to obsess over. Oh, the joys of being a teenager :)

What do my reoccurring dreams of being in the Hunger Games mean?

To dream that you are in a fight, indicates inner turmoil. Some aspect of yourself is in conflict with another aspect of yourself. Perhaps an unresolved or unacknowledged part is fighting for its right to be heard. It may also parallel a fight or struggle that you are going through in your waking life. If you are fighting to the death, then it refers to your refusal to acknowledge some waking conflict or inner turmoil. You are unwilling to change your old attitudes and habits.

What does a dream mean if you are at a Hunger Games-like music festival and everyone is trying to track and kill you?

The mind uses various sleep stages to sort and process that day’s mental activity and experience, and reboot for the next day’s experience. The sorting effort will allow learning of import to integrate into memory, and random or completed experiences to be vented. One of the mistakes often made in dream analysis is that of attaching prophetic meaning to venting dreams, thereby preventing completion of the processing. This recycling keeps the mental trashbin from being completely emptied, and can contribute to mental overwhelm and a reduction in cognitive function the following day. In your case, your mind was venting a fear associated with something you percieved as a threat against you. You can now perhaps recognize the real life situation that created your fear, and let go of any notion that hunger games are in your future.

What should we think of Gale at the end of the Hunger Games series? His actions during the book raise a lot of moral issues.

Great responses.  I'd like to add my two cents. Gale was a good guy, no question.  He loved Katniss unconditionally, as Peeta did, but showed it a different way than Peeta.  If Gale had changed so much, then I don't think he would have said he was going with Katniss no matter what, when he confronted her about her going after Snow.   He couldn't see her in the hospital because of the guilt he felt.   It broke my heart that his last words to her were 'shoot straight' (like when they used to hunt together) and then touches her cheek and leaves and she can't say anything so she'll live with the pain.   In my mind Gale made the hard choice.  He walked away from the thing he loved most in the world, the thing he would have died for, so he wouldn't cause her anymore pain.   My feeling is that at the end of Mockingjay, Gale is the one Katniss really loved.  Not that she doesn't love Peeta (and very much)  but I'm talking about that true, deep down, makes you hurt love.  But because of all circumstances beyond their control and that bomb (God, hate the bomb, feel like it was too convenient of a way to get Gale out of the picture and not forcing Katniss to have to make a real choice), they couldn never be together. What led me to this conclusion (well, there were a lot of things) was when she said that she would live with the pain (of losing him) after the bomb conversation .  I don't recall her ever saying anything so strong when it came to Peeta.    But the big one for me was at the end of book, where Katniss is in the woods and thinking about Gale, she mentions him kissing other lips in District 2.   I don't see this as a throw away comment like others do. To me it means the thought of him kissing another girl still hurts Katniss, like it did when she was imagining him kissing someone else if he would have been part of the Games.  That phantom girl.  And that even though it's now impossible for them to be together, Gale was still the 'real' love of her life.   Peeta is the love she needs to survive. As I side note, I didn't get the dandelion line.  I mean I got it, I just don't agree with it.   The war of was over, the fire and rage would have subsided but because Susan Collins copped out and never had Katniss make the hard choice between the two, we'll be wondering 'what if'.

What does Ally mean in the hunger games?

An ally is someone you team up with....in the case of the Hunger Games you can team up with other tributes (players, contenders) and you became an ally to each other. Alliances are sometimes formed in the Games. Sometimes, the strong ones form an alliance to.....uhm....'hurt'....another tribute. Then, once the weak has been taken out, the alliance is broken and it is easier for them to take on one another. It is a common strategy for Careers (tributes who planned on the Games their whole lives in order for them to surely win). And that is not always the best strategy.
Katniss and Rue being an ally means their going take out the Careers and plan on something else...like doing something about the Games.......it would be like that....only if the 'thing' never happened.........

You see, i really don't want to spoil the story to anybody who haven't read the book. Do you know that there a movie based on the book?....of course you do......i suggest you should read the books NOW if you're going to see the movie. better yet, read it now before even watching the movie trailer....
