I Have Four Wisdom Tooth Should I Unplug Tooth

Can I pull out my wisdom tooth myself?

I know that you cannot pull it out yourself. You can seriously injure yourself and wisdom teeth are not like the rest of your teeth..although don't pull out any teeth yourself. Just bite the cost of a dentist and allow them to do their job. If you are worried about cost then their are dental schools and dental programs that can assist you.

Can you have more than 4 wisdom teeth?

Hypererdontia is an oral condition where you have an excess number of teeth. The additional teeth are referred to as supernumerary teeth.Supernumerary teeth can occur in any part of the dental arch but the most common supernumerary teeth are permanent upper front teeth. After these, upper and lower fourth molars are the next most common supernumerary teeth. These generally appear as extra impacted wisdom teeth.

Is it wise to have all four wisdom teeth extracted at the same time?

Not a bad idea at all. But preferably shall be done under a general anaesthetic which means the patient is put to sleep for the procedure. That is the best way to do it.Another option is when the patient is sedated. Which means the patient is awake but not too much anxious and forgets most of what happened later on. It's like having a couple of drinks too many. It's not my favorite idea for all 4 wisdom teeth. Reason being patient can be a bit un cooperative. You can have a root canal treatment done under sedation but all four wisdom teeth is a different ball game all together. But to be honest also depends on the level of difficulty of those extractions which can be assessed by the dentist preoperativeli.Another myth that worries patients is that if they have all 4 wisdom teeth extracted at the same time they might loose control of their tongue which may fall back into their throat. Like I said it's a myth. The nerve that's responsible for moving the tongue (hypoglissal) is never Anesthatised. Only the nerve responsible for sensation (lingual nerve)is numbed up.Patients also worry about having too much swelling that may block their airway. Is there swelling after the procedure? Yes. A lot. Does is cause any airway risk. No. And it will take atleast 5–7 days for the swelling to settle. In my opinion better to get it over and done with in one go and that too under a general anesthetic rather than 4 separate painful sittings with 4 separate post op recoveries.

Should I get my wisdom teeth out if they are not bothering me?

It depends. Although they may not be bothering you now, there are several reasons to have them removed before an actual problem crops up. Here is what you must consider with your doctor before you decide on what to do about your wisdom teeth:Are they currently causing soft tissue irritation or have a cavity? It may not bother you now, but it can become a problem later on.Can you effectively keep them clean? Lack of complete eruption of the teeth into the mouth can create pockets of tissue that collect bacteria around your wisdom teeth. Also their location in the back of your mouth can make them difficult to clean. It is very important that you are able to fully clean your wisdom teeth (and the rest of your teeth) because infections involving wisdom teeth are a leading cause of multi-space infections that spread to areas around your head and neck. Are they in proper occlusion and is there room for them? Due to their location and the age at which they grow into the mouth, often times there is not enough room for wisdom teeth in the mouth and they may grow into  place where they are interfering with the normal function of your jaws. This interference can create pain in the TMJ (the joint of your jaws) down the road.Is there an opposing tooth contacting your wisdom teeth when you bite down? Not everyone has all 4 of their wisdom teeth. Many times wisdom teeth grow into the mouth without a tooth in the opposite dental arch to come in contact with during biting. This may not seem like a problem; however, without that feedback a tooth can supererupt (grow higher than surrounding teeth) and cause occlusal interferences, and rub against soft tissue causing irritation. Is it impacted? Depending on the type and severity of impaction, this can create soft tissue pockets as before and also push on the roots of your other good teeth causing resorption (the root disintegrates). A lot of times impacted teeth can just be left alone, but it really depends on what the impacted tooth is doing.Everyone can identify a problem when there are active symptoms. However, if there are signs that a major problem is coming down the road, why wait? Another reason to decide sooner rather than later, is that the bone around your teeth will mature with age and can make  wisdom teeth more difficult to remove as you get older.

Wisdom teeth removal?

i am getting my four wisdom teeth removed next week.
what should i expect?
what should i eat afterwards?
is the pain really as bad as everybody says?
how long does it take for recovery?

Where does wisdom teeth grow?

In the very back of your mouth, behind the rest of the molars.

I had all four wisdom teeth romoved five days ago. Why haven't I pooped since the day before I got them out?

You aren't pooping because you are either not eating enough fibre or because your body is absorbing all the food you are eating, or more likely, due to both.

You need to eat more fibrous food (weetabix, oatmeal, grain, oats, porridge) and incorporate all the food groups into your diet. You need to eat foods containing fat (cheese is good), foods containing protein (meat, eggs, fish), foods containing sugar (fruit) and foods containing vitamins and minerals (vegatables, seeds, berries, fruit juice) as well as ensuring you drink plenty of water (about 2 litres a day is good, sip regularly, don't drink large amounts at once).
It is common to have digestive abnormalites after surgeries, particularly ones in and around your mouth as often, a bad taste develops and your appetite diminishes, but you shouldn't ignore them. You aren't eating enough food to be functioning normally, you need to eat more.
If you go a week without pooping, see your doctor, but I would advise you see one anyway because it is your health, nobody else is going to take care of it for you. Don't be embarrased because its about poo, doctors have seen it all before.
You poo to get rid of excess foodstuffs and non essential material you have ingested. If you are only eating small amounts, your body is not going to want to get rid of anything, so that you don't die. But you need to have movement of your bowels or you will start to have pain and it could lead to illness. Currently, you're not at any real risk of that happening, it hasn't been long enough. But there is potential for you to rapidly deteriorate if you dont do something about it. It is not unavoidable, small changes to your diet can rectify all that is wrong.
See your doctor, don't ask questions concerning your health online and certainly dont blindly follow advice unless its from professional people.
You have to see a doctor ASAP because of your rapid weight loss. Literally, now!

Can an extracted wisdom tooth regenerate? I had all mine pulled out and I have a tooth with one root where the old wisdom tooth was pulled.

Teeth do not regenerate. If it isn't a residual root that broke off from your wisdom tooth extraction, then it's likely a supernumerary tooth - meaning an extra tooth (a fourth molar) behind your wisdom tooth (the third molar). With the wisdom tooth out of the way, that tooth can now erupt out. It's likely the extra tooth if you can feel the crown of the tooth. Supernumerary teeth are most frequently seen behind the top front teeth, then behind wisdom teeth (fourth or more molars), and occasionally beneath lower premolars is sometimes seen.
