I Have Galaxy S4 Cdma How I Use My Fone With Gsm Sim In Spain

I just put my old SIM card in my new iPhone and it works fine, but AT&T is telling me that I need to use the new one that came with the new iPhone, why?

I believe that your IPhone 5 works well on 3 G networks and your new IPhone 6 works best on 4 G networks. So the old SIM card may work fine in the new phone but is unable to communicate or detect WiFi or to activate Bluetooth .Do you use these functions or services? WiFi is very useful to you when you need to access the internet. Some places provide free access to the internet, mainly in Malls, or food and beverage providers. The new SIM card that came with the new phone, has been configured, such that you will be able to utilize the full functions of your phone. Your phone number is attached to your new phone through the New SIM card. You can Google IPhone 6 for details of the phone. So, do worry about charges or the government spying on you, unless you are a Person of Interest, being seek by the CIA, FBI, NSA or the Homeland Security.Phone charges were agreed by yourself when you sign up or when you bought the IPhone 6.That being said, charges incurred by your usage of your IPhone for downloading of data or making Long Distance calls are chargeable by the Service provider or phone companies.Hope the above explanation has been useful to you.

Can i transfer a page plus phone to straight talk? & what size sim does a galaxy s3 use?

Is the phone you are looking to buy unlocked...meaning, is it out of a contract? Straight Talk requires that a phone be unlocked in order for one of their SIM cards to work properly.

The good news is that the Samsung Galaxy s3 is a GSM phone, which is also a Straight Talk requirement.

I would, however, still call Straight Talk customer support just in case to confirm that it will work. Would hate to have you buy a phone that ultimately won't work! (Here's their phone number: (855) 222-2355)

Will a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 work in Europe?

Yes it will your phone has a lot less bands than a Note 4 sold in Europe but it still has common bands that will give you coverage so it will work.Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (USA)

Do straight talk phone come with sim card? or they dont use sim card?

Some of the phones are CDMA and some are GSM.

here is a list of them http://wontek.com/prepaid-reviews/straig...

The models that end with C are cdma and the ones that end with G are GSM.

And all the Nokia phones are GSM.

Hope that helps :)

Which Indian phones support international SIM cards?

Many GSM phones support three bands (900/1,800/1,900 MHz or 850/1,800/1,900 MHz) or four bands (850/900/1,800/1,900 MHz), and are usually referred to as tri-band and quad-band phones, or world phones; with such a phone one can travel internationally and use the same handset. This portability is not as extensive with IS-95 phones, however, as IS-95 networks do not exist in most of Europe.Mobile networks based on different standards may use the same frequency range; for example, AMPS, D-AMPS, N-AMPS and IS-95 all use the 800 MHz frequency band. Moreover, one can find both AMPS and IS-95 networks in use on the same frequency in the same area that do not interfere with each other. This is achieved by the use of different channels to carry data. The actual frequency used by a particular phone can vary from place to place, depending on the settings of the carrier's base station.2G capabilitiesGSM 850, GSM 19003G capabilitiesUMTS 850, UMTS 1900, UMTS 1700, UMTS 21004G capabilitiesLTE 700, LTE 800, LTE 1700, LTE 1900, LTE 2100, LTE WCS 2300 (30), LTE 2500 and 2600 if your handset got these frequencies you can use it in any part of the world. To know the frequcies please check your handet make and model in gsm arena website.Hope this helps..Thank you for reading !

What is a Global Ready phone?

A Global Ready phone on Verizon has both a CDMA antenna as well as a GSM antenna. Most of the world uses GSM technology. You still need to contact Verizon Wireless and let them know that you would be traveling overseas. Most of Verizons newer smartphones are global devices. Non global ready phones will only work in the US on Verizons CDMA network.

Do jitterbug phone have a sim card?

Unfortunately, no. The Jitterbug branded phones are CDMA (same technology as Verizon and Sprint), and as such, they do not have provisions for a SIM card.

Unlocking Verizon iPhone to work with GCI sim card? HELP PLEASE!!?

Verizon is a service provider that uses the CDMA technology for thier network in the USA.
Sim cards are mostly used by GSM carriers (AT&T USA/ T-Mobile USA/ Rogers CA/ Orange UK) and not CDMA carrier such as Verizon, in the USA there are many CDMA carriers but most of the carriers worldwide are GSM / UMTS (used with sim cards).

The SIM card from Verizon found inside of your mobile device is there only for one things - to connect to the GSM network when used as "overseas" in Europe / world.
In other words: When you activate a "overseas plan" Verizon needs to use other carrier's networks near your location to get signal and provide you with thier services so the SIM card is used to cover this issue where there is no CDMA verizon network available.

You need to unlock your iphone to make it work with other GSM sim cards, unlocking the "SIM lock" will turn your phone to a "world phone - SIM free" that can be used with more carriers.

Do u.s. cell phones work in the Ukraine ...need to know V.P...help?

Depends on where yo got your phone.

TMobile, AT&T, and Cellular One/Unicell all work on GSM, as do a few others. Their phones will work in Ukraine. (See options below).

Verizon and Alltel, and other CDMA carrier phones will NOT work in Ukraine.

If you have a GSM phone, you have the following options, as long as your phone is tri-mode or quad-band. Both of these support the necessary frequencies for Ukraine:

1. AT&T and TMobile have roaming on the Ukrainian networks. You would need to call your mobile phone provider, and turn on international roaming. The call fee for call depends on which carrier you have, but range between $0.95 and $4 per minute.

2. Call your provider and ask to have your phone unlocked. If you have had service with them for more than 90 days, on a contract, they will give you an unlock code free. That will allow you to purchase a Ukrainian SIM card for your phone. Kyivstar and UMC/MTS have plans that allow you to call back to the USA for roughly $1.50 a minute.

3. You can purchase an unlock code from someone online, if you can't get one from your mobile provider. eBay is frought with companies that will generate an unlock code for you, depending on what phone you have.

4. Purchase an unlocked phone online. There are several retailers, but I prefer 220 Electronics in Chicago (http://www.220-electronics.com/gsm/gsmor... )

I personally take my AT&T phone there (unlocked), swap to a UMC/MTS sim card, and use a callback service to call the USA (such as available on http://phonecards.waytorussia.net ).

What if I purchase an iPhone from abroad and use in my country?

Let me keep this answer dead simplePros-Cheap price (you will get the iPhone in USA for about 10,000–15,000 INR cheaper.Cons-You will not be covered under warranty for iPhones’ warranty is restricted to its country of purchase. You will be getting the standard US charger, not the indian unit. There would be no difference in power output but you would have to purchase a converter or an indian power adapter (which retails for about 1500INR).That’s it. Personally, I believe it is a pretty decent deal to get it from the United States. No iPhone dies randomly on its own unless it is damaged physically or due to liquids, and apple warranty does not cover liquid or physical damage.P.S. If you are getting the carrier unlocked version then you will NOT face any issue regarding networks, sims, et cetera. Now, regarding the models. Please do not get the carrier locked ones. You can go for any other model (either GSM or CDMA) .
