I'm in my fresh year of engineering college,so I feel that I can guide u well…….If u r expecting 100 then u cannot pave ur way through big colleges…such as VJTI ,SPCE ,KJSomaiya etc.U can apply through quota or switch on to colleges such as:1.Vartak(Renowned for instrumentation and mechanical engineering.)2.Thakur(EXTC might happen.)3.Francis(IT or EXTC.)These are some good colleges for a 100 score.Or else try filling institute level forms for some colleges,might be u get a seat and fit in.
How do I calculate kcet eng marks?
For KCET ranking, 50% of your board marks out of Physics + Chemistry + Maths is considered, i.e If you have scored 70+60+80 = 210/300 i.e 70%, then your 50% of board marks will be 70/2 =35%, Balance 50% is taken from your KCET marks of physics, chemistry and maths and then added with this 35% i.e in case you have scored in Phy + chem + maths in KCET like 35+40+45=120/180 i.e 66.7%, then 50% of this 66.7/2 = 33.33% is considered. Then your ranking is calculated based on your total average score = 35%+33.33%= 68.3%.Now the KCET ranking will be given based on how your friends have performed in this KCET 2016, as per last year KCET 2015 ,statistics this 68.3% would have got around 13,100 rank.Like this the KCET engg marks are calculated.

Which board will be the best for 11th-12th: CBSE or State?
It really depends on you. If you can memorize stuff very well choose state board. If you cannot do so choose cbse. There are several set backs for cbse too. It is difficult when compared to state board. Preparing only for cbse board is not enough and it will not fetch you anything. You have to prepare for jee as well. If you can manage that choose cbse. Also the cut off is a problem. Students from state board have really very high cut off when compared to cbse students. So you'll have to apply for autonomous colleges whose fee structure is a pretty high. If you are an outstanding student go with cbse definitely. You can easily make it to IIT or NIT. If not think well and discuss with your parents. I am a cbse student myself so all this is based on experience. I think your exams are fast approaching. So prepare for that first. You'll have a lot of time to think over it after completing your exams. All the best for your future :D

How much do I have to score in MHT CET 2017 to get admitted into COEP, ICT, or VJTI?
The previous year cutoff for the above colleges were:VJTICS - 187IT - 176Extc- 154Mech- 1502. ICTIt had some cut off of 174 marks for chemical engineering.3. COEPCS - 185IT - 173Sry I have no idea about other branches of Coep. But you can safely assume cut off just 2–3 marks more or less of that of Vjti.These are the cutoff for the 5 th CAP round. According to me the cutoff marks of above colleges for mhcet 2017 would be around 2–5 marks more . The cutoff would increase because now they consider that students have 2 years for preparation unlike 2016 where announcement of mhcet was late. Or the paper would be little bit tricky compared to last year( not in any case close to mains level, so relax :) ).But it would be more competitive than 2016, that's for sure.However you should aim to get atleast 180 for securing a good branch in the above mentioned colleges.Please choose branch wisely, don't purely go for the brand name.All the best for mhcet 2017!!Thanks
