I Have Had A Mild Cough For 3 Weeks

Cough that has lasted 3 weeks?

It started as a sore throat then I started coughing like is cough so much I couldn't go to work or school and it'd keep me up all night. I went to the doctor a week and a half in and he prescribed me antibiotics, which did not help at all so I got a steroid inhaler (which has helped my awful coughs in the past) but I have noticed no progression towards getting better still. I cough so much until I either make my nose bleed or I throw up. I have also found myself gasping for air and can't even get enough to use an inhaler. What is this and what should I do? Please help!

I've had a cough for 2-3 weeks?

At this late stage of infection I'm doubting that anything I offer up will actually solve your crisis,
after two weeks of letting it grow you -must- visit a practician.. There is no avoiding antibiotics at this point, get over it.

I will post an alternative, so even if you don't heed my warning you'll not go in unarmed.
Here's a link to a very informative article I've written recently, it may help you.

There are no promises I can make this late in the game, so, good-luck to you.

I’ve had a cough for 2 weeks and I have a stuffy nose. How do I make this go away? (No medicine helps me)

A common head cold typically goes away on its own in 10 to 14 days.Since you have had a stuffy nose and cough for 14 days, and I’m assuming you are not improving, there are a couple of possibilities:Allergies - allergies can cause nasal congestion and the resulting fluids can also drain down the throat, causing a chronic cough. You may be developing bronchitis. While the common cold is also known as a “head cold” because the symptoms are upper respiratory (stuffy nose, headache, sore throat, ear fullness), bronchitis is a lower respiratory infection involving the lungs. If you feel some congestion or gunk in your chest, you likely have bronchitis. Bronchitis is also caused by a virus, like the common cold, but the danger is bronchitis can progress to pneumonia. If you have had these symptoms for 2 weeks without any improvement, then you should be checked out by a healthcare provider. You should be able to easily see one at an Urgent Care facility or in the USA, you can find an FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) which will see anyone, regardless of insurance status and they also have sliding scale payment for low income people who don’t have health insurance.Find a Health CenterIn the meantime, for symptom relief:Nasal congestion:Antihistamine like Claritin (loratadine), Allegra, Xyzal, etc.Oral decongestent like Sudafed (note: these can increase heart rate, so use with caution if you have hypertension or a heart condition, etc)Nasal irrigation with a neti pot or similar deviceSore throat:Warm salt water garglesCepacol or Chloraseptic numb the throatIce chips, ice cream may also soothe and numb the throatTylenol or an NSAID like ibuprofen or naproxen (Aleve)Cough:Try Robitussin to control cough if you have a dry cough. If you are coughing up mucus, you don’t want to stop coughing completely. You can use something like Mucinex DM which has a cough suppressant and guaifensin (loosens up mucus to make it easier to cough up), so you can cough up mucus without coughing your head off.AND MOST IMPORTANT:REST and lots of fluids, especially warm beverages like herbal teas and soups. Honestly, the best thing you can do is REST as in force yourself to sleep as much as possible for 2–3 days. Give your body a chance to heal itself.Note: This is not meant to be medical advice. It is best to always check with your healthcare provider before taking any medications.

Why can’t I get rid of my cold after 3 weeks?

Apart from seeing a doctor you might want to consider this:If you are continuing to eat dairy and flour products, you are feeding your cold. If you continue to feed the cold why would the cold germs pack up and leave? If you continue to feed your cold, your immune system including all the white blood cells involved are being overwhelmed by a you providing a constant food source for your cold. How dumb is that?Your body thinks you are trying to commit suicide.

Been having mild cough for 6 weeks with a variation of mucus amount. Is it ok to work out?

While exercising your breathing patterns are very important because it determines your heart rate during exercise. According to scholarly studies exercising in a low to moderate training will actually suppressed the infection in your body while strenuous exercise increases mortality and morbidity rates. Therefore,it determines rather or not If the exercise is too strenuous.

I've had the same bad sore throat and cough for the last 3 weeks. Should I be worried?

It is likely an infection although only your doctor can be certain. A very powerful natural antibiotic is Umcka drops taken at double stated dose and four times a day for 10 days. Another powerful natural antibiotic is St.Francis Herb Farm Usnea combo for chest and throat infections. Take stated dose but four times a day.

I have been coughing for a month...?

My diet is strictly a balanced serving of vegetables, fruits and meats. I exercise every day for at least 1 hour. I remember I took a road trip with my family who were all sick and the windows were up and I started coughing on my way back home. But to be coughing for a month already with exercise and diet is a bit strange to me, this has never happened before! When I cough, I cough up phlegm which is yellow, my chest is starting to hurt as if I'm getting a heart burn (I never had heart burns before). The other day I felt like my stomach was going to shoot out of me because of coughing so much. I have no fever, my throat feels perfectly fine but my lungs itch at certain times.

Been coughing for 3 weeks now, and it's not going away.?

You could have pneumonia, bronchities, a chest cold, the flu or CHRONIC COUGH. You need to get it checked out, try a free clinic in your area if you have to. I posted some links that explain the chronic cough and the second link has an option you could take for it. Good luck and get well soon.
