Is it legal, for any employer to seize original certificates and force you to work for a particular period (though without signing a bond) in India?
As a legal point of view, he has no right to seize original certificate unless the company’s policy says so. The employer can not keep original document without consent of owner of that document. Some employers do keep original documents as security against an employee absconding. However, in that case the employee is at the mercy of the employer when he wants to leave. It is advisable to take Proper acknowledgment from them if they want to keep the documents for verification. The acknowledgment should be on letterhead of the company under the original seal and signature by hand of the competent employer of the company preferably the authority that has signed appointment letter, stating the intent, purpose, reason for retaining original documents, and period for which these are to be retained. An employer cannot force you to work in the company without your consent.
One of my friend has lost his FD receipt, now he wants to liquidate the deposit as it is matured. What should he do?
Is it your friend or is it you who has lost the FD receipt? I just have a feeling it’s you who has lost the FD receipt. Anyway nothing to worry. It should not be a major problem. I think rules vary from bank to bank. Does your friend have a photocopy of the receipt? or does he atleast have a picture of the FD receipt in his smartphone? Contact the bank immediately. They will suggest the solution based on their bank policies n procedures. Good luck! Tell your friend to be more careful next time.
~What qualification do you need to teach Martial arts?
Actually, in the UK you do have to be registered and certified to teach martial arts but some have gotten away with it for years without doing so. The question you want to ask yourself is will you do it the proper way or just be another smuck out there that did the wrong way? Also the answer given about the Sensei title needs to be adhered to and I agree that it is stupid for people to "assume" that just because you have a black belt you are a Sensei...that is a complete falsehood.
CRB checks - What do you think about them?
I've got 7 active CRB checks at present, because I work for several employers and do voluntary work. Each one carries a cost. Having to have them has cost me thousands in lost income. Whether you have one or not - what are your opinions? Are they a sledge hammer to crack a nut - and a very ineffective one at that - or are they useful and good value for money to the tax-payer (who has paid millions and millions so far for them). Given that we are talking about 0.01% - or a ten thousandth of the population at most who have been found to be offenders - and of those, hardly any who worked with children or vulnerable adults?

Is norbreck castle hotel job offers thru online are legitimate?
Hi. I'm a little bit confused here coz i've tried to register and apply my cv on the website in London jobs, and I've got an email coming from highfield house hotel, to which Ive applied my cv with, saying there's no available positions and they're sorry.. so they forwarded my cv to norbreck castle as they said that this hotel is in need of employees right now. After a day, the Norbreck castle hotel emailed me that my cv's being considered and i have to answer few interview questions thru email. It's about 10 questions and I've answered it once Ive read it. After a day, they've responded that I should fill up the documents and put my signature on it. It's like a personal profile and a hotel terms and conditons documents. So i answered, signed and scanned it back to them. After 2 days, they emailed me, congratulating me that Im one of those successful applicants. Together with the email are th 4 documents attached. Stating my monthly salary which is 4000 pounds with annual pay of about 1000 pounds and etc. theyve sent me a contract with a dispatch number on it. by the way my job Ive applied is a receptionist. Stated in the email is that my plane ticket is free, also the lodging and food. All i have to do is pay for visa assistance or visa application about 200 pounds thru western union or british bank account. the account number's not stated, only the email addresses and one contact number only. Ive searched for this patrick benedict online and i found some applicant also asking for help questioning is patrick benedict a legitimate director or if this job offer a scam or not? All answered that this is scam. I just wonder, the one i applied with is the highfield house thru online job hunt and theyve just forwarded my cv in that norbreck castle, with this kind of linkage between them, is highfiled hotel that ive first applied with is a scam also? knowing that theyve said that theyre sorry for there are no availbale positions for me now and they have to forward my resume to norbreck? I mean 2 scammers helping out each other??? help! I got this highfield thru london jobs website... please help.. i wanted to call norbreck HR department to confirm my employment but i dont know the number of the hotel management. I hope someone can help me with this mess.
