I Have Lots Of Red Bumps On My Legs

Red bumps on my legs?

I have this too. It's so annoying and I'm super self conscious about it...it is slightly on the back of my arms and legs. It's called keratosis or "chicken skin". Here is a site with more information: http://www.helpforkp.com/

I never have gone to the doctor for it since I don't have health insurance yet, but here are some things I did to make it better and not appear so red/bumpy.
I make it a point to shave OFTEN. Seriously almost every other day I go over my legs with a razor. I also shave the backs of my arms since I have tattoos and have darker hair, so sometimes you can see little fuzzies on them and I hate it, haha. It helps a LOT. I also exfoliate my skin with a moisturizing body wash that has those little exfoliating beads in it with a puff thing. Sometimes I even use St. Ive's apricot scrub if they get reaaallly bad and that helps. Just lots and lots of exfoliating!
Then after showers, when I wake up in the morning and get dressed and before I go to bed I use Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy Plus Intensive Repair lotion. Seriously after a few days using it I saw a HUGE difference. I love love love the stuff! It also makes my tattoos look nice, rich, and bright. It's a little sticky feeling at first so don't be too generous with it.

I knows it's a TON of work to maintain your skin, but it seems to really keep it at bay. Also, if you look around on the link it shows some treatment options/products that help! Hope this makes your day and you can get it cleared up! : )

What are the red bumps on my legs?

To me, it sound like thigh chaffing from your legs rubbing into each other. It happens to people that run a lot and have friction between their legs. Mainly happens with people that don’t have a gap between their legs or larger thighs in general. This happens a lot with people that are short. This happened to me, and I would suggest trying Anti-monkey butt baby powder formula. I use it every time I’m going on a long run, and now I don’t have a problem at all. They have a lady version for sensitive skin, the original version for men, and even a baby formula for diaper rashes. And they all work. I used it on my newborn and so does my wife when she runs with me. A couple that runs together stays together! :) Try this product at Anti Monkey Butt. If this doesn’t help, then I suggest you to go see a doctor. Good luck with your rash.

Why do I have red bumps on my bottom and upper legs? It looks like acne and I haven't been able to get rid of it for years. It looks really bad.

I'm not a doctor and you should go see a dermatologist. With that said it could be Impetigo or Keratosis pilaris. Impetigois a very contagious skin condition that typically affects babies and toddlers due to diaper irritation, or irritation due to bacterial infection of the face, neck, and hands of infants. Two types of bacteria cause Impetigo—streptococcus aureus and staphylococcus pyogenes—caused by a skin injury, insect or animal bite. And although it rarely affects adults, Impetigo can spread via skin-to-skin or bedding to skin contact (via contact with an infected person).Keratosis pilaris is a condition that causes rough patches and small, acne-like bumps on the skin. This develops when the skin produces too much of a protein called keratin, which can block hair follicles and cause bumps to develop. The bumps are usually on the arms, thighs, cheeks, and buttocks. They're white, sometimes red, and typically don't hurt or itch. The condition isn't often serious and usually disappears by age 30. Medicated creams may help skin appearance.Ultimately it can be anything, go see a doctor or Dermatologist. They are trained in medicine and skin conditions and can help you better than a forum

Got my Leg Cast off and I have red bumps all over my ankle and lower leg?

I recently had surgery on my foot and was in a splint for 2 weeks. Then the doctor put me in a plaster cast, but after only 3 days it was severely itchy and I had the cast removed after having it on for a week and 2 days. When they removed the cast my lower leg was COVERED in red bumps that were hard and shiny and very very itchy. My leg was swollen and red and my skin was hard. It has been almost a week since the cast was taken off and I have seen very little improvement despite taking benadryl and using hydrocortizone cream.
Does anyone know what is wrong with me?? Why is my skin so itchy?? How do I make it go away?

How can I get rid of red pimple-like bumps on my legs?

Papaya fruit has natural enzymes that, when mashed and made into a paste, effectively soothe acne. Oatmeal mixed with honey creates an exfoliating scrub, and the honey has antibacterial properties that help to clear acne from the skin. Plain honey dabbed onto pimples reduces inflammation and helps clear the skin. Cotton balls dipped in a mix of apple cider vinegar and water clear acne. Lemon juice has antiseptic and antibacterial properties, as does tea tree oil. Both combat the bacteria in and on the skin, which may cause leg acne. Aloe vera calms the skin and reduces the redness caused by acne breakouts on the legs. Tea bags soaked in warm water for two or three minutes, then placed on the legs will also calm the skin and reduce redness.

I have red bumps after putting on lotion?

I shaved my legs this morning and noticed my legs were dry later in the day so I put some lotion on them. And now it's like I have millions of tiny red bumps ALL OVER my legs. They itch a little too but I'm not scratching them. But I know it's not razor burn cause I didn't have any bumps on my legs after I shaved. It was probably about 4-5 hours after I shaved that I put the lotion on. How can I get red of them? QUICK?!?!?!

Why do I have small red bumps on my legs and thighs were my hairs come out, and is there any way to get rid of all the small bumps or redness?

It’s possible that you have keratosis pilaris, but you’d need to see your doctor, possibly a dermatologist to be properly diagnosed.Keratosis pilaris is common and there is no cure, but there are treatments that help to minimize the appearance of the bumps.
