Temporary error: 14 - for several hours I have been getting this message & can not access my email, but my yahoo friends can access theirs?

There are many issues at this time. Many are unable to send, receive, sign in or out, or use any features in the mail. Yahoo has their engineers working on the problems. They hope to have it fixed soon, In the meantime, you can click one of these links to access your mail, it's basic, no frills, but it works. http://us.m.yahoo.com/p/mail or: http://uk.m.yahoo.com/p/mail or: http://id.m.yahoo.com/p/mail I use the "us" link when Yahoo has problems. You may also have a bad cache. Click Tools, Internet options. Delete the cookies, temp files and history. Click Ok and Restart the computer Some are switching to a different browser, firefox,etc.

Hi, Your Yahoo Account MAY have been Hacked, this is happening to people all over the Yahoo network and has been been for months. ANYWAY HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:- You need to contact Yahoo by Email. This can be done by clicking on HELP at the Bottom Right Hand side of the Yahoo Home Page under Horoscopes. Click on Yahoo Mail, or whatever one is best for you, you can also click on the arrows for more options, or type your problem in the Search Help box. Go to the Right hand side of page and click on Contact Customer Care. Click on Category, page will reload for you to click on Sub Category. Make sure you fill in Brief Details of what has Happened, click Enter. Depending on the Category you select and the Sub Category you also select you should then see at the Bottom of the Page for more help Click on EMAIL A SUPPORT AGENT. You may have to click on different ones and try variations. There will then be a Form to fill in. Fill in the form with as much information as you can remember about your security details and your account. Yahoo will then contact you at a Different Email Address that you need to give them. This email address CANNOT be a yahoo email one. You need to give them a different Email Address, it could be one that you already have or you will need to create a new one, Google, Hotmail, etc. You do this by clicking on Email and then click on Register and follow the instructions. They only need this other email address to give you instructions regarding your yahoo account. You will be asked to create a New Password, Best to have one that is very hard to guess for anyone else trying to access your Yahoo Account. I Would Also Strongly advise that you register your Mobile Number/Cell Phone number with Yahoo, Account Settings, that way if your account is hacked a message should come up and they can send a code to your phone for you to then unlock your email account. If you have this error then you are probably flagged as a suspicious account. If you log into another account and try to send email to yourself you may get a bounce back stating that the account is temporarily suspended. Best thing to do is try to get online with yahoo .. the chat team ... they are very good at helping with this and you can not do anything but wait for up to 48hrs for your account to be checked. They can fix the problem right away. The support on this suggests clearing your internet cache which may also be a problem but if you do this and reboot then it is probably that your account is flagged. What is strange is that a lot of times error 14 takes a while to take full affect ... for example - you could start with not being able to attach files and some users will get bounce back but not all the time. I have not been able to view my yahoo calendar from my desktop. I have tried firefox, chrome and IE and the problem still persists for over a week now. Here are some I came across little Googling,1. Try to get rid of cookies Here's how to do it, from Google Groups a. Go to "YOU TUBE" site, b. Click "TOOLS", c. Click "DEVELOPER TOOLS", d. Click "CACHE", e. Click "CLEAR COOKIES FOR DOMAIN" f. Click "YES", g. Close BOTH windows. 2. Give a try with another profile3. Verify if it's an issue with rooted device4. You might need to use good process and cache cleaner software which will remove all junk files in the memory (I use Clean Master on Google play store )Most people on above mentioned forum seem to have solved this issue just by clearing out cookies.Hope this helps!
