I've recently put on a lot of weight and would like to lose some pounds as quick as possible?

U should be able to loose 6 lbs in about a month! You can loose 6 lbs by filling up on a variety of fruits and vegetables and also tuna fish, green beans, water, and finally salads but do not go overboard on the dressings. I did that mistake before! The last resort is Weight watchers! It worked for me and I lost a lot more than 6 lbs. If you have a juicer here is a detox express drink for you

1/2 peel lemon
1 Cucumber (peeled if waxy)
1 medium apple
1 2-inch piece of ginger
2 medium carrots

put the lemon and cucumber through the juicer at low speed. Turn to high and juice the apple, ginger and carrots.

Good luck in your weight loss and I hope I was a help and answered your question

My dog gained a lot of weight after being neutered?

I am pretty sure that neutering a dog will slow its metabolism...weight gain is a common side effect!
As far as his food, I hope he gets the recommended portion and go easy on the treats (most are very fattening).
Ask your vet first, but it might be time for a senior Dog change in food! What are you feeding BTW: A good quality food will aid in your efforts to keep his weight down!
Not to worry, he sounds just normal for a late neutered pet.

I don't blame him for not sharing his food,,,that's a dog thing! :) I also assume he is fed separately from the other 2!

I have avoided exercise for over a year and have put on a lot of weight. I have fear the pain that exercise will bring. How do I find the strength to do my first exercise session?

We are not meant to run on treadmills without a reason. Human brain likes patterns and performs best when patterns change e.g. running in treadmill vs running a trail vs running in a football game. Last one has a random pattern while first 2 are monotonous just the degree is different. A football game is more sustainable of all 3 because by nature it is a hobby and not useless running on a belt. When you exercise, learn to give time to your body and treat it gracefully. If one jump starts to 8mph-8 mins, chances are bright that it will cause pain whereas if one scale 5mph-5 mins to 8 mph-8min on day 10 than body likes it. Add random patterns in between e.g. climb a hill just to check stamina or bike/walk a lot on a random day.Preferably find a hobby that engages mind and body instead of worrying about exercise which needs pushing yourself. Let a hobby pull you out of bed at 5 am in the morning.

Can I put on a lot of weight by having a diet of one litre of honey every day?

You will almost definitely put on weight. You'd also probably develop diabetes pretty quickly, too. Consider that1. A litre of honey is about 4,000 Calories. 2. Honey is only marginally better than pure sugar in that honey contains some small amount of nutrients. For the most part, eating honey and eating pure sugar can be thought of as being equivalent.3. If you ate 4,000 Calories of sugar (say in the form of chocolate bars, or sugar cubes, or whatever), would you expect to gain weight?

My friend has gained a lot of weight! Help?

i have a female friend who is one of my best friends. shes always been active and we used to work out and hang out a lot together. but recently, i've been seeing some changes in her and i'm starting to get really worried. she's been really distant lately; she got a new bf about 4 months ago, so i expected some of that, but not to this level. besides seeming a little down, her weight has completely spiraled out of control. when we used to go running together, she would always end up pushing me farther than i would push myself...she's 5'0 and weighed about 105 then.

well, the past 4-5 months she has put on a LOT of weight. it's to the point where it's very noticable. her face looks really chubby and she's barely recognizable now to be honest. i finally broke down and asked her (given our friendship that's not a weird thing to ask) how much she weighs and she finally told me she's at 137 now! she's gained 32 pounds in a little over 4 months. she talked to me a little about it and told me none of her clothes fit her. even her underwear is too tight. she hates it but just doesn't seem to want to do anything about it.

i saw her a few days ago and i hate to say this about such a close friend but WOW she looks awful. her shirt was riding up the whole time i was there and man has she grown a belly. there's bright red stretch marks all over it too, and her love handles have gotten huge. she has complained to me several times about it and wants to do something, but it seems like every time i try to help she has an excuse. what should i do? how can i help? what do you think? thanks!

Will I put on weight in 2 weeks from over eating?

The scale will go up almost immediately, but is only because of water weight, not actual body mass gain.   If you eat 500 extra calories a day, it will take about a week to gain an actual pound, but if that extra 500 calories a day is Doritos, the sodium will cause a gain of 3-5 lbs, and once you resume maintenance eating, the water weight will be removed within 2-4 days, and you will be 1 pound heavier.   So don't worry if you gain 5 pounds overnight after a cheat, just resume your normal diet, and wait 2-4 days, and then see how much you actually gained. The problem is not usually 1-2 meals, but a sustained excess of calories.. weeks, and months of doing this. Most people gain 3-5 lbs. a year, which isn't that much, until 10 years from now, when you are 40 lbs. heavier than today.   Stop living in fear of cheats, and think more about the awesome food you can eat that is nutritious, and helps fuel your body. Most of us cheat more often when we are depressed from the last cheat. Be " good " 80 % of the time, and don't go crazy the other 20 %. Have a slice of pie, but not the whole pie, have an 8 oz. pop, and not a 2-liter,have a burrito, and not 5 of them.   If you are at a 500 calorie deficit for 6 days, and then have a 500 calorie cheat on Saturday night, you still cut 2500 calories, and will lose around 1/2 a lb a week. That's 26 lbs. in a year, which doesn't sound like much, but is phenomenal. Consistency is more important than how fast you lose. The goal is to limit cheats to as few as possible, and have them smaller than the calories you already cut from the diet, so you still have a deficit. So avoid daily cheats, or 3500 calorie cheats, and you should be fine, even if the scale temporarily looks like you just erased 10 weeks of weight loss.
