Why don't people just get skype instead of texting?
I agree with you, I always prefer skype, but people always ask me if I have kik or some other msging app. I think people should call more often instead of texting/typing though, I miss the days when we all had nokias and motorolas and would call each other instead of just texting. I'd rather listen to a girls sexy voice than a faceless person sending "lol" texts.
How can I find random people to chat with on Skype?
So I just downloaded Skype and I'd like to just randomly chat with some people. I'm in SkypeMe mode, but I don't know how to find other people who are. Every person I click on is offline! How can I find people who are online and want a random chat?
Is Skype dead or are people still Using it?
Not dead yet but almost as good as.It is so unbelievably heavy with bugs in its core functionality that should call for resignations of the heads of the test organisation and engineering (well, I would sack VP of Product for Windows 10 first but that’s a different story).We used Skype at Octoboard a lot, for many years, from its inception, from the year when it was founded. And it was a great service. But it is being overtaken by the rivals.This year we switched completely. Google Hangouts work for conference calls better than Skype, Slack does a better job for business messaging and communication and Telegram is so unbelievably light that it puts MSFT to shame when it comes to chat and one-to-one calls.Skype had its chance. It is 14 years old. Telegram, Slack and Hangouts are 4. Time to call it quits.
How do i stop random people calling me on skype?
I have skype account for three months now and I keep receiving calls from people I don't know and it annoys me .. How can I stop them from calling me ?! Is there a way to have a private account or at least block them ?.. Please help

I just got my mac and i'm trying to get used to skype for mac. On the first day of installation i had a call from someone not on my contact list and they kept calling and i eventually blocked them... later on more and more people started chatting with me and calling me. most of them were like sexbots and just weirdos from really unknown countries. so i got to skype preferences and click privacy, and change it to where only people in my contact list can call, IM, and see my profile pic. IT DIDN'T WORK! I still got calls from people, and some that i blocked could IM me still. Please help! i don't want to make another skype but if i have to i guess i will.
Can Chinese people use Skype?
We can use Skype of course, but we cannot use Line, Google map (App only, but website is ok), Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr etc.BUT NOW, if you use chinese mobile companies’ SIM card outside of China, which means you are not able to grain such upon service at all.
Why do people insist on me adding them to Skype and then when I add them they don't even talk to me ever?
As much as I'd like to answer your question, I don't think it can possibly be answered. I've had random people in the game industry add me (which I'm in), so you would think it's legit, and they have some sort of business proposal they would like to make. Then after a few hours or a day or two, I give them a quick 'hello, how can I help', and they just ignore it. This is when I remove them as a contact.It really is baffling, and I can't explain it, I don't think anyone can explain it.My only guess is perhaps they think Skype is some form of LinkedIn, and they would like to keep you on for the near possible future for some weird reason. But if you're going to do that then, don't damn well ignore me when I say hello.
I don't want to skype everyday?
I don't think you're being rude, I wouldn't want to skype everyday either, that would get annoying and old fast. Once or twice a week is fine, if he wants to everyday it kind of looks desperate on his end. I'm not real into skyping either however some people are but I don't think you're being rude, he should understand that, plus while skyping I get nothing done and I'm not productive at all so things don't get done, so just explain things like that, he should understand and it's not being rude.

Another community is full of elitism where newcomers are often bullied and unwelcomed).Basic internet security tips and etiquette apply:-Don’t share personal and sensitive information. Private things should stay private. Confidential items must remain confidential. Try not to mention your real name unless you’re family, related or meets in real life with someone online.-Don’t be an asshole, unless someone deserves it. You have no idea what other people are going through in their real lives.-Follow rules set by communities. You Americans are probably all about “freedom” and “democracy” but online communities can be strict when it comes to their own rules and are not a “democracy” (I’ve seen many people permanently banned out of a server because of something seemingly trivial). Fear not, these rules do not apply outside of the community.
