I Have Some Questions About Citalopram Celexa .

I was just put on citalopram/celexa...?

I was just put on celexa (10mg) for anxiety & mild depression, I always get nervous when I was SSRI medications due to all the side effects. Just wondering to anyone out there that knows more about the drug or even better has been on it what the major side effects are..I've done some research but I'd rather get some first hand encounters instead of redundant side effect lists on medical websites, I'm really nervous to start it. I know it's a low dosage, but just let me know if you know anything about it or have had an experience with it. Thanks so much! :)

Questions about medications Citalopram (CELEXA) & Clonidine?

Here is something important about the Citalopram (sub for Celexa) that you need to know that your doctor should have told you. It will either make you sleepy or keep you awake. That is important knowledge since you are also taking these to help you sleep, in addition to depression and any other mental illness. For me, I tried my 20mg Citalopram at night and realized I needed to take it in the morning and not at night. You should of course follow your doctor's instructions. If you were told to take it at night, then go ahead and do so, but if you still can't sleep, call your doctor the next day and tell him someone told you their doctor said to take it in the morning if it keeps you awake at night. Then, make sure it is okay to switch taking it to morning. I don't know anything about the clonidine. But I take my Citalopram in the morning with my doctor's advice and knowledge.

Best of luck with dealing with your depression. The right medication and dosage for you personally can really help you a great deal along with therapy.

Citalopram (celexa) what time of day is it best to take them?

Take it at night.. that way if you have any side effects they will occur while you are sleeping.

How can I flush Celexa (citalopram) out of my body after a bad reaction?

Hello, I took 1 dose, 20mg of Celexa (citalopram) and began having bad side effects a couple of hours later. That was on Saturday, It is now Friday, almost 1 week later and I am still feeling sick! I only took the single dose and have never been on this medication so I don't think its withdrawal which I know can happen. I have constant pain at the base of my neck, a head ache that comes and goes, stomach pain/heartburn, bad insomnia, a strange feeling that's hard to explain and I generally just feel crappy. Does anyone know of an herb or natural remedy that would help flush this poison out of my system??? Please don't tell me to call a doctor b/c she already knows. Also, has anyone heard of an anti depressant causing side effects that last this long from only a single dose?

Doing Celexa (Citalopram) and Cocaine?

tell them to f off and don't do it, is screwing up your life or health really worth it just so some ***** will be your friends for a few years? have some self respect. if you don't feel safe doing it, then don't. based on "side effects include bruxism, vomiting, cardiac arrhythmia, blood pressure changes, dilated pupils, anxiety, mood swings, headache, and dizziness." I would steer clear of mixing them, and I used to do a lot of coke in the 80's.

What effect does Celexa (citalopram) have on your body?

Certainly you can read the information package which comes with the medicine when first prescribed. As well as going to specific medical sites on the web. The information which comes with the medicine gives you a breakdown of what is in the medicine as well as the tests done on populations taking it. As with all medicines, some folks experience some side effects and no medicine is completely safe. But after that research, you and your doctor can come to an agreement how why, how and when to take the medicine.Celexa was one of the newer anti-depressants to emerge following similar meds such as Poxac, Zoloft, and others. In my case, I could not tolerate other anti-depressants due to their side effects and their anxiety producing hyper-active effect on my system. Plus most of these took from 4-6 weeks before becoming effective. Celexa was new, and it contains an anti-depressant ingredient as well as an anti-anxiety component. The length of time for it to take effect was only 10 days. I have been on this medicine for over two years. There are no side effects in my case, no dry mouth, no sweats, or abnormal thoughts etc. So, in my case, Celexa has no effect on my body. I take 60mg in the morning just like a vitamin. It doesn't make me feel happy or sad; but I see the world in a more optimistic way. Instead of constant anxiety and always feeling doom and gloom, I see life in a joyful manner. I don't worry about things. I don't ruminate over small things. It has been a life-saver for me. There is also a newer type of Celexa called Lexapro which is now prescribed more often. But I prefer staying on the medicine that works for me.

40 mg Celexa/Citalopram side effects.?

i started this 24 hrs ago i was prescribed 40mg in morning. i took it once with 15 mg buspar morning and night and the side effects are horrendous. dry mouth, nausea, no appetite, slight hallutionations, anxiety, fear, no sleep, its real bad. my question is has anyone ever felt like this? and is it ok to stop taking the pill after one day? i mean will i feel like hell for a few days even though i only took this one day? i cant get a hold of my dr. can anyone help?

I take 20 mg of Citalopram (Celexa) daily. I cannot remember if I have already taken it today.?

This is funny (not in a lol kinda way) because I had this same exact problem around 10pm tonight. I take 20mg of Paxil daily, and usually take it around 9:30pm. Around 10:15 I panicked because I couldn't remember if I'd taken my pill for the night (Paxil's withdrawal effects scare me, so I am determined not to miss a dose!!)...so I looked at the label on the bottle, and saw that it'd been filled last Monday. I just counted the days (11), and then dumped the bottle out and counted the pills (30 in a bottle). I saw that I hadn't taken my dose and then went ahead and took it (I had one pill too many). If it's been longer than about 4 hours from your normal time to take it, I would go ahead and wait until tomorrow, and just skip today's. Don't ever double up on these types of medications. Never ever. Hope this helps!

If im on celexa (citalopram) for anxiety...can i not use other pills recreationally?

Brain? What brain? You have none, not even enough to be an imbecile.
