I Have Strong Stomach Muscles But Fat Covering Them

LITTLE belly fat covering abs muscles?

Very cute stomach.
In my opinion its perfect, but everyone has things they want to change about themselves.

I would just run for about 30 min a day. Do hardcore cardio. Its helping me.

Can you flex fat ?Or just muscle?

when i flex my legs , stomach , and arms , they feel really hard and muscular . But when they are in a relaxed position , they really don't feel as hard as they do if you flex them . Is thos fat or muscle?

How to get rid of fat covering muscle on arms?

you need to train all muscles once a week
total gym workouts 4-6 times a week..

do a variety of reps... u need 6-8 reps and 8-10 reps

lift what is challenging... if its too easy for 10 reps then forget it... increase weight

and also add some cardio exercise in the mix..2-3 times a week for 30 mins

Is there muscle under fat?

Okay, this will come off as a dumb question, but please read this to understand what I mean. So I have a belly, not a major one, but when I push my hands into it, I feel hardness. I tried asking my mother if it was perhaps hard fat underneath, but she didn't know. I'm questioning if it muscle as well. I have strong stomach muscles, so it is a possibility. I am just curious, and yes I am well aware that fat sits on top of muscle. That is not my confusion. I'm just trying to figure this out, because this is the same way with my legs as well. I have muscular thighs (I play roller derby...if you have seen a girl who plays that sport, you can see that we usually have bigger thighs than most girls), but with fat on top. So it is sort of like "how much of it is fat that has hardness to it perhaps, or muscle?" I'm no medical genius, so that is why I am asking others for what they think or what they know as a fact.

Thank you.

Do ab exercises make your stomach look bigger if you have some fat?

If you strengthen your abdominal muscles and do not lose weight then it is likely that belly fat could be pushed out by the muscle growth and make your abdomen appear bigger . This can also be true if you are doing heavy exercises for your obliques. These exercises can make you look more trunk like with a wider waste.Doing heavy abdominal exercises can cause temporary swelling to the abdominal area because of the tiny muscle damage that occurs after heavy exercise.Don’t mistake skin looseness for new fat. When I really started to do core exercises, The muscles of my abdomen became very strong, but my deflated stomach fell all around my middle. When I sat down, I looked like a pile of mashed potatoes. As I continued to lose fat (and my skin caught up), this went away and I was rewarded with a slimmer midsection. This process can take longer as we get older and extreme weight loss may leave permanently loose skin without surgery.planks and core exercises are what are currently favored over crunches. Developing your stomach muscles will pull in visceral fat.If you have weakened and stretched stomach muscles, like after the birth of a child, then stomach exercises will simply pull in the muscles tightening them up. But take it easy directly after childbirth and take special care following a c-section, consult your doctor first.

How do you lose the thin layer of fat covering abs?

Unfortunately, there is no possible way to lose fat over a target area of the body. In order to lose fat over the abdominals, you will need to lose fat overall. It’s quite an undertaking to rock a six pack, which is what I assume you’re attempting to do. Take myself for example, I’ve been working out seriously for about 6 months now, which is something I’ve never personally done before. I went from 196 lbs to 160, and now I’m at 11% body fat, but still no six pack. If you want your abs to be visible, you’ll need to be very low fat, but also have a considerable amount of muscle mass, otherwise you’ll wind up looking scrawny. I’d advise you to either get a personal trainer to check your body fat percentage, or find a place that uses InBody and scan yourself. The results may not be 100% accurate, but its a great way to track progress and give you a basic idea as to your progress.

How do you turn stomach fat into abs without losing weight?

Sad news, you can't turn fat into muscle, just like you can't turn bronze into gold. What you need to do is diet and cardio to get rid of the fat, and pump iron to build muscle. Use the Body for Life Program, but replace crunches with planks. You've got to get your bodyfat down to about 6% to have a six pack, but you don't need a six pack to look good. All you've got to do is look better than the other guys. It's not that hard if you're good looking, have a flat stomach, no six pack, and have some muscle so nobody kicks sand in your face. Check out this video on how to work the core. Also get one of the books in the series by Lou Schuler The New Rules of Lifting. Excessive crunches just cause spinal problems.

Why do my abdominal muscles hurt?

You are using muscles you forgot you had and it will take time to get used to exercising them. I would only do it every OTHER day - to give your muscles some recovery time. Don't give up. Hang in there. It takes dedication, discipline & determination to achieve your goals.
