I Have This Red Bumps What Could Be Biting Me

I can't see any bugs. What is biting me at night?

There are many possibilities. Here are some...1)     Mosquitos –have a very light touch; many times you never know you’ve been bitten until much later when the venom causes itching. They can also bite through clothing.2)     Fleas –fleas are so small and fast that you rarely ever see them bite you. Like the mosquitos, they could be long gone before you feel the bites. Because of their size they could be in your bed and you still may not see them.3)     Bed bugs – hide under the mattress and don’t come out until they sense your presence; they usually leave some signs of their presence, like dried blood (their poop) in the seams of the mattress.4)     No-see-ums – Yes, there really is such a thing. As the name suggests, they are very difficult to see. They have long (relative to their tiny size) mouths that often leave a “v” shaped bite mark under high magnification. Their bites and itching often don’t show up for a day or two so you don’t even know you’ve been bitten until much later.

I have 2 red bumps side by side on my leg and tummy that itch, but I never see a bug what could be biting me?

You could have bedbugs. Check between your mattress and box spring, under your bed, along floor boards, even behind picture frames on the wall. They hide everywhere, and apparently there is an epidemic of them in the US right now. If you have them, call an exterminator. They multiply quickly.

I have all these red bumps all over my private area and they itch. Am I being bitten by bed bugs?

A genital rash or groin rash can occur because of many reasons. Some rashes in the groin area are minor, but some of these skin rashes indicate a more serious health problem.

Here are some causes for a groin rash in an oterwise healthy adult.

Friction
Tight fitting clothes may constantly rub the groin area and produce a rash. Wear loose fitting clothing.

Heat
Build up of heat in the groin area may lead to a heat groin rash. Keeping the area cool and dry will help.

Shaving
The groin area is a sensitive skin area and shaving this area, especially too close, will likely lead to a shaving rash or razor bumps.

Fungal
Because the groin is a warm and humid skin area, fungi can flourish and lead to a skin rash commonly known as jock itch. Ensure proper hygiene is practiced to prevent the growth of this fungal skin condition.

Contact Dermatitis
This genital skin rash results because the skin has sensitivity or is sensitized to certain chemicals. These may include detergents, hygiene products, or latex from condoms. Identify the offending products and avoid them.

Yeast Infections
A groin rash may be produced by a yeast infection in either men or women.

Scabies
A scabies rash caused by the presence of the scabies mite can appear in the groin area.

Psoriasis
This skin condition may produce a genital rash in addition to affecting the skin in other parts of the body.

Various STDs
Various sexually transmitted diseases or conditions can produce a genital rash or groin rash. These include secondary syphilis, herpes, genital warts, and pubic lice.

As is evident from the information presented above, there are a number of different reasons for a genital rash to occur. Some like heat, friction, or shaving are minor causes and can be easily remedied. Others such as the secondary syphilis groin rash is a much more serious condition. For this reason, any rash in the genital or groin area should not be ignored unless it is obvious why the rash is present i.e. just after shaving the area.

In general, a visit to the doctor is recommended whenever a groin rash is present.

I randomly woke up this morning with a ton of itchy red bumps on my chest and lower back but alsolutely nowhere else. I slept with my shirt on. How can I determine if they are bug bites, food allergies, or something else?

Need several more details please.Did you change anything in your routine such as detergent for clothing and linens?Did you eat anything that is new to your system?Do you have a fever or headache? Are you having swelling in the mouth area or anywhere else now that time has passed? Are the bumps pustules with a little head of puss on the top, or just red bumps? The surrounding skin, is it normal looking or is there redness around the area?Did the bumps go away after you were out of bed for a duration?Have you had chicken pox?Last time you washed your sheets?Do you own a pet that may sleep on your bed?Do you wear a top when you sleep or were you skin to sheet? Are the bumps hot and inflamed?Ok. I would suggest you go to a clinic for a Dr to look at you. The questions I asked are from a dermatology standpoint, you will need to have the answers for the Dr when you go.Without seeing the bumps, it can be anything from tick bite rash, bed bugs, scabies, measles, shingles, intolerance to food or a new detergent and a long list of other possibilities.First things first, go to the clinic to make sure you are not having symptoms that could be the beginning of a larger issue. If the issue is of no immediate concern, bloodwork panel and allergy testing can be ordered by your Dr.Your family Dr is a general practitioner. If the issue persists, they will need to send you to a dermatologist.

Red bumps or bites Only around my hip area at random?

i have these small red bumps or bites around my hips. i got one maybe once every 2 weeks for the last 2 months. they will be very red for less then a day, then turn dark and fade away. they itch a little but only when i accidentally rub it, not insanely. well recently i got 3 in the last week, and one just 5 minutes ago! its strange because they only appear around my panty line. they are similar to something i experienced 2 years ago during a heat wave, i got red bumps along my belly due to extreme heat during the night. but its not that hot now.. and like i said, only along my panty line?

at first i thought the worst, bed bugs or something horrible and i tore my room apart looking for any evidence of bugs. then i thought it could simply be my skin reacting to my underwear. i also recently changed my laundry soap, but haven't been paying attention to what garments i wear when the bump/bite appears. i changed my sheets to new ones about 1.5 weeks ago too (and yes i washed them first).. so it could be many things!

any suggestions?

I have red little itchy bumps on and around my ankle, and i have no idea what they are! HELP!!!?

I have a cat and 5 kittens, and i've noticed that they have fleas. They're hardly a month old so I haven't done anything yet. A couple of the kittens have slept with me the last couple nights, and that's when these itches have started. Right now i have a bunch of red bumps on and around my ankle and THEY ITCH LIKE CRAZY. Usually I have a good tolerance against itches, but these are driving me nuts. Can it be bed bugs? Or flea bites? And what should I do to get rid of them? Thanks!

P.S Is there anything I could do to alleviate the itch? Like taking warm showers or something?

How can I keep these ants from biting me?

I was plagued by tiny ants in my apt for 2 years. Ant traps were the best remedy
I was told. I put out a dozen and watched them avoid the traps.
Finally I found some bug bombs at dollar general called "Rid a bug foggers".
I set off 2 in my apt and that cut them way back. Would just see a few now and then
but they were still around. I set them off every 3 to 6 months and am virtually free
of them.
There are some bug repellents that you can rub on your skin. The active ingredient is "Deet"
if you can obtain one somewhere, that may do the trick for
tonight
follow directions - leave the apt for 2 hours - then air out

I keep waking up with bug bites but no bugs, what is biting me?

Unfortunately, the answer is that bed bugs are likely biting you. There are many myths about bed bugs - people think that you will find traces of them like droppings/blood, and people also think that you will get many bites. Both are often not true. You are going to be wondering for a year, getting bites all the while (and possibly spreading the bugs outside your home). I know this from experience of a boyfriend who spent months of online research, put down every type of trap on the market, and never found bed bugs, until about 4 months into it, he did find just one. He couldn’t find any others but continued to get bites - just one or two - every night. He got them taken care of. Don’t be fooled by the myths of how bed bugs are - just get your place examined by a professional company and proceed from there.

What kind of bug is this? Is this bug causing me to have red itchy bumps?

I’ve been bitten multiple times by possibly a bug and I’m not sure what is causing it. It could be something else but usually does the itchiness or the red bump goes away within a day and usually I have pretty severe allergic reaction’s to bug bites so I’m not sure if this is the bug I’m looking for, but I did catch this bug and it’s so tiny smaller than a grain of rice but I can’t search up what it is can you tell me what it is and is it possibly causing my red itchy bumps? It is fully black with wings with antennas but I am not 100 percent sure but maybe there is a stinger. Again it is smaller than a grain of rice possibly a bit smaller than half the size of a grain of rice.
