If I have five apples and I take three apples, how many apples do I have?

If you meant ate by take then you have 2 apples left with you (you may consider the apple inside your tummy, in that case it will be 5 again). If you have taken the apple from the apples you already have, then You have 5 apples. If you have taken the three apples from outside, then you have 8.I go with 3. Because, you said you have 5 apples and no mentioning of other apples or where you have them, so I assume you have 5 apples and you kept it somewhere (say on a table) and taken three of them, so you have only 3 apples.I couldn't relate this with any well known problem other that saying insufficient information to conclude.
