I Have Truble Sleeping

Trouble sleeping?

I can relate. Ambien helps sometimes.

Good luck.

I have trouble sleeping!?

Usually the reason people can't get to sleep is because they're thinking too much. What I want you to do is stop thinking. A good technique for this is when you close your eyes, just look at the inside of your eyelids and concentrate on that. You'll see some pretty after-images and you'll then fall asleep. =)

Do you have trouble sleeping?

Yes.I have a hard time sleeping on a 2 day cycle (I can't sleep or I get very little sleep the first night, on the second I fall asleep almost instantly, or I have the first sleepless night, then wait about 30 mins, then go to bed again, and boom sleep!) Problem is, you can't start school at 2 pm.I can tell you, it is stressful, especially when you go to school, 'cause you don't want to be sleep deprived in school.I often look at my brother (who sleeps next to me) with jealousy at 3 am. I am jealous that he gets the privilege of sleep while I'm sitting next to him, wide awake staring at the wall. It's like sleep is too goo for me or something. It brings sadness and depression in your (at least) school life, because school isn't very flexible. (Be in class at 8 am! What's that? You couldn't sleep the last night? TOO F*CKING BAD!!!) You could work a flexible job, be self employed, or work from home, but school, man, it's stressful knowing at 4 am staring at the wall that a bad time is awaiting you in a couple hours.to sum it up, if someone is reading all this, and you can sleep, props to you man, you are one of the chosen ones, if you can't though, welcome to the club my friend, we all in this together.

I have trouble sleeping at night?

just think of me!

I have trouble sleeping at night, what should I do?

I believe I have what you call "chronic insomnia" which is sleeping poorly on most nights for a month or more. For me, it's been years and I haven't been able to figure out why I can't get into a deep state of sleep. I pretty much take cat naps.

It all started years ago, when I worked graveyard at a convienence store. I worked late, and I didn't have school until later in the evening. I went straight to school to put in some lab for my project instead of going to bed. Do you think that might have something do with it?

I have been to clinics, taking different pills, and some of the over the counter meds. They don't work! I don't know what else to do, I haven't tried Ambien CR/Lunesta or any of that cause you need a prescription.

Any help would be apperciated.

Im having trouble sleeping?

I have such a bad sleep problem too. even without a cold. i go to sleep around twelve, wake up a three in the morning, stay up for an hour or two and then i still have to get up at six for school. so what might help is get a Humidifier for your room or open the windows because you will be more comfortable in a bed. sleep with 2 pillows instead of one and don't drink too many liquids before bed. try to cut down on all the sleep medicine and try doing it naturally. you can also just go along with it until the cold is over. just watch TV until you fall asleep. maybe turn the lights off or dim them to a lighting that makes you sleepier. I know people say to turn the TV off but it makes me fall asleep too. i cant stand it to be quiet so just do whatever makes you feel comfortable. you can also just put on some soothing music or keep a warm washcloth on your head. Hope this helps! get well soon!

I'm having trouble sleeping at night!! HELP!?

Ok, so i used to have hooorible sleeping prob. But i was under alot of stress and slept on a terrible mattress. The minute i got a new one, ive slept like an angel. Also your meds very well might give you insomnia. Ask your doctor about that, or read up on the side effects of your meds. Another thing, try not to listen to music at night, or try downloading meditating music or sounds like the ocean. Try to take deep breathes. Also, exercise during the day helps you sleep better at night. Another thing, make sure you dont eat large meals before bed. Watch how much caffien you consume during the day or nicotine. Trying reading a boring book before bed. Stimulating you mind with literature makes your brain tired for all the learning. Try to stay away from computers or televisions at least 30min before bed. These stimulate your mind to stay awake. Try to only sleep in your bed and not hang out there or watch tv there or read or write in bed. Your mind like to keep things simple, so let it know that your bed is strictly for sleep. You can try warm milk, a small banana, or a tea specially formulated to help you fall asleep. And try to regulate your sleeping patterns. If you wake up in the night, pick up a piece of literature and sit in a chair and read till your tired.

Ive been through it as well, so i truly hope you find the solution!!
sleep tight! :)

For the past week, I have been having trouble sleeping and been in a bad mood. Is that normal?

I think that is normal if it has only been a week. You should find out the root of all this worry. You are lucky it’s only been a week. Being sleep deprived can certainly put you in a bad mood.Find out exactly what it is that is bothering you. Mental? Emotional? Physical? Physical would be the easiest one to deal with. If you are having pains, see your doctor and go from there.
