I Have Uninstalled Sims 4 From My Family Computer And Am Trying To Install It On My Computer. It

Will the Sims 3 slow down my laptop? Will I be able to uninstall it completely if it makes my laptop slow?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300-21I.
I have tested to see if it meets the requirements on canurunit.com and another similar website.
CanURunIt said I meet all the requirements except for RAM, it says I need 1.5GB and that I have 1.9GB but I don't understand because it's saying I have more RAM than needed so why don't I meet the requirements?
The other website I used said I meet all the requirements.

I've had my laptop for less than a year and I've always been careful with what I download and install on it etc. I have never installed a CD on it before and when I am no-longer using something that I have downloaded, I uninstall it.
I have put a DVD in the CD Drive before and it made this really load roaring noise (like the fan on overload or something); it was so loud that I couldn't hear what the people were saying on the DVD and I was getting a bit worried about it so I took it out of the CD Drive.
(when I say "CD Drive", I mean a disk drive that accepts both CD-Roms and DVDs).
I'm worried that if I put the Sims 3 CD into my laptop, it might make the really loud noise.

I do also have a desktop computer but it's eight years old and extremely slow (so slow that I actually stuck a rosette on the monitor saying "Crowned The Slowest Of All").
I am thinking of uninstalling everything on my desktop PC and "rebooting" it so that it starts again as though it's new.
I'd prefer it if I could play the Sims 3 on my laptop as I have been considering moving my desktop PC into my loft (it's being refurbished) or garage. Both of which are a bit awkward and I'd rather be able to move to different areas in my house whilst playing the game as I would with my laptop.

--------------------------------------...
I KNOW THIS IS LONG AND MAYBE BORING TO READ BUT PLEASE AT LEAST READ BELOW.

If I bought the Sims 3 and installed it on my laptop and if it was slow etc. and if it sort of messed up my laptop and then if I were to uninstall it completely from my laptop and try installing it on my desktop computer instead (once it has been rebooted), would my laptop be recovered since I would have uninstalled the Sims 3 or would it still suffer the effects even though I have removed it?

Basically, if the Sims 3 made my laptop slow, could I uninstall it so that my laptop is completely back to it's high-speed-ness again?

Thank you. I really hope I can get the Sims 3 with no problems.

Will The Sims 2 run on this computer...?

Maxis has released information on the system requirements for "The Sims 2." If you have a T&L (info about what T&L is below) capable video card with at least 32 MB of video RAM (such as nvidia GeForce 2 or better or ATI Radeon 7000 or better) then you need at least:

800 MHz processor
256 MB RAM if Windows XP
128 MB RAM if Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 gigs of free hard drive space
If you have a non-T&L capable video card (such as TNT2, Intel, or Rage for example) then you need at least:
2.0 GHz processor
256 MB RAM if Windows XP
128 MB RAM if Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 gigs of free hard drive space
Recommened video cards (and the more video memory the better):
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Nvidia Geforce 4
Visit "The Sims 2" official website for a more detailed list.
You can also download the system requirements test from ServoPro to see if your computer is ready for "The Sims 2."

From TheSims.com:

From the nVidia website's glossary Transform & Lighting (T&L) definition: Two separate engines on the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) that provide for a powerful, balanced PC platform and enable extremely high polygon count scenes. Transform performance determines how complex objects can be and how many can appear in a scene without sacrificing frame rate. Lighting techniques add to a scene's realism by changing the appearance of objects based on light sources.

Some other notes about video cards: T&L video cards started shipping around 3 years ago, so if you got your computer in the last couple of years you should check and see if you have a T&L card.

It's always a good idea to make sure you have the most current drivers for your video cards. The manufacturers usually have the video drivers on their sites for you to download. Visit the nVidia site or the ATI for the latest drivers for those video cards.

If I uninstall programs, would this make my computer run faster?

It wont make your computer run faster necessarily. Technically what slows down your computer is not usually what is stored on the hard drive but what programs are running in the background. Upon booting up your computer, the operating system starts running programs that are placed in the startup. Some are necessary to keep and others can be "disabled" so that the unnecessary processes don't eat your available resources (memory) and slow down the computer. To check your startup you can click Start, then in the run box type in "msconfig". Once there make your way to the startup tab at the top and take a look at what is in there. If you see things that are not necessary you may disable them and this might help with the speed. To top things off, I would also recommend that you do a disk defrag which will help as well.

Help! How do I uninstall my sims 2 stuff packs without losing my saved games and sims!?

hi, before u do that , i mean uninstall , mind this :

your saved files are stored HERE:

Whether you just want to make sure you have copies of your families or you got a new computer, keeping a copy of your game files is a smart idea. With a copy, you will be ready to get a new computer up and running with your families quickly or have a copy in case a hack or expansion pack installation ruins your files. You could move the files to a second hard drive, DVD, CD, or at the very least another folder in My Documents (like C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Backup\.

The Directories to Back-Up

C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Saved Sims\
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Projects\
etc...

THEN.....
I have a tip for u,
Please please , i can see that u are a sims2 gammer , as i am ,
try 2 free up some space for the game , but not by uninstalled SIMS2 ADDONS but by cleaning the unnecessary staffs from your computer.

HOW?
let me ask u this , do u have a PC utility software that will erase the temp, unnecessary local files?
for example, pccleaner or Xp manager ,
download from the net if u dont have , coz they will free up ur computer from 4-8GB of data, if u have not ever used any cleaner.

i will give u an example..

go to
c:\windows\temp

and
c:\documents and setting\\local~1\temp

these 2 locations have huge numbers of unnecessary files, delete them, may be u will free up some space...

if all above dont work,

try uninstalling any other big games u have on the disc

How to uninstall PC Optimizer Pro?

I'm such an idiot. I was trying to download a Sims 4 demo and accidentally installed all this crap software on my computer. It's totally jacking everything up and I can't figure out how to get rid of everything. I really just want everything off. It downloaded all this other crap too, like my homepage has been replaced by something called trovi? It comes up in the URL box. And Tron or Tor or something TV came up on my desktop along with all this other crap, like some sort of synthesizer. I'm not being specific because, being an even bigger idiot, I deleted all the files. But it's still popping up (Optimizer Pro), like doing scans and crap. I got it from a website called Torrent or something? Please help me out!!
Also, this might be a stupid question, but if I plug a hard-drive into my computer and save files on there, will the PC Optimizer Pro install itself on whatever computer I plug it into (even if I don't move that or any of those files to the hard-drive)?

How to install Sims 3 without Origin?

I have looked all over for the answer to the question. Basically, I had the sims 3 games installed, and I uninstalled them. I now wish to re-install them, but Origin doesn't seem to want to let that happen. I have the Sims 3 Starter Pack, which comes with the base game, high end loft stuff, and Late Night. Origin won't take the code that I have in the case for the Sims 3 base game, and I can't seem to get the game to install WITHOUT the godawful Origin program. I have the legit, hard copy disk, and I can't get it to install. Everywhere else I've looked keeps saying 'oh you can install it without Origin' but fails to mention HOW to do that. Guys, I just want to play my sims =/ Any help? Other info: I have windows 8

Will Steam recognize any cracked or pirated game installed in my computer?

I have a cracked copy of skyrim (already bought the ps3 and xbox version ) ,it’s even in my steam library at this moment as a non steam game and I haven't been banned yet, so you should be good. plus I'm pretty sure that would be a breach of your privacy from steam's side if they knew what you were downloading.
