How can I use WhatsApp without an internet connection?

You can. However, if you are looking for using whatsapp for free & that too without internet then it’s not possible.Several months or may be a year ago, there was no such option to use WhatsApp without internet. However, now it is possible.Using whatsapp without internet doesn’t makes it free. The one and only easiest solution for using Whatsapp without internet is ChatSim.ChatSim is just like your mobile SIM card which we mainly use for calling and SMS purposes. For more details, you can refer to - How to use Whatsapp without Internet? Thanks!

Does it cost money to use the mobile hotspot on your phone if you have an unlimited plan?

The 'Mobile Hotspot' feature is usually only enabled by your service provider if you are paying them for the use of it.

If it's working, it should mean it's part of your service plan.

Does WhatsApp mean the end of expensive mobile phone contracts?

No. Absolutely not.If you do not have a contract then your phone does not work & WhatsApp will do nothing.WhatsApp is an arbitrage: it uses a cheap product (IP data) instead of a more expensive one (SMS data).iMessage does the same but only for Apple.Like any arbitrage it relies on a price mis-match. Many markets have essentially unlimitted SMS, at which point WhatsApp is no longer a cost saving but must suceed based on being a better address book or social connector.Historically, SMS has been very profitable which is why carriers still emphasize it, but that is not long-term

Do you need WiFi to get unlimited data on a cell phone?

Terminology is important for this question. Mobile data and WiFi are two separate and distinct entities, although both are means with which to get internet access on a mobile device. When you use WiFi, you don't use any of your mobile data. Likewise, when you use mobile data for internet access, WiFi isn't used. When mobile providers offer “unlimited data” plans, this means that you can use mobile data for internet access all you want, anytime you want. For this, WiFi isn't a factor at all. However, let's say for instance that your data plan isn't unlimited, and that your plan includes 5GB high speed data per month. To keep from using up this 5GB of data during the month, you can use WiFi for internet access whenever feasibly possible because, while you are using WiFi, your mobile data isn't being used. Your mobile data is best utilized when you are in locations or in situations when WiFi isn't available. But on a truly unlimited mobile data plan, you never have to use WiFi unless you just want to. You won't run out of mobile data either way.

Does my own hotspot work on my phone or just other peoples' phones?

Your question is a little confusing, but I think I get what you're asking.  I'll just explain a little.Let's say you are somewhere where there's no wi-fi and you have a laptop that needs wi-fi.  Your phone is connected to the Internet via cellular radio, and turning on Hot Spot turns your phone into a wi-fi hub that your laptop can use.  So you have laptop <- wi-fi -> Hot Spot phone <- cell radio -> Internet. Now if somebody else has a phone, they could connect to your wi-fi Hot Spot.  You can't connect your phone to your own Hot Spot; that would be like taking an extension cord and plugging the two ends into each other.  Not very useful.I couldn't think of why anyone would connect their phone to your Hot Spot wi-fi, but Jenn Ong has a good scenario with App Store limits.Hope that clears things up.

Cell phone usage at Camp Casey, South Korea?

I'll be going here for my first duty station. I asked a few days back for info about what it was like there. Now I want to know what kind of cell phone service servicemen and servicewomen use while stationed there. I'm currently planning on putting my Verizon cell phone and hot spot service on hold while stationed there. If I do, what can I get in South Korea to use? Is it easy to find some reliable pay-as-you-go, no contract, type cell phone? Something to use just while there, then discard once I return?

Are public schools allowed to search through your cell phone?

So today I got my phone taken away, not really a big deal. But when my friends told me that they go through it, that's where i had the problem. Are public schools really allowed to do this? I mean this is your personal property. Its not like police offers can go into your home and search it. No they can't because they don't have a warrant. Same thing, my school does not have my permission or my parents. And also, in the student hand book if you get caught a third time with your phone they say they can take it until the end of the year? I don't think so. It isn't theirs to keep. The whole thing makes me so mad. I mean, they already caught me using it. Why do they need prove if I'm going to get in trouble anyway?
So, are schools allowed to do this?

And if your going to answer this, I don't want your opinion, I want the correct legal answer please.

Is it possible to use the internet on a phone without Wi-Fi or mobile data?

Not that I know of, unless you can figure out how to use Bluetooth to connect to another device which has an internet connection. I can't think of how that would be possible, at least not yet.

Can local police track me just by my IP address if I am using cellular data plan on my phone?

Thanks for A2A.If your cell phone’s cellular data is on, then police can track your location simply. But they cannot pinpoint you that simply. Why is that?If your cell phone is on and you are connected to a network, this simply means that you are connected with one of the BTS of that area. And location of that BTS is very well known to the network companies. Why they cannot pinpoint you?Every BTS cover certain area, known as cell of that BTS. And coverage area of a typical BTS antenna is around 4 to 5kms. So pinpointing your location is quite difficult. Unless you are moving from one cell to another.Hope this was helpful and never be in that situation where police need to track you.Thank you.

Can we connect to WiFi without a SIM card?

Yeah, you can connect to WiFi without having a SIM card in your phone.Today almost every phone is designed in a way that the WiFi feature is present in them. In order to connect to WiFi you just have to ture your phone's WiFi on and scan for the available connections. After getting your desired connection seen you just have to click on that and it gets connected. In some cases after clicking on the desired connection you also need a password which the primary user would have set for security purposes. You can also connect with your friend's phone who should have to turn his Hotspot on, or with your home WiFi or Modem cum Router. However, I would like to tell you that the only condition is that your phone should have a WiFi feature in it.
