I Have Worked For A Company Which Has Changed Hands A Few Times And They Honoured Our Contracts I

What are the legal issues for leaving a company while under a signed bond? They notified me that I will have to pay or they will take legal action. Is this case under criminal record? Will this affect my eligibility for the civil service?

All other answers, every one missed few big point which I thought should be here.First thing this no where a fight of legal and you. If legal thing come then others answers are 100% valid and company can't claim anything more than traning money.   Following problems you will face if you don't pay a bond amount Company won't give you resignation letter.Company won't give you experience letter.Company will give negative feedback about you whenever your any future company will ask. They can blacklist you.And also salary of notice period. And if you are planning to go any reputed company or big MNC or you think in future fortunately or unfortunately you will going to join company like TCS Infosys wipro .... 1000s other companies, who will go up-to your schools for verifying you then first four points ( points form 1-4 ) will screw your entire life with load. Why we are helpless First thing i want to mention i have zero clue about legal and laws. I Just google various bonded labor laws and section 27 ( and this only from my understanding i am not claiming anything )   If company will go to court and failed       1. Then company need to pay penalty of Rs 2000/- (30$ USD approx) (according to india from my understanding)  or three years of prison.             You Know then what company will do!!!! obuasly rs 2,000/- , this bounded labour law was created in 1976, So I think that would be heavy amount of that time but now everything got changed.   If they win    1. You will need to pay training cost.   Your loss, irrespective whether you win or failed     Company give negative feedback about you always + you will be blacklisted for always  + your background verification will always failed + No good companies will hire you.So, now you can decide whether we are Independent citizens or Bounded Labour.  And what you need to do.

Our rental home is in pre-foreclosure?

Febuary 1st of this year we moved into a rental home owned by a life-long family friend. Our rent is fairly inexpensive for a 3 bedroom 2 bath ($850) in Redding California. We paid a security deposit of $500 (also inexpensive) before we moved in. We have been paying rent on time every month. At the beginning of this month our landlord asked us for a copy of the lease (6 month lease), saying she can't find hers. She also asked us if we were interested in signing a longer lease for a year after this one is up. We told her we would love to.

We didn't think anything was going on until we found a "Notice of Trustee's Sale" on the front door a few weeks ago. In the notice it says "On June 29, 2010 ............. will sell at public auction to highest bidder........."

It says the notice of sale is $134,743.51, which I am surprised... I remember when she bought this house 20 something years ago. I figured it was paid off.

I sent the landlord a text telling her about the notice, she text back saying "I am pretty sure I know what is up. I will get back to you" She never did.

Two weeks ago my husband and I got a certified letter saying the exact same stuff as the "Notice of Trustee's Sale". I sent the landlord an email telling her. She wrote back "I'm so sorry! I have taken care of that but it looks like the release has not been received by the selling agent. I will make a call and if there is a problem I will let you know...Once again I'm very sorry!"

I didn't hear anything back, so last week I sent her an email saying "Have you heard anything"... to which she never responded. I know she has been online too because she has commented on several of my facebook photos and status updates... lol

I have looked at several of those 'foreclosure' websites, and our rental home is on every one of them.

I asked a friend of mine that is a mortgage lender and he told me to just wait it out and see what happens. My sister in law is a Realtor and she told us to stop paying rent and just wait it out.

Tuesday is the day that it is suppose to be auctioned. I am worried that we will have 3 days to pack and leave... Kinda hard to do when both my husband and I work full time, my husband is a full time student and we have children ya know...

I guess my question is... what is going to happen on Tuesday? Do you think maybe she worked it out with her bank but just forgot to let us know?

How bad is the ATA (American Taekwondo Association)?

I've seen quite a few people complaining about it online, so I've got to ask. How bad is it? What makes it so awful? I've only been affiliated with local associations and for the most part, those have been no better or worse than independent teachers I've studied with.

So what makes the ATA especially awful?

"Corporate Sharecropping?"?

What do you make of this term? I heard it in the rap song Harlem Streets by Immortal Technique. I know what both of these words mean but I'm not totally sure I understand what he's getting at.

Should Ray Kroc have honored the 1% royalty deal? Should the brothers have pushed to get it in writing if they really wanted to enforce the terms?

According to the book, Grinding It, which Kroc wrote, he stated that the McDonald brothers often agreed to changes in their franchise contract without putting it in writing. The franchise agreement however stated that no amendments to the contract were of force unless reduced to writing, signed by all parties and sent by registered post. Therefore every change that Kroc implemented and that the McDonald brothers agreed to put the Kroc in breach of contract. The brothers seemed comfortable with this and it put a lot of strain on their relationship with Kroc.If you ask me, it's their just desserts. They treated Kroc like dirt and he in turn have them a taste of their own medicine. The McDonald brothers may have intended a verbal contract, but it seems it was a Gentleman's Agreement for Kroc. By law a Gentleman's Agreement is not enforceable and does not amount to a legal contract. For something this big, yes, they should have gotten it in writing. Kroc and the brothers were however used to verbal agreements and it seems to have been the norm at the time.

My job keeps asking me to work on my days off. What to do?

I really enjoy my new job but I also enjoy my days off. Ive been working there for 2 weeks now and they have already called me in on 5 different occasions to ask if i could come in on my days off. I dont work for money but rather for fun and this is a 7 bucks an hour job that im not willing to give up a weekend for. Ive turned them down 4 times, agreed to come in 1. so my questions are
Managers, how do you feel if your employee refuses to work on a day off? ( expet one time, i has classes when they called me so thats a reasonable excuse)
Also, I dont really ever want to come in when im not scheduled and I have a feeling they will be doing this to me a lot so how do i go about it? Im a horrible liar and would prefer not to make things up
I dont wanna look bad in my managers eyes but i almost never had to deal with this in my last jobs and I just end up feeling guilty. i dont wanna spend my day off feeling like crap because i didnt help them. what to do?
