I Hear Whispering Just When Im About To Sleep

I hear people whispering While im trying to sleep?

I know this sounds weird but this is what happens...

at least twice a week or so when im trying to fall asleep i hear people talking. theyre not always talking to me though sometimes they are. (i sleep on my back so idk if that has anything to do with it) Sometimes ill close my eyes and try to relax so i can get to sleep faster then i hear a voice either behind my head or from my left ear. Last time it was my friend telling a joke and at first it was muffled, like you could hear the consonant sounds but not truly understand the conversation. then i listen deeper and i hear what she was saying for like 5 secs, then it fades away rather fast and i wake up. I lay back down and close my eyes, then i hear another voice. all these voices are people i know btw. This could happen from a few minutes to 10 minutes, and can be annoying. I swear though, one time one of the bits I heard happened the next day, cause it had that weird deja vu feel to it. (and i do have psychic dreams and visions either while im sleeping or while im awake)

One time, a couple years ago, i kept on hearing voices and it was getting annoying until I heard my mom say really softly, as if she was waking me up, "Alissa, you need to wake up now." I almost thought i felt her touch me too.. I opened my eyes and shot up in my bed, cuz i was afraid of waking up late. It was 4 in the morning. I tried to focus my eyes and thought I saw my door close! I didnt have a cat at the time, and im sure my door was wide open. I stayed awake for a while cuz i kept thinking my mom would come in but she didnt. Then i started to fall asleep when I heard my aunt laugh and say,"oh..alissa" I was getting tired though so I ended up just falling asleep. I woke up on time and then I asked my mom why she was in my room (guess ididnt understand it was a dream) and she said that she didnt do anything like that..

Can anyone explain this? I dont understand...

(oh yea and none of these people are dead)

I'm hearing whispers, what should I do?

I cannot diagnosis anyone over the Internet as you would understand. You will need to make an appt with a psychiatrist for a full psychiatric evaluation. They will ask you questions such as when did this start, can you make out what they are saying, how frequent are you hearing them, how long do they last , and how much is it bothering you. They will ask you about your family’s health history including your grandparents and whether anything like this has happened to you before. There are a couple reasons why this could be happening- some are biological and others are environmental. Therefore it is extremely important you are 100 percent honest with who ever is examing you about if you are doing any kind of street drugs past and present, any kind of over the counter medicine, any supplements, any energy drinks, and so on.It is extremely important that you get this checked out. I work with young people who hear mumbling and whispers. It is rare it goes away on its own and if you don't get it checked it will just get worse- please trust me on this. You don't mention how old you are but age does matter . I would also you to share this one person who you trust who can help you get an appointment with a doctor. Whether it is a parent, your partner, a best friend, a teacher , your medical doctor , a mentor , someone like that who cares about you and will help you. You have done the first step by reaching out and asking for help early, now you just need to do the second step.Good Luck!

I heard a whisper in my ear before I fell asleep?

Last night I was laying down, to the point where I'm half asleep. I was so close to falling asleep when I hear a female voice, whisper in my right ear. I wasn't scared, but I woke up instantly. I'm really questioning my sanity because, the sound of her voice was so real. It couldn't but just my head. I forgot what she said, but it had to do with going to sleep, something like stay awake or something like that. And lately i've been feeling cold sensations only on certain parts of my body, like it would be on one spot on my leg. Is there like an explanation for all of this or am I trippin lol.

Why do I hear my name whispered in the rain when I’m trying to sleep on a rainy day?

White noise (like rain, traffic sounds, radio noise, etc.) plays tricks with your brain. It happens to people a lot and is normal.Something similar happens when we “see” faces and figures in random dots and strokes in an abstract pattern.

Heard a whisper in my ear, while I was asleep..!? Help please!?

This has happen to me in the same way....eventually I got to see her and ask questions, we communicated and I wasn't scare anymore of her as I found out she was there to help me, she is my spirit guide, someone whom knew me from a past life.....she came to me for four years, she is amazing, and angel like~

Edit:
All dreams have meaning, and sometimes it is a spirit that will come to give a message, and sometimes they use pictures instead of words to communicate....you have to think about the dream and what they are trying to say by trying to ascertain the meaning. Sometimes we first come up with the wrong meaning, and it depends too if it's a good spirit or demon type spirit.
I don't know what your dreams are so you have to ascertain that, sometimes the meaning is only meant for the one receiving.

Sometimes when I'm alone at night I hear whispering voices that I can't understand?

Sometimes, in the middle of the night when I can't sleep, I'll sneak down into the dark basement alone and get on my computer. I'm not allowed to do this, and I get scared whenever I hear little noises, because I would get in trouble if caught by a parent. This leads me to thinking that what I'm experiencing may simply be caused by some sort of paranoia, but I'd just like to make sure that it's normal. Just to clarify, I don't believe in any sort of spirits at all. This hasn't always happened to me, but recently I've been hearing whispered voices at about the same time every night.

It usually happens sometime around 5:00-5:30 AM. It's always a different voice, and I can never understand what they are saying, although I am sometimes slightly able to make out a word or two. Only once have I heard the voice of someone I knew, which was my mother's. That was the only time that I considered the fact that the whispers may actually have come from a real person as opposed to just being my imagination/hallucination, but it ended up that my mother was actually fast asleep.

I don't have any sort of schizophrenia or anything or any other sort of odd mental disorder, or at least not that I know of. This never happens to me besides the times that I am alone in the basement. It also doesn't seem to happen when I'm talking to someone, because I am sometimes on Skype with people. If I am talking to someone and hearing the voice of another person talk back to me, it will not happen (or at least hasn't yet). However, I have had music or sounds from my computer playing while this happens to me. Does anyone have similar experiences to share or have some sort of information you could give me? Since this is recurring, I'm beginning to wonder about it.

I heard someone whisper in my ear while i was asleep?

Yes I had that happen many times years ago when this one spirit would come to me on a normal bases, at first I thought it was a ghost, but then she would show herself, and then we made communication in many different ways, she came to help me, she's my spirit guide.....perhaps it is your guide.....they call you by your first full name, and usually in a whisper......sometimes my guide would just go on talking out loud, sometimes I can hear every word clearly, and other times not understand any of her words.....but her voice is always gentle.

What are the voices I hear just before sleep?

Well, there's several possibilities. The first most obvious: they could just be actual voices. Maybe the walls between you and your neighbours are thin. That's probably unlikely given the fact that you're asking this, but you never know.Second, it could be a product of your mind as you're drifting off to sleep. On the interface between waking and dreaming, perhaps your mind isn't realising that the voices it's hearing are of its own creation, and you hear them while still slightly aware of your wakeful environment. A similar phenomenon might be responsible for sleep paralysis, which is usually a benign but quite terrifying experience. So nothing to necessarily worry about, unless the sleep paralysis happens often. Interesting nonetheless. Some people suggest that sleep deprivation increases the likelihood of sleep paralysis, so maybe if you're lacking on sleep, this might be telling you you need to catch up.I'd say it's unlikely for them to be something more sinister like psychotic hallucinations (seen in schizophrenia, for example), since you say that they don't seem to be talking to or about you. But if they bother you at all, or you hear them at other times of day, or anything else, it's worth speaking to a doctor about this.I can't think of any other possibilities, but it's either actual voices, or a product of your mind, somehow.Edit: I lied, I thought of another possibility. It could be that for some reason your mind is attributing voices to random sounds that you're hearing. Especially given the white noise situations - you might be interpreting the empty sounds as voice. Again, if it troubles you, see a doctor. If not, it's just an annoying thing the mind does sometimes. We're wired to be super attuned to voices. Maybe yours just does it more than others.

Why do I hear someone shout when I sleep?

If it happens while you are asleep, then it is just a dream. But I suspect that you hear voices when you try to fall asleep ie during the transition to sleep.Such symptoms are called hypnagogic hallucinations. They occur more frequently to people who have narcolepsy. However, they are not dangerous and not a mental illness, and may go away as one gets older. If it is serious and causes problems it is worth seeing someone about it. You can read more in this forum about personal experiences of others.http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/sho...

When I'm on the verge of falling asleep I hear unintelligable fast whispering voices in my head as if I have a psychotic disorder. Why is this?

You’re probably having hypnagogic hallucinations:Hypnagogic Hallucinations: Causes, Symptoms, and MoreSeeing Things? Hypnagogic Hallucinations Overlap With Sleep Paralysis“Auditory hallucinations are also common when the body is falling asleep. These hallucinations are more common when a person is under stress. Most common auditory hallucinations are simple and don’t have a real meaning or purpose. They may involve voices, which are sometimes associated with rapid thoughts. This can lead a person to believe the voices are real.”
