I Heard A Song Once By A Man And He Said

What does it mean when a guy sends a girl a song?

Well, from my point of view, it gets pretty ugly sometimes and this is coming from a lot of experience. That’s a very interesting topic, however. For almost five years, I had a crush on not that good of a person who would never respond to my texts unless I’ve sent them songs specifically for their music taste. They would just ignore me altogether and not communicate what they think or feel even if I asked for some opinion that I used to value a lot, time and time again. I used to assume that this is just the “shy” personality they had but that couldn’t be further from the truth. In hindsight, this is a risky situation that may lead to you being confused and unsure of what you mean to them. Or the other way around which happened to me. I recall that the last conversation we ever had before cutting them off completely ended with them sending me questionable songs with titles like “Are You Ready For Me”, “All By Myself” and some anger after I didn’t reciprocate what they felt. It was pretty creepy when I started analyzing our whole history; once they had sent me a song that was literally titled “Leave Me Alone”. And keep in mind, I thought that I was overthinking the simple things or overreacting. But alas, sometimes it is also really cool to find out that a new person you just met has the exact same taste in music as you! As they say, “One Playlist, One Soul”.In conclusion, it can not always be a totally good thing. Watch out for someone who would just try to fill the holes of broken communication with rhythm&blues. Good luck to you.

What is that song?

There is a song i heard once and i can't find it. All I remember is the course has a guy that talks kinda jamacian or something. and it says somehting like "you're my angel baby...." I remember one part, he's saying how she's been there for everything and he says "you were there through my incarsaration, and then a bunch of other stuff. Anyone heard this song, it's kinda new within the last 5 years anyway, i think.

Do you also experience a person singing the song which is also playing in your head almost like he can hear what you're thinking?

I'm going to base my answer on speculation and the fact that memories  aren't reliable. How often has this happened to you?  Do you have documentation to verify it?  You may be perceiving that it happens more often than it actually does.  How would you know? Your memory of it alone is not a reliable source.See Misinformation effectIt is entirely plausible that you have cause and effect mixed up in your imperfect human brain.  One explanation is that you experienced a bit of déjà vu at the time you heard the person sing the song.  That means your brain may have been mistaken about having been already thinking about the song.  Perhaps you generated that memory when you heard the song and then it seemed out of order - just like déjà vu.See Déjà vu and MemoryAlternatively, let's say this has happened as you remember it at least once.  Why were you thinking of that song? Is it true that at that moment you also didn't hear anyone or anything sing it out loud until you heard the other person? Presumably there was some stimulus to your brain that triggered the thought of that song.  Perhaps the other person's brain received the same stimulus and they happened to vocalize it.  If it was a popular song that has been playing on the radio recently then it could be the case that you had both been exposed to it recently making it more likely to be in your thoughts.

What is the saddest song you know? Or you have ever heard? What is it about?

Busted and Blue - GorillazJust a bit biased, since it’s one of my favorite bands! It’s important to note that the “main band” is, in all honesty, animated. I’m not going to give you the rundown, but it’s important to the song. The main singer, 2D, sings about an existential crisis of his. He doesn’t believe this world he lives in can be real. And what’s really sad is that he’s right, his world is animated. He refers to himself as a satellite. He’s lonely at this moment, and as a satellite, he’s receiving so much to respond to, but all he can think about is how the world and universe before him- and how it could’ve been better.Footnotes:Gorillaz – Busted and Blue

Irish Drinking Song lyrics - man marries woman who is not what she first appears to be?

I think the song you're looking for is "The Very Unfortunate Man". I've heard a country version of it, and I think I've also heard the Irish group The Clancy Brothers sing it.

Here are the lyrics (I found them by Googling the title):

Very Unfortunate Man
(Jimmy Driftwood's reworking of an older song)

There was a lawyer, his name was Clay
He had but two clients and they wouldn't pay
At last, of starvation, he grew so afraid
He courted and married a wealthy old maid.
At the wedding this lawyer made one big mistake
'Twas not in omitting the wine or the cake
The ring was well chosen, they had a big feed
But the lawyer did not get a warranty deed

He's a very unfortunate, very unfortunate, very unfortunate man
He's a very unfortunate, very unfortunate, very unfortunate man

At night in their chamber, this lady arose
And began to prepare to retire and repose
Her husband sat near her admiring her charms
That gave him such pleasure to hold in his arms
She went to the washstand to bathe her fair face
And thus she destroyed all her beauty and grace
The rose on her cheek quickly grew very faint
And he saw on the towel, 'twas nothing but paint

She went to the mirror to take down her hair
And when she got done, her scalp was all bare
Said she, don't be frightened to see my bald head
I'll put on my cap when I get into bed
She hung her false hair on the wall on a peg
And then she proceeded to take off her leg
Her trembling husband got quite a surprise
When she asked him to come and take out her glass eye

The husband stood watching, with trembling lips,
While she unfastened her counterfeit hips;
Just then her false nose clattered down on the floor
And the poor lawyer, screaming, ran out of the door.
Now all you young men who would marry for life,
Be sure in examine your intended wife.
Remember the lawyer who trusted his eyes
And a little while later got quite a surprise.

What great song was "ruined" once you really listened to the lyrics?

For me, it was Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. It’s such fabulous music. My husband and I were night club dancers in the late 80’s. We heard it and we LOVED it immediately.I learn words to songs and so eventually started to listen closer. I got my husband involved…what are they saying??? Then we figured It out: “The kid is not my son!” Oh no, not such a fun song but somebody is lying about him? Or he’s lying? There’s a child who will not know his father? (isn’t there enough of that already?)I accidentally ruined one for my teenage daughter. She was going on and on about how awesome Norwegian Wood (Beatles) is.I think we were working in her room together…I said very casually, “I love it too, but its just SO DARK and disturbing...” She says, “what do you mean?” (I would not answer that question now, if I could do it over. She was around 15–16.)So, I quote the dark and disturbing part of this delicate song that she loves so much: “So I lit a fire, isn’t it good… Norwegian Wood.” She is horrified. She is shocked. She screams, “NO!!!” She wants to run. She is pacing and tearing her hair. She yells at me to Get OUT…I have ruined her favorite song forever!!!!I’m a product of “garbage in; garbage out”…so I wish the songs weren’t making beautiful music about something that is morally wrong or socially unsettling. I believe my subconscious is listening and learning from my words and actions, especially because I learn the words and hum them. For other people…life is probably simpler.

What song says so far away its by a guy?

it's far away by nickelback
i'm pretty sure thats the song you're talking about

In "Piano Man”, an old drunk asks for a song, says it's sad and it's sweet,” then hums a few bars. What song is it?

Billy never reveals the song in question. The melody that he hums is used as a pre-chorus (cleverly, I might add) for all of the requests, as a way of saying “my job here is to play the songs that let you reminisce. Whatever they are, if I know them, I’ll play them”.He says, "Son, can you play me a memoryI'm not really sure how it goesBut it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it completeWhen I wore a younger man's clothes."As was pointed out in a comment, it could be fun to think about what that song might be… “Piano Man” was written in the early 70s. If an older man is asking, it could be a song from the 40s or earlier. He may have been a veteran of WW2, and a “younger man’s clothes” could mean a service uniform. He might be thinking about a song/memory tying him to brothers-in-arms both here and gone, and a memory may be a song they all might have heard during war time that gave them comfort, therefore sad but sweet. What could fit such a request?Perhaps “I’ll be Seeing You” as performed by Billie Holliday.
