I Hit A Curb And Now Whenever I Brake My Car Screeches.

I hit a Curb coming off an off ramp and my steering wheel shakes now?

I hit a Curb coming off an off ramp trying to slow down. I think my brakes locked up when I was slowing down. Anyways my drivers side rim is dented in, but still drivable and my steering wheel shakes at 30 mph and up. I'm taking it in to get check out, but any ideas why my steering wheels shakes so bad?

I hit a curb and now whenever I brake, my car screeches.?

I was slowing down, going 5mph and while I was slowing down, I hit the curb on my front passenger side and I heard a noise,
I got out my car and checked the car and everything was normal. It was when i started driving again, just a few minutes after the hit and i could hear a screeching noise when I brake.
Any help or suggestions on what I should? Should I wait it out?

What causes screeching tires during regular driving?

QUESTION: What causes  screeching tires during regular driving? ANSWER:  As usual, it could be a lot of things. You said "regular driving", so I assume you mean steady, conservative driving, nothing that the cops would frown at, no abrupt changes of direction, no jack-rabbit launches, nor panic stops. So, a quick screech will often happen when you stop with your drive wheels on, or just behind a painted line on the road, like a stop-line. Your tires spin when you start from that stop, because the paint is much more slippery than the bare concrete or asphalt. So the tires are going faster than your vehicle speed when you reach the far side of that line, so there's a quick squeal when they hit the pavement while turning too fast, and they skip a bit before slowing to the speed that matches your vehicle motion. Most other causes of squealing or screeching are due to alignment problems of your vehicle and its wheels.  Too much toe-in or toe-out will cause some squeal. A bent axle or incorrect camber for the vehicle weight can cause one or more tires to not track straight.... Or to not track properly when turning, even in a smooth turn with a wide radius. In all those cases, it's unbalanced force and friction that causes the squeal. The offending tire is pulled loose from the pavement, slips horizontally a tiny bit, catches traction again, gets pulled loose again.... At very low speed, that makes a growl. At higher speed, the juddering is higher in pitch... a squeal.

If my car was making a hissing noise after i drove over a curb but it stopped after a few minutes, is it safe?

I hit a curb and my car is slightly shaking?

Time for a trip to the wheel and tire shop. You have bent the rim and damaged the tire. Both must be replaced because this kind of damage can and will lead to a catastrophic failure if you continue to drive on it.

I keep dreaming I can’t brake in the car, or I can but too slowly and I’ll hit another car. What does this mean?

It sounds like a classic anxiety dream. You don’t state your level of experience, but I recall having similar dreams when I was new to driving. As my experience and confidence grew, the dreams diminished, and then stopped altogether. Some years later, I started to take up motorsport. At first I wasn’t all that competitive, but over time I started to improve. I would then get anxiety dreams about not being able to get the car to go fast enough! Many years later still, I decided to learn to fly. Well, those anxiety dreams popped straight back up, only this time I would wake up in a panic because I had no idea how to land! Then I learned how to land and those dreams stopped.Contrary to a lot of woo talked about dream analysis, I believe dreams are a fairly straightforward thing where the brain is essentially sorting through new recent experiences and trying to slot them into existing contexts. As such anxiety dreams of this sort have an extremely obvious origin.

Leaking oil after hitting a curb?

i hit a curb badly. i didnt see it and heard metal screeching when i hit it. when i got home, i saw brownish black oil pouring out a lot under the car engine. Im not sure what i damaged, so i checked the oil level on the dipstick and it was completely empty. what do you think happened and what should i do?

HIT A CURB REALLY HARD. NOW MY TIRES SQUEAL AROUND EVERY TURN. PLUS MY STEERING WHEEL IS CROOKED?

If your lucky....

You just bent a tie rod slightly......and the wheels are not aligned straight to each other anymore.

@$75 to have it aligned at a wheel/tire shop.

It may be worse .......and you may need , bearings, upper or lower ball joints, or control arm bushings.

Usually a light curb hit will just bend a tie rod though
