I Hit A Gator With My Car Do I Get To Keep The Gator

John deer gator 825i speed limiter removal?

Well Kyle, you can change the thickness of the spacer, But why? its just a cheap piece of plastic, just remove it and keep your foot out of it to keep your speed down, I really don't want to get into how a CVT type clutch set up works here but basically there just a pair of centrifugal clutches that work off fly weights and springs, as the engine RPM goes up the drive clutch collapses and as you speed up the transmission clutch expands, changing gear ratio, It's not so much a speed limiter as it is a ratio limiter, Lets say a farmer wants to pull a load with his UTE, at 3500 RPM that drive clutch is fully collapsed but he has such a load his transmission speed cant keep up, thus belt slippage, There's actually an art to setting up these transmissions for a specific application, generally its done with springs and yes spacers, If your using this on a farm I'd leave it alone, if you wanted to go fast I would have bought a Polaris or Artic Cat. and as it would appear your not capable of disassembling your drive clutch to remove said spacer why worry about it?

If you cover an alligator's eyes, does it go to sleep?

Once in the Everglades, an alligator wrestler explained to us that if you were attacked by an alligator, to try to jump on its back and get your hands over its eyes because when you do so and the alligator can see nothing but darkness, its brain tells it it must be asleep and it will go to sleep. He demonstrated and sure enough, when he covered its eyes, it stopped moving and when he took them off, it seemed the alligator was asleep until the wrestler woke him back up.

But I can't find anything that corroborates this. Anyone know? Can anyone point me to a source that confirms it?

Can You Raise An Alligator As A Pet?

Alligators babies used to be common in pet stores. You would buy them about eight inches long. No problem.. the majority died very shortly from people not knowing how to care for them. Others reached a fuller state of maturity... Alligators are not domesticated. Cannot be domesticated. Yes, they would like to eat you. No matter what you do for them, they will never 'love' you or decide you are off the menu. They are not good choices as pets. If you want a dangerous animal that you can fully tame, get a powerful dog or a horse.

Can an American alligator attack under water?

They can and do. (And for those out there who dive in alligator country or know people who do... certain times of year can be more risky than others... a key part of alligator courtship involves the male submerging and blowing bubbles under the female's chin... so don't let them get the wrong idea....)

Several years ago, there was a guy in my area who had been trespassing into a local golf course and diving for balls... he nearly had his hand bitten off.

Here's the thing... in Florida, we've had about 25 human fatalities from alligators in the past 50 years... DOGS kill more people than this EVERY YEAR in our state... you've gotta really be trying to even be attacked by a gator, much less killed by one.

As for brain size, adult alligators have a brain about the size of the end section of your thumb (not including olfactory receptors), and they're actually pretty smart considering...

As for horrible animals... there's worse out there, gators are actually pretty cool.

Is pepper spray effective on alligators?

You guys watch too much TV. You know Crocodile Dundee killed one with just a knife. Whatsa madder fo you ?

Jump on their back and drive the knife into that kill spot you describe.

First it is REAL illegal to even feed or tease an alligator, let alone kill one. While you can in Florida open carry a handgun, you better be real sure to have proof that you were in fear for your life. Not just a story that you thought so. BUT I also know a guy who's dog just got swallowed by an alligator, he got his gun and shot the gator in his own backyard. Went to jail, lost all his other firearms and was fined. Now dis-allowed from ever owning another firearm.

There is an alligator hunting season, that is what you are seeing on TV most likely kids. You best not mess with gators. Or just pick on the little ones, and hope they don't call their mother.

EDIT : As to legality I just noticed. Open carry i Florida is only allowed while in engaged in fishing activity, or camping. Otherwise concealed carry ONLY. SORRY for my oversight, in not fully explaining that.
