I Hit My Head A Couple Weeks Ago And Now I

I hit my head a couple days ago and now it itches?

Sometimes when you hit your head or cause injury to some other part of your body whether the skin is broken or not, you will sense the itching sensation. This is just nerves and your body's way of telling you hey you hurt me and now I am trying to heal myself. HTH

Just hit my head after having a concussion a few weeks ago?

If you did not lose consciousness, are not vomiting, are not having any memory problems, are not having a severe headache, are not having any neurological symptoms (such as numbness, tingling, weakness, confusion, etc.), and are not having seizures, you will likely be fine. If any of the above are true, or if you just don't feel right, go get checked out just to be sure.

And be more careful! ;)

I had a hit of weed one time four weeks ago. What should I do if I have a hair drug test on Tuesday?

I have no personal experience or knowledge, but from what I've researched:It seems as though they look for 1.5" of head hair (goes back 90 days). If the head hair is too short they can use body hair, (can go back even further than 90 days!).It seems that in order to test positive, the drug in question must have been used 3 times or more within the window of the test.If you shave head to toe, they can't perform the test.I really hope this isn't a probation test, because there is a pretty big risk that you're going to jail. I agree with the other answer, your best bet is to hope to fall below the sensitivity threshold.

Hit my head twice within a week?

Hi about 6 days ago I hit the top back of my head at the bathroom door but besides some local pain for a few minutes I've been fine. Today I hit the back of my head again when I accidentally headbutted my fiance. Now I'm stressing I might have cause some mayor injury because I've hit it twice.

I hit my head 3 days ago and I have a light bump, do I have a concussion?

It’s very doubtful - usually concussion would be evident within a much shorter time.A bump on the head is not even one of the signs of concussion - which are:Headache or a feeling of pressure in the head.Temporary loss of consciousness.Confusion or feeling as if in a fog.Amnesia surrounding the traumatic event.Dizziness or "seeing stars"Ringing in the ears.Nausea.Vomiting.

I hit my head a few days ago and still hurts after 3 days?

It means you probably have a concussion. If you feel any numbness/tingling, start acting different from usual, blurry/double vision, clearish fluid coming from your ears, or slurred speech, then go to the ER.

If anything gets worse, also go to the ER.

If things are staying the same or getting a little better (or better than the first couple of days) then that's fine.

The only thing you can do for concussions is to rest or take some Tylenol for the pain. Don't watch TV, don't text, don't play video games, don't be on the computer if you don't have to be, as these can make your symptoms worse.

Hit head, now seeing black spots?

About 3 weeks ago, I wiped out skiing and hit my head in both the front and the back. I was wearing a helmet, and I stood up literally 2 seconds after it happened. My head felt a little weird, but I continued skiing that day and the day after. The first couple of nights I had nightmares and a little bit of nausea and a slight headache. I am a college student, and when I returned to class 3 days after it happened I couldn't concentrate on anything, and I was having trouble recognizing the spelling of words (I was in an Italian class too which made this really annoying). I went to the student health center and they said I had a mild concussion, which I figured. A few days after that, I started seeing black spots and having ringing in my ears combined with the nausea, headaches, and nightmares. I went to the ER and they told me these symptoms were normal and could take weeks to months to go away, and there was really no absolute need to do a CT scan.

It has been 3 weeks and all the symptoms are coming and going now which is nice, but the black spots happen pretty much constantly. I also feel generally confused about things that I shouldn't be confused about and am having trouble remembering things. My friends and school counselor are pretty worried, and I am kind of getting annoyed with this. I guess my question is this normal for 3 weeks after a concussion? And should I think about getting my head scanned?

I hit my head on a wall and now feel dizzy. Could I have a concussion?

. The brain is free to move a little within the skull, and can thus be 'shaken' by a blow to the head. This shaking is called concussion.· Among the common causes of concussion are traffic incidents, sports injuries, falls, and blows received in fights.· Concussion produces widespread but temporary disturbance of normal brain activity. However, it is not usually associated with any lasting damage to the brain.· The casualty will suffer impaired consciousness, but this only lasts for a short time (usually only a few minutes) and is followed by a full recovery.·By definition, concussion can only be confidently diagnosed once the casualty has completely recovered.RECOGNITION Brief period of impaired consciousness following a blow to the head.· There may also be: Dizziness or nausea on recovery. Loss of memory of events at the time of, or immediately preceding the injury. Mild, generalised headache.TREATMENT.  Check the casualties level of response using the AVPU code:A - is the casualty alert, eyes open and responding to questionsV - does the casualty respond to voice, obey simple commandsP - does the casualty respond to pain (e.g. eyes open or movement in response to being pinched)U - is the casualty unresponsive2.Regularly monitor and record vital signs - level of response, breathing and pulse. Even if the casualty appears to recover fully, watch them for any deterioration in their level of response.3.When the casualty has recovered, place them in the care of a responsible person. If a casualty has been injured on the sports field, never allow them to 'play on' without first obtaining medical advice.4. Advise the casualty to go the hospital, if following a blow to the head, they develop symptoms such as headache, vomiting, confusion, drowsiness or double vision.5. The Aim is To ensure the casualty recovers fully and safely.6. To place the casualty in the care of a responsible person. To obtain medical aid if necessary.7.Warning - If the casualty does not recover fully, or if there is a deteriorating level of response after an initial recovery, dial for an ambulance.8. I fell and hit my head very hard two days ago, and it is still hurting pretty badly. How likely is it that I have a concussion?

I have had concussion on two occasions. It has nothing to do with the amount of pain you are experiencing. Concussion is basically a trauma to the brain. Symptoms are things like double vision and/or other perceptual processing disturbances, short term memory less and cognitive processing problems. A couple of simple tests — try standing upright with your eyes closed. If you experience a feeling of losing your balance then you may be concussed. Another is to try touching your nose with forefinger of each hand. If you have trouble doing that you may be concussed. There are others as well, so don't only rely on those. Simplest rule is if you feel unwell see your doctor. Banging your head hard doesn't automatically mean you will get concussion but if it still hurts after a few days you should probably get it checked out anyway.
