Is brown hair and blue eyes a rare combination?

Blue eye color is predominately governed by the melanin content in the iris. The gene for this is on Chromosome 15. I think blue eyes are roughly 8% of the population. The actual color of your eyes is polygenic, but I’m over-simplifying because no matter what the color your genes give you, you can’t have blue eyes without low melanin content in your iris.Brown hair color is also polygenic and roughly 11% of the population have brown hair. The genes for hair color is found on chromosomes 3, 6, 10, and 18.Since both brown hair and blue eyes are on different chromosomes you can essentially call them independent inheritance factors.Since blue eyes is 8%, I think that’s pretty rare, and brown hair is 11%, that’s also rare, it follows that blue eyes and brown hair should be rare as well. You decide for yourself what percentage of a population should be before you consider it to be rare.Being independent variables means we can simply multiply the two variable probabilities together to get 0.88% of the population will have both traits. Thus very rare.

Women's Fashion and Style: Should leggings and yoga pants go away?

All these answers say no, but let me make a case for yes (sort of).People that think yoga pants and leggings should "go away" really mean that they wish people would wear them less. They have become so popular that some people are sick of seeing them. There are a TON of clothing options out there. I understand people saying how leggings are affordable and versatile. That is true, but so many other items of clothing are ALSO affordable, versatile, and comfortable.Take for example the slouchy black trouser. You can wear it with 80% of the outfits that you can wear leggings with. It gives a more slouchy silhouette, which after all those years wearing tight pants will feel like a breath of fresh air. Perhaps even more comfortable than tight leggings! It's a good feeling to step out and try a new style of clothing. It's just clothing after all. Why not shake things up and expand your options beyond the legging?

What are some DIY ideas to decorate a single room at a very low budget?

I didn’t quite like the options shown on the previous answers, so here is my view. For me DIY projects are supposed to be fun and relaxing, but at the same time should allow me to learn new things, experiment and test my creativity. Here are some ideas that I really like and enjoyed doing. It may seem a bit pricier than the other things listed before, but I don’t like something that feel cheap and will fall apart in a couple of months.Chalk WallThis was one of the toughest projects for my creativity, and one of the most rewarding. In addition to the infinite ways you can decorate it (notes, quotes, patterns, images), I love how a simple black wall change the surrounding. I’m not the biggest calligraphist, far from that, so I had to think of other ways to fill the wall. Here is what I came up withChalk Stencils! Grind some chalk and add some water to make a paste. Print or make a stencil that you like and use the paste as the paint (experiment with different parts of water and chalk to get some interesting results). Really fun project and it’s an easy discussion topic for everyone that notices it.Brick WallThis is another way to completely redecorate a wall and atmosphere. A challenging project for sure, but totally doable and with lots of options within it. I recommend using tiles to fake the bricks, it’s easier, less messy and could be cheaper. This one is really straightforward, make your research, find your materials and get your hands dirty.StencilOnce again, endless possibilities. I love the modern and urban look of stencils, so why not make one? Get a canvas or in my case a piece of plywood, choose an image, a stencil and just go for it. I choose a famous intervention by Banksy and made it work on the space I had (Image below). For sure not the best stencil work, but for my fist try I, for sure, was pretty happy with the results.Wood transferI haven’t tried this one yet, but I feel like it would be the perfect way to show my love for photography. This project allows you to choose the dimensions and type of image at display, so you can fit your needs and use it the way you see fit. Looking for examples I feel like combining a black and white photography with the grain of the wood is the way to go.Bottom-lineThe work you put in something defines the results, so read about what you pretend to do, watch videos and get your creativity going. You can easily find how to make the ideas above online. Don’t be afraid of trying and have fun.
