I Just Bought Logic Pro X Now What

Logic Pro X or FL Studio...?

I just bought Logic Pro X a week ago and i feel like a made the wrong choice of buying it. I see that a lot of people use FL and others for hip hop or rap beats. What would you guys use for making cool beats like that.

Which mac should I buy for logic pro x?

Iv never owned a Mac, but I learned to use Logic Express in a Midi class in college. Logic pro x is the latest version so im wondering which mac to get. I was thinking Mac book Pro since I love the convenience of laptops. Is there a difference in specs between the two macbook pro models? Can they both run logic pro x well?

How can I import samples that i bought into Logic Pro X?

I recently bought some sample packs from zenhiser.com and i'm not sure how to properly import them into logic pro x correctly so i can play them on my midi controller. for example one sample pack that i bought was "old skool house chords" and when i try to import it, it loads the chords onto the sampler but they're not placed in the right "note/key" category, if that makes any sense. it's hard to explain it through words without showing you guys.

Is it worth it to buy Logic Pro X?

You can read my related answer here: What is the best DAW on the market right now? But, the answer to this questions depends on you. Ideally, you want to buy a program that you are comfortable with and a program that allows you to create anything that comes to your imagination. There are many programs out there that can accomplish this, depending on your tastes, but for me Logic Pro X is that program. Let me make my case:Logic Pro X only costs $200. That's a very competitive price for all the features it holds. Apple (the owners of Logic Pro X) acquired Alchemy from Camel Audio. The Alchemy plugin alone used to be sold for $250. They could have updated Logic Pro to a new version and charge a premium fee, but when they updated Logic Pro X with Alchemy, the update was FREE. Months prior to releasing Alchemy, the Logic Pro team let out a massive free update as well.Logic Pro X's $200 price tag makes it one of the cheapest, (if not the cheapest), industry standard programs available. Logic Pro X is one of the applications that gives you the MOST "bang" for your buck. Compare it with the prices of FL Studio, Cubase or Ableton. Logic Pro X is a steal! Logic Pro X allows you to get stuff done right out-of-the-box. Their Orchestra and "real" instruments are adequate but can sound more realistic. Their newer drums are pretty well-made and so are their synths. With Alchemy, you can basically make any instrument that comes to your mind... Logic Pro X is also equipped with other stock plugins that allows you to shape the sound of the available instruments or create ones that are totally unique. Logic Pro X's built-in mixing and mastering plugins are pretty well-made too. Unlike some of the applications you come across, you can count on a lot of the stock plugins, and instruments available in Logic Pro X. If you don't like the plugins or instruments, you can find 3rd party plugins/instruments for the ones you are not satisfied with. You can find out more here: Logic Pro X - Music production. Cranked up to X.At the end of the day, it does not matter what application you buy. You can make hits in Garageband! The famous saying is, "it's the DAW, not the user." Logic Pro X (or any application you choose) can provide you the tools, but will you be able to utilize those tools to their best potential? If you try Logic Pro X and your answer is yes, then Logic Pro X was worth your buy. I can't speak for others, but it was worth my buy.

On how many Macs can I install Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X?

It depends on being personal use, commercial use, or educational use, and the best way to find out is to go to the Apple website and read the terms and conditions. Here’s what it says (for FCPX, LPX is probably the same):A. License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, unless you obtained the Apple Software as described in Section 2B [Volume or Maintenance License], you have the right to use the Apple Software as permitted by the Mac App Store Product Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms and Conditions […], and are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license:(i) to download, install, use and run for personal, non-commercial use, one (1) copy of the Apple Software directly on each Apple-branded computer running OS X (“Mac Computer”) that you own or control; and(ii) if you are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, to download, install, use and run one (1) copy of the Apple Software for use either: (a) by a single individual on each of the Mac Computer(s) that you own or control, or (b) by multiple individuals on a single shared Mac Computer that you own or control. For example, a single employee may use the Apple Software on both the employee’s desktop Mac Computer and laptop Mac Computer, or multiple students may serially use the Apple Software on a single Mac Computer located at a resource center or library.Legal - Software License Agreements - Apple

Can Logic Pro X scan or read VST Plug-ins through an External Hard Drive?

Obviously, Logic Pro X only runs from a mac so many of you know I'm using a Mac computer.

I'm running many VST Plug-ins that filled over 50gb of the memory (after I bought and installed Komplete 9 that filled 3/4 of it LOL).

I want to lower the memory of the Mac HD so it can run faster and also organize easier on my folders in finder/library.

I moved some Plug-ins in the external HD, run logic pro x, and realized that it didn't read it.

So, is there any possible way for Logic Pro X to scan The VST from the External HD?
-Did I do something wrong?
- should I put some folder in my comp in order to scan it?
-Should I put my Logic Pro X in my external HD?
-OR, there's nothing to do about it?

Where can I download logic pro for free?

It’s only available through the Mac App Store. There are a ton of protections built into the store that would prevent a free version from being downloaded. There are cracked versions that you can get from torrents, but I highly advise against that route for both support of the developer and yourself, and there are often hidden bits of malware included in cracked software. That said, not the only option. There are free codes for Logic. For one thing, every Apple employee can get one if they want.So one option is to find and befriend an Apple store employee that hasn’t used theirs.Another is that Logic can be installed on multiple computers. Find someone who has it that is willing to let your computer be logged in under their Apple App Store account. Those are the only safe ways I know of to get Logic for free. Also, if you have to pay for it, it is one of the least expensive full featured DAWs out there and comes with a ton of built in instruments and sounds that a lot of other more expensive DAWs don’t.
